I was told by the dealer that I needed to replace my front control arm on my 2016 Lexus 350ES. I was also told the repair would be expensive so I decided to get a second opinion at Chapman Auto Repair. After they looked at my vehicle I was told that while there was some wear, no replacement was necessary at this time. They said it has a ways to go before it would need to be replaced. Chapman Auto Repair is now my go to shop for any vehicle repairs. Thanks again Joe for taking such good care of me. I will see you when my next vehicle service is due.

I needed a smog check for my 2014 535d BMW. Chapman Auto Repair was one of the businesses I checked with through Yelp. John P., the owner, responded regarding their services. They are a STAR certified smog check station - my registration required STAR. Alex greeted me at the shop, was very helpful, and, when I mentioned Yelp, arranged a discount. The service was great, my car passed, and now I'm able to re-register my car. Thanks Alex and John!

I brought my Denali in for a smog check and it was the quickest, easiest, most friendly and all around wonderful experience. The cost was standard but the way I was treated was a value add in my opinion. The waiting room is so comfortable and clean also.

I've been coming here for a few years and have definitely noticed the drop in quality of customer service since the pandemic. Pre-pandemic, they offered a shuttle service, which was a huge help to me and what was ultimately what made me stick. While their website still states that they offer both a shuttle service and loaners, they do not. I put in a request for appointment online and checked that I would need a shuttle. The response was quick and short and did not state that they couldn't honor a shuttle so I figured I would be OK. That was not so. They simply stated that they could order me an Uber and add it to my invoice. I'm now paying $40 today just to get to work and back to the shop and I'm not OK with that. Especially with the inaccurate information on their website. I get that gas is expensive now and that a shuttle service is just not economical but they need to fix their website if this is no longer a service they're offering. If I wasn't already moving out of state, this would be my last visit here.Edited to add that if it isn't a cost issue then offering to cover Uber cost would be a nice incentive to loyal customers.

Great job overall. Left my car dirty, window and fender had fluids on them. Door handle steering wheel and floor had oil stains.? Mechanical work on point, service timely, just left my car a mess ?

Great and quick service! My engine shield fell off over the weekend and Chapman Auto was the first shop to respond to my inquiry, even over Labor Day weekend. The mechanic was able to salvage the shield and reinstall it with some new clips. Works just like new!Looking forward to coming back!

I decided to find a new mechanic. I chose Chapman Auto repair because they had good attitudes. They answer the phone happy and know how to deal with issues. Alan at the front desk helped me. John at the front desk was also very cool. They quoted the job ..did it on time. They were great. I Recommend them to anyone. Resolution specialists. Honest...fair. I'll be back.

My wife and daughter were out in LA for a softball tournament from out of town and their battery light suddenly turned on. They stopped by this place to check it out. After paying the $71 just to get in line for them to look at it, it turned out to be a bad alternator. To replace it, they wanted to charge $937 for a rebuilt alternator! After calling me to let me know we ended up having them towed by AAA to an auto shop in Costa Mesa (20 minutes away) that charged $350 less. Just crazy that places try to take advantage of people from out of town that they know need the work done. I’d go somewhere else if you’re nearby and from out of town.

I'm so glad that i looked up this place. live around the area and was interested when i saw all the good reviews that they had. My headlights were out for weeks and i was reluctant to go into a repair shop before I did my research coz I didn't want to be overcharged. I got in and Kennyard at the front desk was very helpful and informative. I like that he explains and is genuinely interested in you knowing your options. They also have wifi so you won't be bored while you wait and not to mention a coffee station. Definitely coming back!!

I have a truck that was covered by Toyota care but that expired. Tustin Toyota always takes too long to service. Tried Chapman Auto, had passed by hundreds of times. They were honest about the cost of service and time involved, so far no problem.

Have a 1964 car. Would not do a alignment. Said they didn't have the specs. I told them I could give them the specs. Still said no. Lot of vintage cars in Orange. You'd think they would do it. So I went to a Goodyear Store in Anaheim on Brookhurst St. Said they'd do it no problem. If I gave them the specs. When I got there they said they actually had the specs. They where great and faster than I thought. I am going there from know on. That's customer service.

Returning and Happy customer! I'm as loyal as they come. When I find a business that offers great customer service and quality work, I stick with them! I've had the same mechanic for the past 22 years, I was devastated to find he became ill and was forced to close his business. Over the many years, I traveled from OC over 30 miles for service - because I was loyal and he was worth every mile, plus more. After researching local shops in the Orange County area, I came across Chapman Auto. I am a stickler for reviews and that was my first stop. I always read reviews and outweigh each one before I decide, and I'm happy I made a great choice. In January 2023, I initially took my Lexus RX 300 in for inspection and service. It didn't go as expected the first time because my car was still experiencing the same issue. Shortly after my visit, I received a text message from the owner John to follow up on how my visit was, which I thought was a very personal touch. I explained the situation, and he immediately asked me to bring it back in and made things better. I took my Lexus back the following day and was helped by Alan at the service desk. Alan was friendly, he took the time to listen and understand and kept in communication throughout the time my car was at the shop.After further inspection, the mechanics found the issue and were able to fix it. Alan contacted me to go over pricing and also explained what the issue was, which I appreciate, and could tell by his explanation that he has vast knowledge in this field. Yesterday, 6/22/23, I took my Lexus back for an oil change. Alan helped me out again and also remembered my fur-baby I had with me during my last visit. He kindly greeted me with a smile and said "Where's the dog?!", I was pleasantly shocked that he remembered her. Now that's a personal touch to customer service. Overall this visit was great - he got me in/out in no time and also gave me a coupon for my next return visit. Large or small business customer service is everything! I'm glad I decided to give this shop a chance. I'm always skeptical when it comes to big-ticket service items - pricing and quality. What's important to me is the business offers fair pricing, great, customer, service, and quality workmanship because not only do I look out for myself, but I also look out for my friends and family as I'm big on referrals. Glad I found Chapman Auto, so so far, so good! Ask for Alan!!John, the Owner has been great too! Thank you for your follow-up. Pics: lobby is comfortable and clean. I gave this Automotive Repair Shop 5 Stars!I'll tell you why-When they answer the phone it's always a welcome greeting with the Happiest Place on Earth!I thought DisneyLand was the Happiest Place on Earth, but I realized that they just are being positive about assisting you getting your issue resolved the best way that they can-When you talk to their Service Writers one is (Kennyard; great dude and I believe another one is Alan) the phone or in person, you get a positive vibe that what they say with diagnostic analysis is accurate with what needs to be done!I have to Admit prices are up there! But with the technology advancement with the auto industry, you need professional technicians that can figure out complex problems with these new vehicles. They have that there!I'm a believer in that you get what you pay for-I recommend this place to anyone!
