Good service

It is not the branch. It is the bank itself: an impersonal facade that doesn't even respond well to it's own customer service people! Will close and go ASAP. The horror stories are all coming ver the internet. Wish I had read about them.

Lisa the branch manager forgot to give me my change for one of my deposits which was supposed to be $46.11. My mistake for not checking right then & there but just writing a review so tellers are more vigilant cause she almost forgot to give me my change on my last deposit before leaving as well. She said anything else i can help you with? & i said yea my change please. This happened on 6/20/23 at 1:54 pm. One time at this branch one of the tellers made one of my deposits into the wrong account as well so just want the tellers to be more careful with deposits thank you.

I want to start by saying that nearly all my prior visits to WF (this one in particular) have been relatively pleasant. My monthly visit is usually on a Saturday and this branch closing @ 2PM usually makes for longer than ideal wait times, but the tellers usually process my transaction in less than 5 mins; nonetheless, this location being down the street from my home is a blessing after a long work week. This review is not to deter customers from this location, but to bring awareness to management. Per usual, I went in today, Saturday, 03/04/2023, to deposit my rent checks into my landlord’s account. My household consists of my widowed mother and myself, so we split the rent - I pay the larger half (I bank with SchoolsFirst) and my mom the lesser (NavyFed). The teller points out that my checks are post dated for the 5th - he asks another teller who proceeds to tell me that this was not permitted and not just at this location. I know this to be false because I’ve visited several locations in San Diego and last I checked there was nothing inherently illegal about this (Just FYI - My rent is due every 5th, so I do this more so for my records). The assisting teller immediately tries to send me on my way after waiting about 15 mins in line, but I NEED to pay my rent, so I request my checks back to correct and initial them for today’s date. Luckily my mom is there with me, because they are cross-referencing our ID’s verifying the information on our checks. Working with the DoD especially, I’m trying to be understanding of these guys just doing their jobs, but the skepticism and contradiction of their own rules has me frustrated and feeling like I’m being treated like a criminal at this point. Finally, my checks are deemed acceptable. The teller has me verify my deposit total on the screen, which ends up being $50 off……..I pulled out my phone to add it on calculator in front of him, but ended up just cancelling my deposit altogether because now I don’t trust this teller to handle this transaction for me. I will deposit my rent at another branch on Monday during my lunch hour, but hope this isn’t an issue going forward.

I personally had a horrible experience at Wells Fargo. I wasted a lot of time jumping through hoops. Incompetent at best, deceitful and shameless at worst. My experiences were in reference to a power of attorney and a trust fund. I will NEVER do business at WF again. This is about WF's company policies and procedures not necessaryily thhis branch (only go to a satellite branch if you're looking for basic banking, go to a larger established branch that has more experienced bankers to handle investments, etc). I understand why WF has such a horrible reputation and is constantly being sued (mortgage issues in Baltimore, blatantly charging fees, opening up fake accounts for individuals.. the list goes on all you have to do is Google it). One of the worst banks in the world.

Disgusting experience at this Oceanside branch. Unprofessional, Appalling + Insensitive. My Mother recently passed away. Prior to her passing (even having legal power of attorney), Wells Fargo has been offering excuses for transferring her Money to us (by legal family trust). And now that she has passed, we provided both her death certificate + legal Trust documentation. Not only have we spent 2 days + 7 hours at this branch location in order to have access to the Trust account, but the manager (Lisa) "giggled" after I mentioned to her that we've spent 7 hours with this ordeal. Her exact words were, "you should have a job here." No sympathy, no apologies- just a laugh. And this matter is still unresolved. I've heard disaster stories of Wells Fargo + now can attest that this corporation has "no shame" in dealing with funds of a dead person + its managers have also shown a lack of respect for humanity + its customers. We'll be doing business with another bank as soon as we're granted access to our Family account. It's obvious Wells Fargo is squeezing every second and penny in order to hold on to my Mother's money, in which they've invested. It's not your money!

I highly recommend getting rid of your phone number. No one answers. I've called at least 20 times today.

Gabby is amazing and so helpful!! She was under a lot of pressure for a very busy Saturday but she kept her cool and her promise to call me Monday when she had an answer for me and I appreciate her work ethic especially when other customers waiting in line were not as patient. I understand that there is a shortage of workers right now so if you see a long line or are waiting a little longer for your food or any other service, be patient! These wonderful people deserve your appreciation for coming to work for YOU! You have choices.. You have a cell phone, play a game or answer some emails or come back later or earlier the next day. Our cellphones literally tells us when the busiest times are to patron any establishment.

The bank had a line around the building. I had to wait 40 minutes before I was helped. Two people working in the bank. The manager told me I could use the outside telling machine if I wanted faster service. I made a formal complaint by phone. Nobody ever followed up with my complaint. Terrible service, terrible management. Terrible bank. I am extremely disappointed in the bank.

Wells Fargo is the Worst! Go across the parking lot to SD credit union. They charged me an overdraft charge for 35.00 - no reason (seriously no reason). So I called - it took me 4 calls able about an hour all together - the worst phone service!! They finally returned the 35.00 charge - after I threatened to leave the bank! I'm going to another BANK - Don't use them - they'll rip you off!!
