Updated review: They lost and broke majority of our party's creations... 6 of us were so excited to finally get our pieces back, only to hear more than half were lost and/or broken. They definitely need a better system of organizing pieces, especially if a party of 6 is creating multiple pieces per person. Unfortunately a few people in our group won't receive any of their creations back :( I wouldn't recommend for a group outing and i'm not sure if individual or small group classes will be any better. Extremely disappointing.

Thank you so much Lenny! Our experience at the clay yard was so wholesome and welcoming. We celebrated my girlfriends birthday here with a private class. It was our first time touching clay, and it will definitely not be our last! Lenny was so patient and helpful and made the process so fun and exciting. We made a whopping total of 19 pieces, and we love them all. I definitely recommend checking this spot out!

This place rocks. Parking can be tricky and you need to walk through the junkyard to get there. In order to use the facility, you need to take a class or become a member. There is a waiting list. Call to get on the list.

Had a private birthday party here the other day and we had an amazing time with instructor Pam. Shes a great teacher, we loved her energy and was very patient with us. It most of our first time and we were throughly walked through and assisted throughout the entire event. Excited to see the final product!

I was having such difficulty learning to throw on the wheel and getting frustrated, so took a one on one class with Dan at the Clay Yard. He was an excellent teacher! Step by step he showed me what I was doing wrong, and I finally had that "aha" moment! I still need tons of practice, but, can actually throw a bowl now! Thank you!

Pretty much my all time favorite place at the moment. This industrial warehouse/ yard studio reminds me of my studio as a college student in Boston. The people here are wonderful, warm, open and friendly. I am a novice at working with clay but I am excited to learn!

A cooperative ceramic studio where you pay a monthly fee or single use fee to expand your skills in ceramic and clay art, join a fun and amazing community, and learn more about the art. Facility has kilns that are available for a fee to outsiders and free to fee for members depending on the size and demand. The facility also has very knowledgeable folks onboard as well as high quality tools and potter wheels. As an outsider dropping in to check things out I was greeted very warmly with zero pressure to join. I was able to purchas 2 types of clay here incuding raku.

This wonderful facility is perfect for first-time potters and experienced clay workers. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The class I'm taking with Mary G is easy to follow, and lots of fun. If you've ever wanted to try your hand at making a plate, bowl, cup or sculpture, I highly recommend that you check out the Clay Yard. You can become a member for $100 a month and that gives you access to their glazes and ovens and potter's wheels etc. Or, you can take classes which give you access to all the same things for a limited period of time. Or, you can pay about $40 to have your works put in their ovens, without becoming member. It's a delightful, open facility inhabited by very friendly, helpful people.
