I’ve had my 1974 VW Beetle for about 5 months now, and I’ve only ever taken it to Tano’s! The job is always well done and done quickly, and prices are always more than reasonable. I’d recommend them to anyone wondering where to take their classic VW.

Took my VW vanagon to him, made a list for him for all my concerns. He kept saying I don’t have enough space to keep the car and finally said it’s all done. When arrived to pick it up, it was raining hard. I tested the signal lights head lights ignition and odometer. None was really in working condition and he had an excuse for every issues and finally said it’s raining hard and I have no space to keep your car inside. Take the van and bring it back another time. He does not know what he’s doing. None of my problems were solved or repaired properly. He does not deserve even the one star.

I was referred by a VW parts dealer and I am sooooo.... happy with the work done on my 71 Beetle at Tano's, Richard is the best! Richard made me aware that my clutch cable was hanging on 3 thread! I have been to several other mechanics and no one ever mentioned that problem, ouch!!!! That was an accident waiting to happen. Thank you again Richard for possibly saving my life by being so thorough. I was reluctant to drive it, but now I have peace of mind knowing it is safe. Because if you, I was be driving it more. So grateful for Tano's! This mechanic is very reliable and saved my Beetle! I've taken my Beetle to him 3 times for transmission service and a partial engine swap. He does quick work and is honest and down to earth! He doesn't overcharge and has fair prices for his work. Unfortunately I am moving out of state, so hopefully I find a mechanic out there as reliable as this one. I would trust him with my car any time! Also, say hi to Peke, the little shop dog.
