What a beautiful spot! We were so close hiking and beaches, and town too. The restaurant that is part of the hotel was quite good too. We loved the cornhole game and fire pit area. The room was quite pleasant and had a sweet balcony, great WiFi, beds etc. only real issue was steep stairs in the room itself- if older or you have physical limitations ask for a regular room with no steps. Otherwise all good- wine and coffee included:)

Great place to stay! The grounds of this hotel are stunning and we even watched a doe grazing in the yard for awhile. The inside is beautifully crafted and decorated! The front desk regardless of who was staffing it was incredibly helpful! I specifically wanted to thank/shout out Melody; she was very sweet and helpful when I needed something to do for the day. She explained things very well and helped me find a good activity to do before leaving. I wouldn’t have known about the shipwreck or gone to see it without her! The rooms were very cozy and comfortable and I loved the decor! I only had tow issues with my entire stay those being the TV and the bed/pillow (which is personal preference). The tv didn’t work very well and was somewhat hard to figure out but who really needs tv in a place like this! The bed was too hard and the pillow was too soft so I had a somewhat poor night of sleep but this is entirely preference; this may be perfect for someone else! Overall a wonderful experience all around!
Rooms: Very cozy and nice looking, see review for more details.
Nearby activities: Plenty to do in town and the front desk has a pamphlet that has plenty of options as well!
Safety: Very safe area to walk around
Walkability: Very walkable area!
Food & drinks: Cafe and bar/restaurant next door are incredible
Noteworthy details: The views and styling of the hotel are wonderful.

Cute hotel but it’s right on a busy road. Rooms are small but The grounds are nice. I wouldn’t stay again based on the price. The hotel is expensive for what you’re getting, plus California taxes, plus another destination fee of $35 plus an additional “room charge” of $40. Just charge one fee and not tack on ridiculous charges.

No recommendation! Very expensive and the quality wasn't good enough for me. Sorry

We spent a lovely night in room 16 on the top floor with a balcony. Olema house exceeded my expectations. The bed was very comfortable, The bottle of wine and unusual trail mix were a nice touch. And, surprisingly with the fan on, the room was quiet (and I am super sensitive). The toilet is in its own room, but the sink and tub space is pretty tight, but nicely looking. The back outdoor space is charming & relaxing. I would not recommend the Due West restaurant.

We came up from the peninsula for a relaxing getaway, we were hoping for a quiet retreat but we probably should have done more research. This lodge style motel is located directly on the highway and it is anything but quiet due to the car/motorcycle noise, single pane windows and second floor stomping.
There are also no TV's or bathtubs in some rooms, but it's not clear on the website which rooms have what. We were disappointed ours didn't have either.
There wasn't really any service: no room service, no garden service, no valet, no drink service, no one serving anything. The coffee and breakfast in the morning was self-serve. The one person at the front desk was nice.
The accommodations were modern and clean, bed was very very soft, gardens were pretty.
Everything was "nice to look at" but that was it.
Rooms: Rooms are tiny, not all have TV's, some have steps in them, windows and doors are not sound proof.

Heads up that there is no AC in the building, which is probably fine most of the time but does get tricky when the weather doesn't cooperate! Beautiful gardens and set up. We were in a creekside room, which opens to the gardens, but the creek is quite far away. The mattresses are very soft and squishy, which could be a pro (but for me was a con). This was probably only a concern with the holiday weekend we were there, but parking was very limited.

Nice boutique hotel in the heart of Point Reyes. We stayed for two nights during the Independence Day weekend and absolutely loved it. The grounds are stunning with a small creek in the background and many places to sit and enjoy the ambiance. The room (we were in 11) was a decent size, and was very comfortable. Dogs are allowed, so bring fido along.

Beautiful place to stay right at the main intersection in town. They have a nice backyard garden w a creek, plus an evening fireside. The staff was very nice and helpful. The restaurant is pretty darn good too. Their nightly fee does *not* include a 35$ amenities fee.

After many attempts at scoring a reservation at Olema House, we got one and this resort does not disappoint! The photos I took say it all. Every detail and every thing here has a purpose. Whether it's serenity, beauty, quiet, good food, good wine, good sleep, good service -- it's all here.
We came to rest on our way back from the Redwood Forest, and after staying in rural California, which is rustic and hard, we needed luxury, relaxation and comfort. Olema House in remarkable Point Reyes has it all.

We came up from SF and were intrigued to try out Olema House and splurge a little.
Well. This place is overpriced because of its proximity to beautiful and quaint California surroundings but don't expect too much in terms of the room. We had a Mountain View King and although there's a gorgeous view out the bay windows the room is small. There's no closet space or desk. The fireplace is not working, although they provide candles to make up for it -- we were misled to believe the fireplace was operational, or perhaps we should have asked more specifically about it. The bed and pillow are fabulous, but the TV was weirdly small for the size of the wall -- we didn't mind too much because we had work to do catching up on Cowboy Carter. TVs are so inexpensive now, though, so I'm always surprised a hotel doesn't shell out for it.
This place isn't very quiet. It's right on the road so there is pretty constant car noise throughout the day. The room door and window facing the street are not sound proofed so be prepared to hear cars. Room to room noise seems fine, although you can hear house cleaning personnel banging around as is typical in hotels.
I wouldn't stay here again because of the exorbitant "luxury" cost for what are only modest accommodations. You'd think at $500+/night the design of the rooms and the common space in the hotel would be much nicer. The "game room" and coffee/tea lounge areas are small and feel only a few steps above a car dealership waiting room area. Why would you put a TV next to a fireplace? The hotel is more oriented for the outside round circling a firepit and seating next to the stream. Also keep in mind if it's rainy you may feel a little claustrophobic in your room. Just be warned.
I can be harsh I know. But it's expensive! Let me say the staff was phenomenally friendly and attentive and the place was clean and well stocked. The lawn in back of the property by the stream is also quite scenic.

Charming hotel by a creek. Very dog friendly. Close to many nearby trails and driving distance to point reyes
