Currently they are in a very small temporary facility. Their new facility is under construction and should be great when it's completed . Staff is very helpful

This museum has painting that I would put on the walls of my own house. When I toured, the collection had California scenes, old Disney memorabilia and sports. It was enjoyable to read the information on the art.
NOTE: Now located at THE HILBERT TEMPORARY at 216 E. Chapman in downtown Orange, while the main museum undergoes a spectacular expansion! The Hilbert Museum of California Art at Chapman University is a public museum that focuses on 20th- and 21st-century representational and narrative art by California artists. The museum features constantly changing exhibitions of paintings, drawings and prints by California’s most acclaimed artists, celebrating the history, people and culture of the Golden State. The museum also includes animation art from Walt Disney and other movie studios, as well as works by noted American illustrators, and frequently hosts visiting exhibitions.
