I've been taking my cars to them for 20 years along with my co-workers but their inspection charges are outrageous now. I literally paid $500.00 for them just to let me know my car is leaking fluids, and to fix a service engine light. Then, it was going to cost me $1,500.00 to fix a few hoses that were leaking fluids. Never again, I'm taking my car back to this place.

I've been coming here for a few years, mostly for smog but I've had U.A.S. do some other work on my vehicles and am always satisfied. Honest and up front, that's what you want with a mechanic. The Good: pretty much all the work they do is good work. Never had a complaint or issue. The pricing is always fair, and the customer service is always pleasant. Like I said, they are fair and honest. Mechanics don't last long and this one has been here for years (see picture) Rick helped me out this time with some smog and tire repair, but all their reps are awesome! The Bad: sometimes it can take a little longer than expected but it's gonna be shorter than other places. The Ugly: the grease stains on the floor? Idk this place is really clean. The bathroom I suppose could use a little work but it's a mechanic shop, why are you spending time in the bathroom? So long as I keep having great interaction and service, I'll keep coming to United Automotive Service

These guys are awesome!Saw a negative review of a guy that wanted them to put pep-boys parts on something and complained they said no. Probably doesn't rely on his car making him money. Thank the owner for honesty, reliability and just getting the job done!Sean McGrewMcGrew Masonry & Concrete

I had issue with my car and was towed to this location by AAA. My mistake was I trusted AAA for referral. Busy and had to wait for a day before they were able to look at the car. UAS wanted $3000 when I ended up paying $1700 somewhere else. They charged me $288 for inspection and diagnostics. Very expensive.

I have taken my car (several in fact) to United Automotive over the years. My dad uses them, and the business he works for also uses their services. I have received nothing but top notch service, clear communication, and great, fair rates. They always seem to go above and beyond for their customers and do everything in their power to make sure you leave happy, with a car that is not only working great but continues to perform that way long after you leave the shop. They have never tried to "sell" me something I don't need just because I am a woman and always speak to me like an intelligent human being, which is super refreshing! I am actually about to take my current vehicle in for something minor just to get a second opinion on something a popular towing and battery company is trying to convince me I need but I just don't think is true. As long as United is around, and I live anywhere close, I won't trust my cars anywhere else! I've also converted my sister and am working on my husband until we are a 100% United Automotive family!! If it isn't clear by now, I just admire every person I've had the pleasure of meeting at UA and believe that they are the best around!Services: Auto engine diagnostic

I've been using United Auto for over 10 years now. All in all good service. Chris at the front d so is especially easy to work with and gives the place feeling of professionalism missing at other automotive maintenance businesses. Honest and follow through on quotes has created trust and a relationship with this place. I want to say that their was an individual that I didn't trust at the front desk for a while and felt like he was taking advantage ...he seems to be gone now. Rick and Chris have your back while being fare with price and outcome.

My granddaughter was going to purchase a Nissan Pathfinder. It looked like it was in great shape. However, thanks to United Automotive, they did an inspection, and we found out it had many many problems. Purchasing it would've been a major mistake.

I have really wanted to give this shop a chance. I really did... I've struggled to find a good reliable shop for a Z, one who didn't want to take advantage of the type of car, to charge outrageous amounts of money for repairs. This shop was recommended to me by a previous employee who did nothing but speak highly of them. Not soon after that conversation I needed a right ball joint replaced. After calling around another place wanted to charge about $900 for the change and United was willing to do the repair for about $400. Since they were highly recommended, I choose to have the work done with them. Got the car back... all seemed great. About a year or so later, the warning light came on out of nowhere and the ABS relay wouldn't turn off when the car was shut off. I rushed the vehicle over to them and didn't demand that they worked on it right away. I only asked if they could look at it while the problem was happening, and turn it off so that it didn't burn something else out. Then let me know what the issue is so I could get it fixed when they had time to fit it in. They looked at it the next day. Turned out they couldn't replicate the issue, but had thought it was the ABS relay. Since... I had to pay $120 for them to look at it, even though they couldn't replicate the issue, and didn't want to just change a part for no reason, I had them change it. I was paying money anyway right? It's an old car, lets start fixing things... A few weeks later, I popped the hood. Only to find the entire left brake fluid cover and gasket missing from the engine bay. The next day, I called to complain and asked to have it put back on. They proceeded to tell me, they wouldn't do anything until the car was brought back in and they'd NEVER do anything like that... I couldn't get the car in for the next two months due to being in a different state for an extended amount of time. I had pictures ready to send over and after repeating that I couldn't get the car in right away, I had to demand that they looked for the missing part. They allowed me to send the photo's over, said they'd look for the part and repeated again this isn't something they do. Several hours later, I got a call saying they found the missing cover and gasket under a table in the shop. They held it until my return and installed within minutes after my arrival. No apologies, nothing. Things happen... I get it. Would've been great if it was handled a bit different other than accusing the customer of taking the part off, then coming after them for a new one. This brings me to less than a week later, it's an old car, it wasn't running the best so I was looking around the engine, checking fluids trying to figure out what's wrong. While checking things out I proceeded to find a plastic piece rattling around the front bumper. Not attached to a damn thing. The holes are not ripped as if I hit it and knocked free, there are no screws and no clips anywhere to be seen and no indication of where this part could've come from. It has no part number on it, but after doing more research, it looks to be a plastic cover that would need to be removed in order to work on the ball joint. The car hasn't been anywhere for that type of repair since my first visit to this shop. Okay... now I'm out of luck with a part that I'll now have to pay someone to figure out how to reinstall. Granted... it's not preventing me from driving the vehicle, but where I found it, I do believe it was blocking the airflow to the radiator. Once the loose piece was removed the car has not misbehaved again. That brings me to today. The car has many oil leaks, and today I decided to lift it and poke around to see if I could pin point where the severe oil leak was coming from. While searching.... I found yet ANOTHER loose piece of plastic not attached to anything, within the right hand side of the bumper, that matches the same type of plastic consistency of the first part found in the bumper. Now, I ha

Awesome service. I took my Ford F-350 in for a coolant leak. Chris called and told me it was the primary water pump. He asked when I bought my truck. He discovered it would probably be covered on warranty. I called Ford. He was right. He saved me thousands of dollars. What a great honest man. They also did a front brake job on the truck. Work was done great and reasonable. THANKS. I WILL BE BACK.

This review is not meant to deface or belittle United Automotive Repair shop, this is my frustration with their strict stance.I've been bringing our company car here for repairs for several years. They do very very good work, their auto techs are very skilled. What pisses me off is the fact that we loyal patrons have to pay the almost double uprated cost for part that they buy to install on our vehicles. These are extremely tough times thanks to China's covid dispersment. We are NOT allowed to provide our own car parts for reasons I cannot get a solid answer for. Example I had a leaky AC distrabution hose replaced and the price was THREE TIMES the cost, for an equivalent hose from Hoseman. THREE TIMES the cost, the labor cost I have no problem with at all. A OEM AC Distribution hose for my car from hoseman, or any supplier is on average $45.00.In addition the rotors and calipers for the front of our car need to be replaced, I asked if they will rebuild the calipers amd and replace the rotors with my own supplied equipment, from PEPBOYS Brake Stop line. Nope, United says NO! I asked can you make a recommendation to a repair shop that will do my brake work, AGAIN NO... This is just poor quality customer service. Net2U caters to our clients needs if they want to supply their own pc equipment and want us to upgrade or install it. We are extremely happy to have their business. If we cannot provide a service or fill a need, we have recommendations to supply them with information to trust worthy service providers thay can give them what we cannot. Theres more than enough business for everyone, and the customer is Our reason for being, we greatly acknowledge this as a fact. Untited Auto Repair makes us feel like they just do not give a damn about what best suits our needs financially. Its their way or hit the highway. It's getting harder and harder to stay loyal to this company, as I said they do very good work, but so do a lot of other service shops. United Auto loosen up on your stance, allow your loyal clients whom Are Your Reason For Being to bring in our own hardware if we want too. Even Oil Changes is like pulling teeth without pain killer applied first. I have to wrestle to just get them to use my own Mobile synthetic oil and K&N oil filter.IF you do not mind to pay their expensive uprated pricing for hardware replacement then I recommend United Auto Repair, nut for all their strict stance you can pay the same prices as the dealers service cost.If you want to provide your own hardware to be installed, do not even come to United Auto Repair They will give you a vehement No.
