I love oddities. They actually have a shop upstairs and downstairs be sure to check them both out. The upstairs shop looks small but packs a lot of unusual and really cool things. I enjoyed my stop here and will visit again when I'm near orange california.

This is my first time visiting the store, and certainly not my last! There are so many interesting things to see. I spent like an hour and purchased a couple things. The owners are super sweet and helpful!

I love this out-of-the-way and very unusual antique store. I found that one record album that I've been looking for and a pair of blue suede bowling shoes, brand new from France. I am in heaven. I will be going back tomorrow to try and visit with the coin shop downstairs owned by the shop owner's husband. Definitely worth taking the time to find this place. Small but fun.

I absolutely love this place! The owner is incredibly nice and I love the variety of things in the store, especially the little closet of vintage cameras and clown figurines. They have vintage tshirts to leather jackets to jeans to 70s flared pants to vintage memorabilia. She also carries a variety of cool knick knacks and art from other small businesses in a separate room of the store. This place is rad and worth a visit!! She also has a few items left from the old beloved Flashbacks store that used to be there. Love this place!

"They thought to use and shame me but I win out by nature, because a true freak cannot be made. A true freak must be born." -Katherine Dunn (from the novel Geek Love) At last a vintage store with a legitimately quirky and odd inventory. This place packed a whole antique market, thrift shop, and curio cabinet into one unit. I do not know whether to attempt to describe the few vintage things this store does not stock or the complete horde of objects that it does. The answer to the question of where one would put everything if they had it is definitely Above Face Oddities. The owner, Melanie, worked wonders with this storefront. Were there crates of records? Yes. Were there racks and racks of band shirts. Oui. What about dope patches and pins. Si. Lunch boxes with chill art on them.? Why not. This does not have original art by lady artists? Turns out it does. But with all that inventory, I doubt Above Face sells Halloween costumes, right? Wrong. This store belongs in the sequel to Ghost World. The kind of store Enid and Rebecca would have opened once they completely quit caring about what anyone else thinks. I could see Ripley's Believe It or Not buying this place out. One could pass most, if not all, of a day just mulling over the sheer merch here. There was even a can of Manic Mallow from The Simpsons. Where else would it be? I could on and on about the jeans, the hats, the pins, the belts, the jewelry, the art, the posters, the make-up, the wigs, the risque framed cartoons, but I will leave some of it up to the imagination. Stay in your lane, normcore folk. This store is for the odd.

This place is unbelievable and has some really cool old items, beautiful jewelry , unique old and new clothing , super cool old paintings, pictured and much more . I highly recommend you to check this place out upstairs and they also own the store below them which has old coins, jewelry , and tons of super cool Knick knacks. The owners Carlos and Melanie are both so sweet also. Don't forget to put this on your To Do list as you will not be disappointed.

I LOVE THIS SHOP!!! Seriously. I've been shopping here since they opened - a seemingly endless supply of vintage clothing and other curios lovely curated every which way you look. Melanie takes her inventory seriously - if you can walk out without finding something you have never seen before (but are glad you've found), I'd be stunned. I make a point to stop by here any time I need an unconventional gift at a wonderful price. Every time I come back, there's something different and exciting. This store is one of my favorites - not only in Orange, but in general. As always, I'll be back.

Such a hidden gem of shop. If you’re looking for vintage clothing or a special, unique one of a kind item this is the place. I always go in looking for one thing and then end up leaving with six. Melanie is super helpful and always bringing in new product so it’s fresh and fun. Incredible service and selection. Support this new local treasure.

Carlos is an Orange native who is traditional old school and has been successful so much that he's expanded his business to appease the kind of clientele that treasures the his inventory as much as he does.
