This deserves a review for all Bank of America's, including their 800 number. ZERO stars if I could. I opened a new account (though I'm not a new customer). Set up direct deposit but it hasn't hit yet. Went to cash my check on 2/16 and they wouldn't cash it. Understandable, new account. Was told I had to deposit it and there would be a hold. Asked for them to call the bank on the check to verify funds, they wouldn't. That's a first. Went to Walmart to cash, they wouldn't do it. Went to a second location of Bank of America (Greenback) to see if they could help me. I asked to check if there was going to be a hold and how long. The woman at the counter told me yes but that it would be available on 2/17 (day after). She said that checks ALWAYS are available the next day. Hours later got a notification that my check was being held until 2/26. I have zero dollars, no food, no gas, and a medication that I have 3 days left on. Called the customer service line and let them know I am running out of my medication and no compassion there. Most important thing for me was that I have that medication. But no help. Closing this account just as fast as I opened it. I have worked at the same company for 11 1/2 years and have never had this problem with a check. I've worked for this company when I banked with Bank of America the first time and never had this problem. This is BS. If the person at the bank told me there was a possibility that I might get a notification later my check was being held, I would have just taken it to a check cashing place. I will file a complaint since it technically is an emergency. (This review is for both Kingswood and Greenback locations)

The reviews on this bank are very accurate. The customer service is hit or miss. They seem to pay more attention to women especially if they are nice looking women. They give pre-feral treatment to these kids of people. Also people who are making large deposits. Just to get a question answered, you are looked at and talked to with attitude. B of A employees are terrible. I have been with B of A for over 45 years. I know I know, why do I stay with them. I stay because it's too much of a pain to set back up all my bill pay, accounting info for my small business. But I steer my kids away from B of A. They can Suck it!!!

I try to avoid going into this bank because of poor service and rude employees. Today I went to use the ATM but it was filthy and 2 people were either sleeping (or dead) in the ATM area. So I went to enter the bank, there was garbage all over the entry and a sign saying this back is temporarily closed. Really awful bank.

It would be nice if they went back to normal hours as these hours are very inconvenient! They close so early that it is impossible for a working person to get there before closing and they are closed on Saturdays now. Unfortunately this is my dad's bank and I have to do his banking. I have to take time off work just to go into the bank. Thank goodness my banking is not with them. My bank is open till 6 M-F and till noon on Sat as all banks should be. Very Frustrating, as well as bad customer service!! (Not talking about the employees as I have never been inside the bank)

This BOA is not the same anymore, the customer service is getting worst and worst. They sounds so annoyed by customer, there's no thank you or have a nice day or anything nice. They reply with "anything else" and when I leave there wasn't even a simple bye. They just turn away and start talking to their co-workers. They are so rude...

Don't waste your time with this bank if you are a small business ! Everything they do is done at the corporate level so there is almost NO real local customer service. I applied for a PPP loan ( i am a 35 year customer with B of A) and their service was non existent. No updates, no returned calls and no help regarding the status of my requested loan application. 5 weeks and nothing until i was told my loan was "cancelled". I applied at another bank and my loan was approved within 7 days! Bank of America is a pathetic organization when it comes to small business and customer service. Bank anywhere but with B of A and you will be much better off !

Visited this bank a week ago to take one name off one account. I've been a customer since 1990 and processed a handsome amount of money through this bank. I can tell you that from my first hand experience, this operation is a joke, and here is why: Somebody named Lawrence who was an alleged manager was very condescending and told me that "in this day and age, you make an appointment before coming to this bank." It was 11 am and he told me that we can't be helped because he had to send people to lunch. All while he was doing absolutely nothing productive, other than micromanaging the tellers. He could have help us instead, this is how any other functional manager would create customer satisfaction. The whole 3 minute transaction lasted two hours, so it turns out that there was really nobody at lunch, and they just don't have the staff to help the customers. They also don't have the notary public, so they were going to send us in a nearby shopping mall to the UPS store to have their paperwork notarized. Finally we got together with a girl named Eve, who had absolutely no idea how to help us for the lack of experience, but was pleasant enough. She took another hour out of our lives that we'll never get back. At last, a sharp young man named Hilario popped out of nowhere, and our transaction was done within about 3 minutes, with respectful demeanor and pleasant helpful attitude. Now that guy should be running the place and Lawrence should go back to wherever they teach children manners. Since I really don't have the time to deal with an arrogant manager, spending 2 hrs away from my work to take abuse from a kid who makes his paycheck from my business, I'm in the process of transferring all my accounts to another financial institution. Also, escalating Lawrence's behavior and the whole issue to the corporate level.

I would have never taken the time or the energy to write a review if I wasn't so disappointed and upset with the customer service received at this location. I had been a loyal customer of BOFA for 13 years and an employee of the company for 10 years, and never thought I would be treated the way I was treated by Kenneth, the branch manager at Orangevale location. Due to his treatment, I had to close my accounts and move my banking relationship to another Financial Institution. Absolutely hurt and disappointed, and if I could I would give him a zero star for his horrible and snobbish attitude.

I'm a new BOA customer and I have only been to this branch and I've been treated well every time and am always given great customer service. I always seem to meet with Fariba and she's so professional and personable at the same time! She's really helpful.

The supervisor behind the glass today was the worst customer service I've ever run into. His condescending attitude is the reason that this bank will never get my business accounts

Sat for half an hour waiting to get a replacement debit card today. After everyone before me was helped the first banker called out to her coworkers she was going to lunch as she walked right past me. Then another woman walked in saying she had an appointment she was half an hour late for. The one banker left helped her instead of me. I couldn't wait any longer as I had used my entire lunch break. And no new atm card so I couldn't even get lunch. I called the bank and after 3 calls someone finally answered the phone. The manager would call me back they said. Still haven't received that call. Closing all accounts tomorrow and going to a bank where maybe I matter at least a little.
