Open until 11pm but customer service closes at 8pm so you can't make returns while they're open. Is that just this store or are all Walmarts like this?

on October 5, 2023, I purchased some Apple gift cards, Walmart store on Marron Road in Oceanside. On October 24 I went to use these cards that I purchased and were told they were invalid through my Apple ID. I tried several times to scan them and noticed the numbers appeared odd. I then realized that two of the numbers on the code had been removed. Therefore, the card was altered by some of the various individuals. I spoke to Apple, and they encourage me to go see the management at Walmart, and explain the circumstances I will say I bought the cards in good faith for the face value of the apple cards. I was then told by the acting manager that it was not their responsibility without mincing words. She basically told me even if I bought them in good faith, it is their policy that they aren't going to do anything to reimburse my money or basically catch a nefarious person who altered the cards. she said it was their store policy. She did make me copies of my receipt. again stating it's not Walmart's responsibility to honor the gift card even if they took the money for the purchase of them. It is the responsibility of Apple or the third-party supplier. Without continuing to tell my story I would say do not buy any gift cards from Walmart for they do not honor if the card has been altered, damaged or destroyed or a criminal has taken the card and pre-used it put it back up for sale. although it was very suspicious how the clerk scanned the card They basically told me to go pound sand I did find out after calling Walmart corporate that the person it was only the day manager and not the actual manager. I do plan to go and speak with the actual manager. In the interim I am working with Apple to discover the source of the fraudulent and altered gift cards. I WOULD BE VERY CONCERNED ABOUT BUYING A GIFT CARD THAT IS BEING SOLD AT WALMART.

This walmart has gotten so ridiculous. The self checkout now has a employee at every checkout register scanning your items. They basically think every customer is stealing so i guess the whole checking your receipts when your leaving didn't work. Now they've slowed down the self checkout which isnt really a self checkout anymore. They have made it a inconvenience shopping here. If this keeps up i will just go shop elsewhere,

Further exploiting my disappointment with this store. On the phone again trying to sort out a return. After half a dozen calls, a dozen hang ups and zero interaction with an issue I've now exclusively dedicated my time to trying to speak to a manager. Yet no luck. I'm out I'm done and fed up with this store.I welcome Walmart to contact me. Happy to discuss.

The Walmart at 3405 Marron Rd Oceanside, CA consistently has shopping carts all over the parking lot making half of the parkings spaces unusable. Tonight I bought some 5w-20 mobile one full synthetic oil & after I got home I realized that the seal was broken and half of it was used.

took our mom here to go shopping and have a nice time with her daughters. Joyce was the attendant at the fitting rooms and treated my mom like a criminal when she stood outside of the fitting room (because she was holding my toddlers hand and he was walking toward us) she was still INSIDE the fitting room hall area and Joyce acted like she was trying to steal or leave wearing the clothes. my moms stuff was still in the room and we had a cart full of items to still try on. Once I explained, Joyce proceeded to stare directly into my mothers changing room and watched us again as if we are criminals. I asked if I could help her and she said she was simply doing her job, to which I said Oh you're supposed to look directly into changing rooms?! I don't understand why a sweet outting for my mom and her daughters/ grand son just became an uncomfortable hostile situation. if I were 90 and still working at Walmart I would probably be a bitter woman too, but Jesus Christ Joyce.

Not bad for a Walmart. Most items are in store. I was visiting for two months so this Walmart was the one closes to the the house. Shopped about five times. The one thing I noticed was that when I needed help there was one young man that always seem to be there to help. I swear he must sleep there. His attitude was cheerful and he was always wiling to help me find my items. I wish I could remember his name but he did say he always wanted to visit NC. The experience for this place was about the same each time. The biggest complaint would be trying to find a parking place. The next complaint was no stock in the nail, makeup, hairspray area and items not marked. Food was usually on hand with no problems even though eggs were $8 a dozen but not their fault. (Visit Dec2022/Jan/Feb 2023)

The customer service in the Bakery Dept was by far unprofessional.I had ordered 2 full size sheet cakes, the orders were cancelled 3 days prior to the pickup date. I was notified via email with no explanation. No one answers the phone (why have one) so I went into the store and was told my orders were cancelled bc they didn’t have the ingredients. You can’t make this stuff up!

Used to love this Walmart. For the past 6 years, family and I stay at a resort in Carlsbad and we would love to come to this Walmart and stock up. Even during COVID we would stock up on items for vacation. This year we had multiple horrible experiences. 1 st day of arriving we arrived to this Walmart and shelves were emptied and we waited more than 15 minutes by the alcohol aisle. (Never got anything , after all) Since you have to push a button to get help. 2nd trip to this Walmart, lines were long with two lanes open and the self check out line was going through produce area. 3rd trip yesterday 09/11. We tried again, the alcohol aisle and pushed the button. Nothing!!! Please know, they say they have other options near #8 cashier. They didn't have what we wanted. So again we waited and we even tried calling the Walmart and pressed 0 for a representative.... Rang and rang and rang. This time around I actually decided to start a timer to see how long it would take. Even after 25 mins.... Nothing. Father in law also dealt with a rude Walmart worker on her cell phone near the deodorant aisle. We will no longer come back here. We completely understand if you have a shortage of employees. But when you see multiple workers walking by and in groups or on there phones. It's ridiculous.

After having groceries delivered for over a year it was so exciting to go into an actual grocery store! My husband and I are fully vaccinated and felt mote comfortable venturing back in the real world. So much to buy as far as the eye can see! It was almost too overwhelming walking up and down the aisles, throwing all kinds of items in the cart: pork shoulder roast, quiche, froot loop jumbo snax, bbq chips, bananas, tamales, guacamole, Franks red hot, wings, Rolos... we were out of control! We ended up with tons of impulse purchases but it was so fun to be out of the house. The staff here is very helpful in navigating the store and all our fellow customers were very respectful of social distancing and wearing masks.
