Horrible experience! Please read yelp reviews Had a problem with a brand new clock when I called to ask about it was hung up on. Immediately went to the store for a refund. When confronting the sales clerk about being hung up on she yelled at us that we were rude (not true) no longer customers to leave and never come back. No worries about that. Unbelievable experience grateful to get the refund. Also clock we bought hundreds less on line should have done my homework on this place.

Called today to let them know we had a problem with a purchase from Thursday. Was told that I had a 7 day exchange window. Since they created the problem I asked for more time as next week is Thanksgiving and was hung up on. I then called right back and no answer. Immediately got in the car to drive there for a refund. I would have worked on getting the problem fixed but the person working was crazy rude. My husband confronted her on hanging up on me and she said your wife was rude first ( not true) and you are no longer a customer leave and do not come back. ( Yelling in front of another customer) Who does that? Found the same clocks on line hundreds cheaper ! Obviously we will never recommend this place as we have done in the past .

I took my musical clock to be fixed. It's an almost brand new clock. After 7 weeks I went to pick it up when they said they could not fix it. Irene brought me the clock missing the cover to the battery housing. I asked Irene where the cover is and she became very defensive claiming that the work order they filled out did not say it had a cover. Nonsense. She was aggressively trying to convince me that it had no cover. She sounded like she gave it to someone else and was very rude. Irene is a thief, aggressive and underhanded. Do not do business with her. The back room where they keep customers' clocks is a dirty mess.Just want to add, in spite of stealing the cover to the battery housing, this old nasty Irene brought me a catalog if clocks to purchase another one. Did she think that I would give her a business after she stole from me. I hope this place will soon go out of business due to the lousy, messy, dishonest customer service run by an old crazy woman.

Any clock repairs or purchases we need, we have always found elegance in time extremely helpful. This family owned business has been very appreciated.

I took my Gilbert Mantle clock in to have the face glass replaced. Nothing more. My mom wen to pick up the clock, but the lady said they "couldn't find it." They eventually did, but had removed the pendulum so that it "wouldn't fall off". No idea what else they did to it, but my clock WAS working before they touched it. Now, it doesn't even run anymore. Thanks for nothing, Elegance In Time. I don't know what you clowns did to my clock, but now I have to pay someone else to fix whatever YOU guys did to it. So glad I'm NEVER GOING BACK to your store. And NO, I will NOT bring it back in so you can :fix" it. No way you're touching ANY of my time pieces again. One star, only because I can't give you a minus star. Be wary, folks... this is NOT the place to go...

Not super helpful with the visit for estimate. Came out for a service call making it sound like could perform some work on site. Basically looked at our grandfather clock and said they would need to take it in and that it would be two months. Should have read the reviews first.

Irene is without a doubt the rudest most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. I have been in the store several times and she has been short tempered and rude every time.

After taking the clock back a second time, and them having it another 6 weeks or so after the initial 6 months, and after leaving a bad review, my clock now miraculously works. so after 7.5 months and 295.00, my wind up pendulum clock is running and keeping time. instead of 1 star of give them 3 for finally getting it to work. be weary.

Irene is a lovely, patient, and extremely personable lady. My mom originally stopped by to have a small cuckoo clock repaired. We both then wound up bringing in an additional clock, plus buying a second cuckoo clock, and two Kit-Cat wall clocks. We inherently walked in for a repair and left buying three clocks. Lol. Both repaired clocks were ready for pickup within two weeks. Service was quick and it was wonderful to chat with Irene :)

Decided to ADD to my previous review -- this is NOT an update as far as the 1-star rating is concerned. So a few days after dealing with the testy, nasty owner at this establishment, I decided to try to fix the problem myself. If it didn't work, figured I'd just toss the clock in the trash. BUT -- the whole repair took me about an hour and cost me NOTHING but the "time" (pun intended)! Opened the clock mechanism with a small screwdriver and removed all the gearing (taking photos of everything so I could put them back in the proper order), then noticed that one of the etched contacts on the circuit board from the battery had corroded, almost completely. Found a small flat piece of copper in the garage and cut it to wrap around the board where the old contact used to be, then soldered a small wire from it to where the original contact was connected to the main circuit. Voilá. Replaced the battery and everything worked like new (well, like it did work about 30 years ago!). Reassembled everything and it's back on the shelf, ticking away -- has been for months now. Take THAT, "Elegance in Time!" Your terrible customer service cost you in the end, not me.
