Poor quality from start to finish. Other reviews are true- disorganized and hard to find someone to help and when they are found... not helpful at all and reluctant to even try to look for what is needed. I submitted a concern to their customer service and got an lackluster... "will will consider your comments for the future" and still no help with what is needed. I have the sense this company is going under...

Older lady was so rude . Tried to deny me service or help because it was close to closing but I was definitely not the only one in the store . Started yelling at the worker in the front for letting me in . Needs a lesson on customer service. Rolled her eyes at me . Didn’t even want to spend a dollar there after this experience .

Stock is low. Shelves are bare. Employees are sparce. Better to order online and let them find it rather than make the trip and find they don't actually have the item.

Scored some deals on an artificial Xmas tree for 80% off, I paid $60. The tree skirt heart fabric was 50 off ( all decorations is from dollar tree next door) This location has great selections of fabrics for furniture or bedding reupholster projects. I frequent this location 4 times in last 2 months it continues to look disorganized . Service at this location is not always consistent when needing help with questions in the aisle . Good luck finding an employee . When I do after walking around looking for someone, the person usually don't have the willingness to help. Or they just point to the aisle in the direction from a distance.

They have a lot of stuff but not the best help. I waited this morning for ten minutes to get fabric cut while two employees chatted, got coffee, talked on the phone and then messed around with a computer or cash register. They acknowledged I was there but never came to cut the fabric. I finally just left. Also they don't have a functioning bathroom. It all seems a bit run down.

The store was a literal disaster area during our visit, which was a few days after Christmas. I understand things are going to be in chaos after the holiday rush, but most of this location was wiped out and unorganized. I attempted to price check an item and discovered the price check machine was missing and a wire was hanging there. Tried to utilize another device only to find out, that while there was a device, it was not functioning. Not a big deal, but the items on display were not priced and had been tossed into random unpriced piles.

Good people but the area has gone downhill. You can't even use the bathroom. Came last month and restrooms were not available and again with a sign bathrooms are not available again. What about the rest of the elderly who love to shop at this store.

Came here ten minutes before they closed and little miss Sarah stopped us at the door claiming they were already closed and we couldn't come in. I looked at my watch and said we still had time and she kept insisting that we leave because she already had two customers in line. I was completely blown away at the sign of disrespect and attitude from Sarah at the front register. I told her all I needed was one thing and it was for a Halloween costume and would be quick and she said she wouldn't help us if we went inside and got in line. Completely appalled. Honestly feel like she doesn't value her job or the customers. Ridiculous and hope she gets reprimanded for turning away customers and telling guests she will not help them.

Horrible customer service. I purchased an order online to pick up in store. I understand it's a Saturday and stores are busy, however please don't send me an email to let me know my order is ready and when I get there they take 10 minutes to come outside to let me know they lost my order and would take a few minutes. Finally after another 30 minutes of waiting I decide to call the store and ask them if it would be best to return my item and come in store. The employee was rude and said ya if you want to. I asked her why would she not give me that option if I've been waiting for more than half an hour. I attempted to cancel my order but did not have the option to. Finally after an hour an employee comes outside to give me my order and did not even bother apologizing for the long wait. Never again will I do a buy online pick up in store.

Customer service is non existent at this store. I come in the morning and you can't get help. Online inventory is COMPLETELY incorrect and employees are on their phones or act like you're bothering them to all a question. Bathrooms always "broken" but no signs. Good size store but always a mess and empty shelves with aisle blocked.

I waited at the registers for a few minutes thinking "it's okay maybe the cashier is around just putting something back" but then 10 minutes pass, I tried calling the store while in line thinking "maybe they'll come to answer the phone" nope, didn't work no one answered. I heard it ring in a different department and it got transferred to the front. Yeah maybe I could've looked for someone to ask but why am I going to go out of my way when it's their job to be there? I ended up just leaving what I needed to buy and walking out, I could buy it somewhere else where I won't have to wait over 10 minutes for a cashier to show up. Frustrating and annoying experience.

Today, one of the most humiliating things happened to me in this store. Mary Sanchez the store manager working today 9/4/23 at around 3:30 PM at the Ontario location should not be working there or fired immediately. She is unprofessional and rude, she is a liability and could get the store in a lot of legal trouble if she continues discriminating and blindly making accusations. My mother-in-law and I walked over from Ross after purchasing gifts for a baby shower and went to Joannes to get ribbon and tool and a few things. We did not stop at the car first, so I was carrying the bag with my stuff in it from Ross. I would like to point out that nowhere on any of the doors does it state you can’t walk around in the store while carrying other stores bags. While my mother-in-law was waiting in line to have her fabric cut, it was taking much much longer than normal, so I walked around, browsing. I got an extremely uncomfortable feeling and strange look from who I now know is Mary Sanchez the Manager. I began walking over to my mother-in-law who is now being helped by a male employee when MrsSanchez walked behind the counter, where he was helping my mother-in-law, thought it was appropriate to point me out and say, “That woman with the bag is stealing stuff.” Loud enough so everyone in her vicinity could hear and looked in my direction. My mother-in-law realized who she was talking about and highly offended, says, “Are you speaking about my daughter-in-law, because she does not steal.” I was walking up and made it to the cutting counter and at this point I put my bag up on the counter and asked Mrs. Sanchez, Would you like to check and make sure that there is nothing in my bag, because I was highly offended and wanted her to know that I don’t need to steal your overprice junk. I have plenty of money in my wallet, along with debit cards and credit cards. I’m also aware I didn’t need to show her my bag and I’m aware legally she is not allowed to look in my bag, but since I felt everybody at the store was staring at me and assuming I had done something, I wanted to prove to her she was wrong in this one. Miss Sanchez then proceeded to lie to me and my mother-in-law, saying it was not me she was talking about but the woman in front of me (although that woman was not carrying a bag like me, and she specifically said the woman carrying the bag, she apparently thinks we’re stupid, too.) She continued to say she’s extra cautious, because there have been three people in the store stealing that day. I guess that makes it OK to just accuse anyone walking around and looking. Although, I was aware of this because I watched three police officers walk in and take someone and walk out. She lied to my face, she humiliated me and my mother-in-law. She was wrong, and never once said that or apologized. I will be calling tomorrow as well my mother-in-law to speak to a supervisor and I will also be contacting corporate. I completely understand her frustration with the theft going on, but you do not get to just walk around and blindly accuse people of things without a single bit of proof. I would also like to add that had she been an adult woman, pulled me aside and spoke with me, I would’ve completely understood not walking around the store with bags and I would’ve ran and put it in the car or given it to my mother-in-law to hold while she was in line. No., that would be asking for too much of an employee to act professional. I would never usually go this far out of my way, but the way this whole thing was handled poorly. There was no one else in the store I could speak to. She was the only manager on shift. This lady is so jumpy thinking everyone is stealing, Joanne you’re gonna lose way more money than you already are if your employees are going around, treating everybody like their criminals for no reason. I will never shop at your store again or any Joannes for that matter. My mother-in-law also will never give you her business as well. I would stay away from this store if you don’t want to be treated like a criminal.
