Was really wanting to join this gym. I contacted the owners and was prompted to share my weight lifting experience. I mentioned that Ive been weight lifting for a couple years and I predominately do it to better myself as a triathlete and distance runner but genuinely enjoy lifting heavy. I was told they don't have treadmills - I didn't inquire about treadmills as I don't enjoy running on treadmills. I also mentioned I enjoy kettlebell complexes - they said they only have a few kettlebell weights which was fine with me as I enjoy KBs as a warm up or as a something to do between sets. I was made to feel inadequate by the gym employee I was talking to because I was a female and I wasn't a power lifter. I was genuinely hoping to build a new community here in Orange County as I was moving back to orange after finishing my grad program and finding an amazing strength and weight lifting community in Berkley. I do not recommend this gym if you identify as female because they will look down upon you.

I used to work out in this rec center. Their hardware was extremely perfect and exceptionally coordinated. I expressed gratitude toward the mentor who assisted me with throwing a tantrum body. He shows me the appropriate methods of working out.

My brother sought out a gym that had all of the required amenities as well as a personal trainer. I recommended this gym to him, and he was overjoyed that it met all of his needs.

Lightning in a bottle. Manny has created a fantastic environment for powerlifters, Olympic lifters, and fitness enthusiasts alike. The gym is super clean and the equipment is top notch. He and his staff are all fantastic and I'm glad I've gotten to know them. In short, Manny's managed to create something that is truly special. It's lightning in a bottle.

The equipment used in this gym was properly sanitized and clean for the courtesy of the next users. The staff will remind you of the dos and don'ts in using the tools. Every corner had a poster for the correct usage of all the things inside the gym.

This gym was very near to my house, so I chose to get fit in this place. It was my first time enrolling and having a fitness session in their gym. I got amazed when they had all the equipment needed for different body goals. It was exclusively for women. The coach was very enthusiastic. I had a day with their service.

Orange County Strength Club is powerlifting and strength athlete paradise. Refuge for those who have grit, determination, dedication and willingness to learn and get stronger in the world of powerlifting. This gym has everything a Powerlifter dreams of! This gym has 5 ER racks, countless Texas Squat Bars (55lbs), countless power bars ranging from different brands and quality brands such as Ohio Power Bars (45lbs). The gym has countless speciality bars including Kabuki strength bars, earthquake bars, SSB, SSB earthquake bar, duffalo bar, cambered bars, deadlift bars, and numerous others even a 70lbs squat bar! The gym has a pit shark, dumbbell area, a monolith, power racks, leg press, treadmill, bike, and 4 deadlift platforms. Every ER rack has its own set of competition Kilo plates so you are always in competition mindset. Speaking of mindset, the environment of being amongst all Powerlifters who are all running programs and determined to be stronger has an impact on your own growth. It is motivating walking into a gym of strong men and women who are open and welcoming to those who also seek refuge and powerlifting paradise. The owners Manny and Susan are phenomenal strength athletes who have an abundance of history, experience and dedication to the sport of powerlifting and strength training. They keep this gym maintained and clean. All they ask is respect and dedication from their members who sign up. If you can show respect then you will get it in return. This gym welcomes newcomers to the sport, but please ask how to use the bars and the weights. I'd highly suggest you hire a coach if you're new to the sport of powerlifting, as it fan tremendously help you progress. Overall, this gym has welcoming members and owners! The gym is honestly one of the most equipped, cleanest and nicest powerlifting gyms I've ever trained at. Manny and Susan have such a passion for this sport, and I am blessed to say I am a member of this strength club and will always rep the team across my chest at my powerlifting meets to come! Side note: If you plan to come for a day pass you MUST get in contact of the gym or the gym owners and let them know you're coming and I believe the price is $20 for the day, but if you want to train amongst the strong it is a small price to see the sanctum of a powerlifting temple.

I've been working out since 2010 and been competing in powerlifting since 2013. After my first meet, I was referred to Manny Sanchez and the Orange County Strength Club by USPA president, Steve Denison. I was actually too shy to introduce myself to them during that meet because they were all so strong, but I quickly learned they were gentlemen and would become my mentors during my early years as a novice powerlifter. Manny, Mike Tronske, John Dorsten, Gary, and other OCSC members at the time took me under their wing and welcomed me to the world of powerlifting. They're all veterans of the sport for as long as I've been alive and many continue to contribute to growth of this sport as refs, coaches, etc. I will always be grateful for their guidance, not only in getting my lifts from a first below 1,000 lb total to hitting elite standard squats and deadlifts, but also the life advice they have given me. So not only will you find the best competition equipment at OCSC, you will find yourself in the presence of a growth oriented community. Like Manny said when I first trained with him, there's no ego, we all contribute. Whether you're a first timer like I was or a seasoned record holder, we all share the same iron, we spot and load for each other, we handle each other at meets. I learned discipline and contribution through these guys. Special thank you to Manny Sanchez and everyone whose helped me on my journey. Congratulations on the continued growth of OCSC. I will always speak highly of this special group of men and women I call teammates.

Fantastic powerlifting gym! I have been a member for almost two years. This gym has all of the equipment you need. Calibrated plates, ER racks, monolift, deadlift platforms, tons of specialty bars, belt squat, conditioning equipment, and various machines for bodybuilding type workouts. Even some equipment for strongman training. Even more importantly, the gym culture is extremely welcoming and supportive. Long time members become like family. Most people compete or are training to compete in powerlifting. Members support each other at their powerlifting meets and frequently compete together. Access via key fob is very convenient - available almost 24 hours (not available for a few hours during the middle of the night). Check it out if you are in the area looking for a gym focused on strength training!

The best gym I have ever been to hands down! George brought me there when I was visiting from NJ and the gym was still in Manny's garage. It was awesome and everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere there is unlike any other. When it came to competition time, they took me in as one of their own. Highly recommended!
