Fletcher has been great for our family. The principal is responsive whenever I email or call with a concern and all of our teachers have been top notch. Our experience has been awesome and I would highly recommend Fletcher without any hesitation whatsoever.

I’m a graduating high school senior and what I have to say about this school is my graduating class hated being a student there. spoke to my fellow classmates about this school we all agreed that everyone hated going there. Everyone had repressed memories and there were several teachers that were cartoonishly evil to their students. My principal was Mrs Barella and then she retired and was replaced by Mrs Lee by either third or fourth grade. Regardless of who ran that school, they never kept the teachers in check. I’m reading through the comments and reviews and I’m glad that it seems things are turning around.

The Fletcher Elementary from three years ago and beyond was a school that did poorly in all categories. But now, it has totally turned around with the newly hired principle, Mrs. Nelson. Being bilingual in English and Spanish, she has been able to communicate her new ideas to the population at large. Her leadership has brought on new programs and much needed improvements to the school. We have the first and only Mandarin Immersion program in the Orange Unified District. The PTA is much stronger compared to past years. We have the only music program in partnership with Chapman University. In 2016, we received Gold Ribbon designation, which is nationally recognized. Enrollment is increasing and test scores are up. Fletcher Elementary is improving every year, and melo roos tax from the near by Riverbend Community is funding many of the structural and technological upgrades.

I have to say that I think the new principal, Ms. Nelson seems to be very competent and is making changes at the school, which is promising. One issue I have with the school is the location. It is in an industrial area and the air quality/smell is terrible. All the time! City of Orange NEEDS to do something about this!

The school historically has not performed well. The new principal, Ms. Nelson, has done an outstanding job turning things around (I.e. updated computer lab, focus on reading initiatives, uniforms, upcoming laptop requirement etc.). You can definitely see she is making strides and improvements are happening. What I really like is you constantly see her around interacting with everyone, a true leader. Our daughter was part of the first mandarin immersion class a few years ago. The program is tough and requires additional homework time for kids on top of the standard homework. This should be expected of any immersion program. The teachers have been wonderful and the students and parents in this program are all education focused. I highly recommend the program.

I never felt so unwelcomed at a school before Fletcher. I wasnt even enrolled yet and was made as didn't matter, that they were my assigned school district for my child. I was very nice and curtious, and was just there inquiring about their school, whereas they met my transportation needs. After calling to speak to the Principal about such a poor introduction of the school. She went out of her way to apologize to me and showed me around the school personally. I was convinced to give it a try. Started out fine but soon was very discouraged when I was hearing some disturbing opinions of the lunches. For one thing $2.50 is $2.50. It really adds up at the end of the week and too the month, especially for what they're getting. (TO ME, Wow!) I mostly make lunch for my child now. They just don't make lunches at schools like they use to. I thought Orange was suppose to be better area, schools, teaching, and everything else I believe one should expect. Boy I sure do miss LA now for sure. Wasn't so bad after all.
