Booked Rental weeks ahead, checked in days before. And still the car was unavailable when I got there. For a price hike I could get another vehicle. Completely ridiculous customer service. Go with another agency.

Booked a managers special. They only had an electric vehicle on arrival. To get a gas vehicle I had to pay double the rate I originally thought. It would've been nice knowing that there was a chance that we'd be stuck only with an electric car. When I returned the vehicle I was dinged with paying for a windshield repair fee. When I asked the agent if I could see a picture of the car when it was returned by the previous customer, they said it wasn't available. The whole experience felt predatory to be honest.

My pick up time was 9PM but I arrived at 10PM. Naomi, the representive changed my pick up time to 10PM and return time to 10PM. She didn't have to do it, but she did gave me an extra hour to drive it back from my Las Vegas trip.

The car was not ready—we waited 15 minutes in line and another 15 minutes for it to be ready. The service was friendly, and the cost was very reasonable compared to other companies. Don't forget to get California Toll coverage!

Employee in the counter need to be train, first time using dollar rent car but worst, just to handle one customer take 20 minutes doesn’t have common sense the line is already long, employee take time

Christina at Dollar was beyond helpful and happy to assist me. I will definitely be renting from Dollar again simply based off our interaction. They have great employees and make renting a car less stressful especially if it’s your first time.

Liars! Cheated me by adding fuel charges and I am still fighting for the reimbursement 4 weeks later. I provided the fuel receipt the day of the return and they have yet to respond. Customer service is non-existent, you can't even talk to a person. Absolutely dishonest company. Stay away.

A month ago my car broke down and I didn't know what to do. I rented a car from thrifty car rental, and they were really helpful, I did everything online . went to pick up the car, and I was done just like that. Thanks thrifty car rental

Deceiving Practices. I am senior who was previous deceived by being to pay for prepaid fuel before returning the vehicle I rented on 20 April to 27 April 2024 at Ontario California Airport. Gas prices are cheaper outside the rental company. I was charged $72.00 for a full tank of gas, when $40!actual fill the tank. I returned the vehicle with a full tank of gas. Now I'm out of $70. Wow!!! This is deceptive practices that must stoppwd Respectfully Mr. Keith Smith

Customer service process is terrible.When initially receiving the vehicle, the lady at the front desk seemed to have a weird attitude about having to work. Then proceeded to improperly input the vehicle details (totally wrong yr/make/model), which made things a little more difficult later on when the truck had two tires go flat.Throughout the process of working to get the tire issues resolved, I received conflicting guidance as to how to proceed. It took about two days to fix.After turning the vehicle back in, about a week ago as if writing this, I still haven’t received a receipt. I’ve been trying to call someone at Dollar for over an hour now. Initially I called this Ontario location, and Dave answered. Then Dave transferred to some automated system without saying anything and then it hung up on me. Now, no one will answer.

I booked with Dollar rental for a cheap car but ended up with cheap customer service! To start there was no one outside to check the car in when it was returned. Was told to leave the keys on the dash and the receipt would be emailed to me. When I got the receipt I found that Dollar rental not only charged me for a late return but also changed the daily rate on the rental agreement. Called the customer service number and had the most horrible experience with them. Almost 20 minutes before anyone answered. They admitted the error & said I would get a refund for the overcharge but it would take 5 to 7 business days and they would not give me any type of confirmation that the refund is in process or will be processed at a later date. It's not their policy to print/email refund receipts. When I asked the agent to transfer me to a supervisor it took six or seven asks before she finally put me on hold, the supervisor came on the line and literally repeated everything the customer service agent said to me word for word. I believe they were reading from a script! I spoke with Rafael a customer service mgr. Dollar should get a refund for his salary!! He spent the next 5 minutes wasting time because he is totally ineffective. He did absolutely nothing but repeat the same lines over & over. At one point I don't think he was listening...just waiting for a pause so he could say 'I understand'. I will NEVER rent from or recommend Dollar Car Rental again. Buyer beware because get what you pay for. Cheap car rental=cheap service!!
