We were referred to Nena 5 years ago by our CPA financial planner. She has proven each year easier to work with and a better communicator than the CPA firms we had used in the past. Nena has provided help with our out-of -state income and complex investment situations. She is very knowledgeable and will research complex issues to ensure she has the up to date info as rules can change at any time! Since COVID we have used ZOOM instead of in-person meetings; we scan the 1099s and worksheets then upload to her portal. Her "Taxdome" web portal is an improvement which allows us to see past year tax returns and documents we have uploaded. Our past CPAs did not offer easy access to our filings and data. Her rates are reasonable and we never feel rushed. She responds promptly to confidential messaging via her portal. Try expecting that from a CPA! We recommend Nena highly. Her reputation continues to grow; so book an appointment early!

This is my first year filing taxes with Nena and I will definitely be back. The system where you upload your documents is very easy and user-friendly. It helped things go very quickly. Once I got there, there was only a couple more documents to enter and I was out of there with taxes filed in less than an hour. She's very thorough and makes sure to triple check her work as well as has you double check info as well. Highly recommend!

I have found less expensive and WAAAY BETTER Service. These people are soooo RUDE and don't take the time to go over other possibilities of saving you money. Its their way or the highway. Go somewhere else ! Save your money

I employed a nanny for our son and had done the payroll taxes myself for a household employee. Then I recently had received a notice saying that there was a discrepancy between social security's records and the IRS records. I couldn't find the discrepancy and knew I was out of my league. I heard of Nena through a friend of a friend. I brought my records to her and she was able to find the (kind of tricky!!) mistake on my part -- and lo and behold it was that I had overpaid taxes! Even if I had owed, it was still clear to me that Nena knew what she was doing and she dug and dug until she found the mistake. It was like a weight off my shoulders to have an expert fix what was over my head!! Come to Nena if you get a tax notice and aren't sure what to do!

Nena and her staff are very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and detail oriented. I work in accounting, and know a thing or two, but ever changing tax laws are difficult to keep up with so I rely on Nena and her staff when it comes to tax planning and ensuring my my taxes are done right. Nena and her staff's knowledge, thoroughness and attention to detail is top notch. I also appreciate how collaborative and supportive everyone in the office is. What a fantastic team! I'm not one who loves IRS paperwork nor Franchise Tax stuff either. You know somethings you are gifted in and some things your not. Taxes....I'm not. Just the thought of doing them gives me anxiety. I am so afraid of making an error. Nina Carey, she is gifted in everything numerical. She has the ability to be professional, accurate, and precise while still maintaining a friendly down to earth atmosphere in both her office and character. She has done my taxes for years and always has the most up to date information on the new tax laws (as you know they are always changing). I wouldn't go anywhere else for my financial needs.
