The team at the orange store was helpful with good suggestions & ideas. Experience certainly counts. I only downside is that 2 stores 10min & 40 min away closed and I drive 1hr 15min each way. otherwise love the products.

Strait up the GOAT of hardware and lumber stores in this area. No joke I came 2000 miles to buy pen kits and blanks
from them from because I couldn’t get it back home while on vacation, and I like seeing the wood and feeling it before I start a project.

I thought it was a great experience. Mike was very knowledgeable and helpful. I explained to Mike what I was trying to do and he completely understood my needs and anticipated what I was looking for. He obviously has a great deal of experience. I truly enjoyed talking to him.

I have shopped at Rockler for years and never disappointed. They are not always the cheapest for tools but the fact you can get something that day instead of waiting for a delivery is what I really like.

Rockler itself is a cool chain, but the service here needs some work. When it comes to service, it’s usually norm to practice “first come first serve” and common courtesy.
Upon checking out, the phone rings and the attendant, let’s call “Robbie” to not completely throw him under the bus goes ahead and picks it up and continues to chat about whatever that customer also needed and leaving me hanging for minutes instead of politely telling the caller to hold for what was literally a 15-second transaction and get me outta there.
I have projects to finish and not here to spend more time than needed. No apology or a thank you either and leaves his colleague to say “thanks for coming in”instead while I exit. ?

Only bought a remnant piece of wood but the staff treated me as though I had just purchased several thousand dollars worth of tools. Great staff, very knowledgeable and helpful.

Rockler store in Orange, California is nice organized and clean. It is easy to find what you are looking for (as long as it is in stock).
Very polite sales people, that will take the time to help with suggestions of what to buy, and how to use it.
I did like the section of discounted products (returns and clearance) that was closed recently.
Many times I would stop at the store, and might find a discounted product, and buy many more items.
I used to visit the store every 2 weeks (30min drive).
Now I drive to the store about once in 45 days, and only if I need something now, and do not to wait a week for the online order.
I wish that the clearance / discount dept. will be restored.
It will make more sales to the store, and keep it open.

I had a really bad experience with costumer service. I bought a piece of wood, last Sunday and I ask if they can plane it, they said yes but I hade to come back through next day to get it plane. I did came the next day and the person in the front desk said that they don’t do that, I told him that I was told they do plane the slab, that I just hade to come the next day, but the guy just said no, he even spoke to the manager and both said no, it was the way they treated me that got me up set. Not even offering an apology for the mistake like it was my fault. At the end they have just lost a costumer, just for being rude. I hope this Help some one in the future.
