I love this place so much it was my favorite place to stop by and browse and to chill at the Cafe and work on homework or have a little writing group meet up. Hopefully they reopen soon. The new Tustin one is nice but it doesn't have a cafe or the bare minimum of restrooms like this one did ?

Unfortunate accident, will they ever open again?

This location across from Main Place appears to be temporarily closed at the moment (10/28/23). I heard it was due to a fire. We ended up visiting the new store in Tustin which is very nice! The layout, the new store build and the merchandising has been totally overhauled it seems and it's major improvement. They have an abundant Manga section too!

This has always been one of the best Barnes and Nobles around. We've frequented this location many times every year for at least 15 years. We really hope they open again soon. We can't wait to return! Really nice, helpful staff all around. Beautiful, clean store. And a fun café.

It's a really big store and they have more than just books, they got records and some figures, it's was nice. Now there was a fire so like they ain't got none of that anymore ♀️

I love this store -- was so sad to see it had to close (hopefully only temporarily!!) because of a fire inside in May 2023. Normally I visit this B&N every weekend to scope out the new books and magazines and maybe have a latte and relax in their cafe. I usually always leave having bought a book or magazine or two! The space is beautiful -- two stories of books!!! The staff is always gracious and helpful. (The one complaint I had was that they allowed anyone to camp at the cafe tables to sit, do homework or read for hours, without buying any drinks or food, while patrons who actually bought beverages and cafe food had to wait endlessly for a table. That's not fair; those tables should be for cafe customers only!) Anyway - that's a very small nitpick - this is a GREAT store, and having a bookstore is a real asset to any community. It was reassuring to know it was right down the street - a literary gift to Orange. I am missing it terribly now, and hope they will re-open sometime soon with a lovely refurbished interior. Please!!

This is the nicest B&N I've been to in forever. I usually hit up the one at Bella Terra since it's the closest one... but only when I need to go. As the people who work their are either odd, unprofessional, or unhelpful. This location is a breath of fresh air. The store actually smells of books and pages.. I felt more like I was in a very clean library. I went on a Thursday afternoon and it was nice and quiet and mostly empty. No one greeted me until I got to the register, but no one avoided me either. They have a HUGE Manga section. MUST come back... I got lost in the fiction and adult section for an hour. Found what I came for in their very organized shelves and even left with extra books! The cashier was absolutely lovely and helpful and made the check out process joyful.I didn't have time to try out their Starbucks, but it looked spacious and neat.

I have been to a lot of Barnes and Noble book stores, but this one has a larger selection of Sci-Fi, Fantasy, YA, Mystery, and LGBTQ books than anywhere else so far. The books are on the second floor for those who need to know :)Also, the employees don’t bug you constantly- but let you enjoy your time. They are kind and helpful as well. I feel comfortable around them and can ask any question. There are so many happy people who work at this Barnes and Noble, and happy employees make me feel like I’m shopping at the right place ?

They didn't have the books I wanted. The upstairs was a mess and the escalator was broken. Their sale books were more expensive than my local bigger B&N: nothing less than $8. Not a good day for them.

For me, a trip down memory lane, they got All kinds of old games like clue or monopoly... Mostly some Harry Potter or Game of Thrones themed version of the classics... But still, things like Lite Brite, and of course tons of books... Books ? for days... And tons of things associated with the TV show Friends, for some reason.... They also have a cafe/ Starbucks inside ☕ ? ... Great place to buy gifts ? They got all kinds of little knick knacks like themed calendars, note pads ? , day planners?, plus Novelty items like a mini book on how to read your dog's? mind?? , my fiance got a palm reader kit (porcelain palm ✋ included), and an Etch a Sketch inspired Magic Drawing Board for a sick ? family member who has trouble speaking?... Also aisles and aisles of puzzles. Old style and up to 3d puzzles, squishy and stuffed animals and so much

Went into Barnes & Noble and hadn't been there for years. I was surprised at how many CD's and records were available. You can get exactly what you want online but you can't beat looking through all the music and buying right there as well as browsing and searching. Good magazine selection and lots of interesting books and book subjects. Good toy and novelty type items. Great for gifts as well. Starbucks in this location. Parking is decent and in a shared parking lot with a few restaurants and Party supply store. I will go back to purchase books, toys for my kids and music as well as bring my Dad who will enjoy going through all the music.

I like to find and use alternatives to Amazon. This location has an incredible selection of books, magazines, cards, journals toys and more. Shopping in person is so much better then shopping on line. The staff is always helpful and parking is easy so go by today.

Nice to visit a good old-fashioned brick and mortar bookstore. Book selection is shrinking but acceptable. Selection of merchandise is 50/50 books to accessories/games/music/toys. Overall a good experience.
