I bought my new truck Monday and Wednesday morning I went to California Camper Shells. They had a Bakflip MX4 folding cover in stock and installed it in about a 1/2 hour. Thanks to Gary and team.

Do not buy an ARE camper shell from here. The quality of the installation of the rear door by the factory on my shell is unacceptable. I sent these pictures to California Camper and was told that it just needed an adjustment. The problem should have been cought before it was installed. I have removed it from my truck and will attempt to sell it.

I lost the key to my Snugtop cover. I called to see if they could make me a new key. A gentleman told me to bring my truck in so they could look at it. When I arrived, the guy behind the counter remembered my call from a week earlier. He came out to look at the lock. After looking at it, he said they would have to drill it out. Then he said that he had a box of old keys in his office. He brought the box out and selected a key, and it worked! The very first key that he picked out of hundreds of keys. He told me that God must really love me! I said yes, he does! I paid the guy and left feeling very blessed.

Excellent service & efficient install. Good people in the office and the installer was working hard to get my install done. Seems to be family-run and it shows.The guys got me in and out of there so quick. Got the cap installed, roof racks installed, and bedrug installed.Definitely will recommend them to my friends.

I have stopped in twice since January to fill out paperwork to get a quote on a new canopy for my Toyota Tacoma & still have not gotten an email, phone call or any communication. I guess they don't want to sell products or treat there customers right.

We contacted them via email to confirm that they were indeed closed the first Saturday of the month. They responded to the email just over an hour after I sent it confirming that yes they were, but if we had any questions they would be happy to answer them via email. I replied with my questions s and they immediately responded with the answers and we decided to go to their location the following Saturday. We were shown different options between shells and tonneau type covers. We decided on a cover now and was provided a quote for a shell if we wanted to do that at a later date. They were able to install the cover right then. Very impressed with the staff. They were knowledgeable and very helpful. Especially appreciated the quick response on the day they were closed. Will definitely go back if we decide we want the shell. Husband was very pleased with the service and that it was a family owned business and that they were very knowledgeable.

They had the campertop in stock and were able to do the install as soon as we needed. I Highly recommend this Business!. Keep calling if unable to reach... they get lots of calls for install. It was worth the drive! Tell Gary hi for me. It was a pleasure doing business with them!

I purchased a foldable bed cover and a Bedrug for my truck recently. Gary and team were experienced, knowledgeable and great to deal with. He took his time explaining the pros and cons of a few different options. The install was done a few days later - in just an hour. Fast forward to yesterday. I had an issue with my tailgate (unrelated to the bed cover) and Gary's crew was able to help problem solve the issue. Excellent customer service going above and beyond! I wish I brought my previous truck to this location.Icing on the cake -- really good lunch spots walkable from this location while they worked on my truck.

I recently purchased a LEER shell. I had a great experience working with them. They were responsive and courteous. Fast service. Very easy to work with. They were very accommodating. Will definitely do business with again!!

Huge selection of hard to find stuff. Price is solid, even labor is very reasonable. They do appointments and non-appointments. Add on something? Done. It seems to be family-owned and operated.

Great selection of camper shells and covers. I came in here on a whim while I was in the area and wasn't expecting to see anything in stock for my truck. Amazingly, they had a couple options for me and educated me on all possibilities, in all different price ranges.I ended up getting a specialty campershell with a lot of different options and it arrived exactly in the quoted time-frame and installed efficiently by their guys. I couldn't be more pleased with how smooth and reasonably priced they are.I'm planning on going back to get my son's truck done there too!

Just bought a Tundra and while I was waiting to complete the purchase, I called up this company to see about getting a shell put on and they had one in stock at a lower price than others that didn't have it in stock!I dropped off the truck and walked down the street to Starbucks and an hour later it was done. Looks amazing and the price was better than expected ... lower than other dealers in the area. These guys treated me right!

I’m not sure if it’s a problem with Google but I’ve come here now a third time at around 4:30 PM to get an estimate on a shell and they’re closed. So either the staff leaves early or Google has it wrong on their closing time of 5pm. I’ll just go somewhere else now. ??♂️.

I typically take my SnugTop back to Alan Sims at Discount Camper where I bought the shell almost 20 years ago. I worked in Long Beach then, although now I live in Upland. My hinge and window bracket had failed and needed replaced, it failed just a few days before a planned camping trip. I searched for local SnugTop dealers and stumbled across California Camper Store that is very close by. I read the reviews and many people recommended asking for Gary. Yes, ask for Gary, he is a miracle worker and has a lovely soul. Not only did Gary and his very knowledgeable tech fix the issue, Gary even rolled up his sleeves and helped his tech to help me between appointments. I am so grateful for you both, you will win any future business I have, and my recommendation to my friends/family/coworkers who may be looking for a cap/cover, etc. I love quality customer service, here I not only received exceptional service, but feel I gained new friends. Such a blessed day. Bonus, I don't even have to cancel my camping trip. Yay!
