7.11.24 @ 2354 EDIT: I received the public response below and emailed the information as requested. I have not heard anything back and have received no confirmation of my email.
Arrived at the counter with my reservation and was advised since I had made the reservation that morning they were not able to rent a car to me. This happened to the two people ahead of me and one more group who came in after me. No explanation except that “their manager told them they could not rent to anyone who had reserved less than 24 hours out”. They have no apology, no other recommendation, just goodbye we can’t rent to anyone who reserved same day. Thank goodness for Dollar who was happy to take my business.

Stupid policy, you can’t rent a car without credit card ?.
I f I take vacation or I travel because I have money to do it.
If i don’t have money, I stay home ? easy.

Terrible service. I made my reservation and had to buy insurance and the day of my arrival at 11pm they simply told me that they were overbooked. The person who helped me had a terrible ego.

Really amazing customer service, friendliness, and car quality. I was served by the best and friendliest person ever in the car rental business, Clarissa was so professional and polite. And the car is perfect and brand new. Very happy with my experience and I'm definitely renting from them again without any hesitation.

We got in late last night after a 6 hour delayed flight. We were tired and hungry. Mohammed took great care of us. He got all of our paperwork done and then brought our car to us! Thank you Mohammed for being the bright spot in a not so good travel day!!

We booked several cars through Alamo during our trip to the USA. Everyone gave us a friendly welcome and good service, except for this station in Ontario. The employee was arrogant and unfriendly. The car was dirty, sticky inside and there were still nuts from the previous car scattered around. The windshield washer fluid was also almost empty. 2 stars because we could choose between two cars and the car itself is good. If this had been our only experience with Alamo, we would not book through them again. What a shame!

Terrible experience! The two people at the desk (Male and Female 4/23/2024)made no effort to fix the problem
They basically didn’t have the car that I reserved (Mustang convertible or similar) they said they didn’t have it and they offered me an Audi Q7 (huge SUV) I explained that for this trip I don’t need an SUV I need the complete opposite a sport car
They said the guy who was supposed to return the mustang called them yesterday and said he will extend his rental (they didn’t even bother to contact me and give me heads up to arrange something different)
They said we can give you the SUV or we have to cancel your reservation
They made it sound as if it’s not their problem or responsibility
I asked if they can arrange for me to rent a car from one of the other companies
(There were more than 5 cars of Mustangs and Camaros out in the lot)
They said feel free to talk to them (so I had to find a car on the spot with whatever price the other company dictates) and they said they can’t offer and compensation for the price difference
Very unprofessional and apparently they didn’t care for the name or reputation of their company!!
I told them I had nothing but good experience with Alamo in the past (palm springs, Texas and Utah)
And that’s why I choose them specifically
They didn’t care that they are trashing their reputation
The lady was excited to give me a card with an email to file a complaint

Rekisha was truly exceptional. Despite my numerous errors in the booking I made through costcotravel, ranging from incorrect dates and times to the wrong vehicle class, Rekisha handled everything with ease. She personally ensured that the vehicle was prepared for our reservation, making the entire process seamless. Throughout our interaction, she was not only courteous and kind but also engaging, sharing laughs with us.
However, upon leaving the lot, we realized that the initially chosen car wasn't suitable for our needs. Within 15 minutes, we returned to exchange it for another vehicle, and once again, Rekisha's brilliance shone through. She worked diligently to ensure we weren't overpaying and that we were completely satisfied with the replacement car before we departed. Her attention to detail was remarkable, even allowing us time to test the new vehicle to ensure it met our requirements.
Reflecting on the experience, I can't help but wish that every encounter where assistance is needed could be handled by someone like Rekisha. She exudes warmth, friendliness, and professionalism, making collaboration a pleasure. Her dedication to her work and genuine care for people are truly commendable.
I extend my sincere appreciation and commendation to Alamo for employing such an outstanding individual to assist customers. Rekisha's solution-oriented approach and commitment to providing a level of service that felt like white-glove treatment exceeded all expectations. Thank you, Rekisha, for going above and beyond.
