The museum features outdoor exhibitions and engages guests with educational activities, making it a great stop for families. The friendly and knowledgeable staff provide excellent service, enhancing the experience with insights into desert life. While the museum offers valuable information about the region's history and ecology, visitors also note challenges with light pollution affecting stargazing in the area. Overall, the museum invites guests to explore and learn about the rich history of the desert, making it a unique destination for locals and tourists alike.
Excellent smaller museum about the Imperial Valley , especially native cultures. Current exhibit about Salvation Mtn. Nice walk outside about desert animals and plants. Older folks should use care when taking the walk, as some places are a little washed out and uneven, but worth the time and care.
