“This is a library bookstore (books are donated). It's small but always fun to hang out and see if you can find a gem or two. They sell books, cds, dvds, and some photographs on the wall. The prices range from $1.00 (for fiction paperbacks - lots of them in their backroom) to generally $3.00 (though some are more $ if they're vintage or special in some way). I've even seen some "The Great Courses" audio and video series (at great prices). The volunteers have been overall nice. The air conditioning is priceless when temps in Ojai reach into the 90's and more (not relevant, but chilling out and looking at books can be a treat, especially after a hike!). Worth a look if you're in town. It's close to the Ojai colonade where all the shops are.”
“Beautiful place to visit. I first learned about comparative religion here as a kid, and it blew my mind! I love the gardens, the library, and walking here from the Ojai Meadows Preserve.”

“I have been visiting the Krotona Library and Bookshop for many years, and I hope to be able to continue enjoying the natural beauty that surrounds them and the peace there that feels like natural meditation. To dig into ancient wisdom and relevant modern studies, explore the library and the bookshop and let the books call to you. They come alive when you read and study them, but they seem to me to have a magical power of calling my attention to them. When I am ready and sensitive to my inner needs, the library and bookstore generously feast my heart, mind, soul, and body, and I am deeply grateful.”
