We had the most delightful experience at Double Diamond Jewelry shop recently during Spring Break. We wanted to treat our kiddos to something memorable from our family trip and we were able to find something perfectly priced for each of them. The staff was so helpful and patient with the kids as they took FOREVER to decide what they each wanted. The quality of the jewelry at Double Diamond Jewelry is awesome. I highly recommend working with Janet and her team on acquiring beautiful jewelry. I purchased a Lake Tahoe shaped opal surrounded by blue diamonds on a rose gold adjustable chain, and it is exquisite. Janet was easy to work with, and the shopping experience was fun! Thanks again for the beautiful memories!

I committed to having a pair of earrings made and right afterwards there was a death in my immediate family and my heart was not into the purchase. I asked if I could cancel the order and I was told that the stones had already been shipped and it was too late to cancel the order. Janet promised to try to sell the earring for me and kept them for an entire ski season without success. The earrings were shipped to me and have sat in a drawer. I recently went to sell them and they were appraised for 25-28% of what I purchased them for by two independent appraisers. The workmanship was nice but the quality of the stones was mediocre. I even reached out to Janet to see if she would just keep them in the store and sell them whenever but she never returned my message. It was not a pleasant experience.

My fiancé was in a rut when we landed in Reno on the way to Lake Tahoe and be he realized that my “to be” engagement ring was missing a few things and the center diamond loose. He called Double Diamond Jewelry in a panic and explained what had happened. They were so helpful and went out of their way to make sure he got what he needed. He was able to keep the center stone he had but get a beautiful new setting. It couldn’t be more perfect! I love my engagement ring!I found this all out after the fact of course. I am so thankful y’all were able to help Emilio out and be a huge part of our special day. I can’t thank you all enough!

Stopped into the shop at the Squaw Valley Resort. The owners were very pleasant to chat with. Great jewelry selection, my boyfriend left with these bracelets and loves them. Great quality and unique design. Highly recommend.

I believe the jewelry here is priced much higher than it is actually worth. Here's why: I bought an engagement and a wedding ring here without doing a great deal of shopping around or learning how to price diamonds. Unfortunately, my marriage lasted a month. So I only wore the rings for 30 days. When we split up, I went to a store near my home to try to sell the rings (we had a destination wedding in Tahoe near the store). The owner of the shop I went to told me he was sorry that I got taken but the rings were worth nowhere near what I had paid. So I contacted Janet, the owner whom I'd bought the rings from, and asked her for help. I'd spent $3500 on rings I'd worn for one month. She agreed to sell the rings on consignment, and, if she couldn't do that, to pay me "wholesale" price for them. After a year had passed and she was unable to sell the rings, I asked her for the wholesale price. After several months of going back-and-forth she agreed to pay me half of what I paid her. Then she disappeared. She stopped returning my phone calls or answering the phone when I called. It's been two years since I gave her back the rings, and about 6 months since she promised to pay me half the money for them, and I've got nothing. She's got the rings and my $3500. I realize that this specific situation won't happen to other people (hopefully) but I think you should be very careful before you deal with Janet or buy any of her products, given that it is likely that she sells extremely overpriced jewelry and that it is certain she is ethically bankrupt. I hope that she sees this review and pays me what she owes me but at this point I'm not holding my breath.

I haven't taken my beautiful snowflake necklace off since my boyfriend surprised me with it a little under two years ago. It matches the bigger ones tattooed down my left rib cage, and it was the one special thing I had looked at many times through the window at The Resort at Squaw Creek's Double Diamond Jewelry store. I love it so much and adore this store (and the resort!)

I have bought many pieces of jewelry from the owner, Janet Brady. The pieces I have are very unusual and unique. I receive compliments all of the time. It's jewelry you don't see everywhere. She is very customer oriented. When I need something, she is on top of it as well as her staff. I definitely recommend her store and always visit when I am in Lake Tahoe.

You've got to see the unique, gorgeous and versatile jewelry from all over the world. Janet Brady has been in business here for 20 years and is a diamond broker. She helped me design and make my wedding ring and services it twice a year to make sure the diamonds are secure and the ring is polished. I live in Reno and Janet has driven many times to Reno to help me choose a diamond and design my ring plus picks up my jewelry to be serviced and cleaned. She is the best. She can customize anything. Like a ring to look like your pet), diamond pendants that look like your powder turns skiing (from your photo), Lake Tahoe necklaces in diamonds and other precious stones. She sells jewelry from all over the world that is so beautiful you'll want too many things. So if you need to buy your someone special something truly amazing then I would work with Janet and design something or buy something that's truly amazing.
