My mind screamed in horror as the anxiety knife shoved itself in and out with each item that was rung up. I feared... I feared for my wallet. It's such a sweet soul. It doesn't deserve to take the brunt of my hunger. My wants. My desires. IT'S JUST A LITTLE GUY WHO WANTS TO SWING ON THE SWINGS! But when the last item rung up, and the total beeped its horrid beep, I gazed upon its display and felt relief. My wallet would know peace this day bc WinCo has amazing prices. There there, little guy.

Great variety and prices. Only drawback is that you have to use a debit card.

My daughter and I went today at 9:30 and Lori D was our cashier. She was so so kind and made sure we felt welcomed. Hands down the best experience I’ve had at a grocery store

The cashier tonight Oct 2, was extremely rude and unprofessional. She was staring at the clock, the back door, anything but the humans in front of her...when her coworkers came out said, "so and so ignored my call, didn't you guys hear me?" I joked around about her being abandoned, nothing from her, no people skills. None of your customers need to hear that. She did not acknowledge any guests before me, nor thank anyone at all. She was extremely slow. Ok. You have a long line and you are alone. No problem, move faster. I would have almost had a heart attack if I heard my employees talking or acting this way. I work retail, this person should not be the face of your company. It was appalling.

They don't answer their phone, and they run out of chicken in the deli early in the day. Terrible!

The store and employees are great.
The one star for the Winco brand Mozzarella string cheese.
I made that viral TikTok crockpot manicotti. Came home to unmelted rubber type browned mozzarella sticks.
Makes me wonder what is exactly in their cheese. This is the only bad experience with the store so far.
This ruined the whole dish!
1st picture with the pasta sauce and 2nd photo is of the mozzarella sticks rinsed off.

It has come to my attention that there are significant concerns regarding the work environment at our organization. Many employees feel undervalued and mistreated, which has created a challenging atmosphere.
For example, there was an incident involving an employee who faced racial slurs from a customer. Unfortunately, the company's response prioritized customer satisfaction over the well-being of the employee, culminating in a gift card being issued to the customer rather than appropriate support for the employee.
Additionally, there have been troubling reports regarding the treatment of older employees. In one case, an employee experienced such extreme distress that it ultimately led to a tragic outcome. Reports suggest that employees have faced pressure to avoid seeking necessary medical attention, with threats of penalties for doing so.
There have also been instances where employees dealing with severe medical issues were denied the opportunity to seek urgent treatment due to staffing shortages. For example, one employee experiencing serious pain was unable to leave, and another who required food and insulin for their diabetes was visibly unwell yet was not permitted to attend to their health needs.
These practices raise important questions about the organization's commitment to employee welfare and what this means for the experience of long-term customers.
I find this situation deeply concerning and disappointing. It is worth noting that while employees may hold stock in the company, it does not equate to being employee-owned in the truest sense.
( same as San marcos, shame on you for mistreating people!!!)
