I have never in all my years of dealing with different banks, been at mercy of such incompetence, as I am experiencing from the Oceanside branch, of "US Bank" on Old Grove Rd. I went in there on Monday to deposit into my checking account, a 500. dollar check from my mother. The bank manager Cassandra "helped" me. But instead she deposited the check back into my moms account. After a couple of days we discovered the error. This could have easily been corrected with another check from my mother, but instead Cassandra filed some sort of request to review the error (which it is clear she is trying to hide). Now its Saturday and Cassandra has left the issue to Juan. He said it is now being processed so anything else we do will complicate the process, and result in a double deposit. He says I have to wait until Wednesday now! I can't spend money until this is resolved or I will over draw my account! This is Cassandra's (the branch manager) mistake and she never even took responsibility (or apologized) for it, instead she is passing the buck to Juan. Juan apologized for the bank while NOT acknowledging Cassandras guilt. He then told me "She would do the same thing for me!". So basically THEY COVER UP FOR EACH OTHERS MISTAKES AND DON"T CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO THEIR CUSTOMERS! I am so disgusted by US Bank and now have lost all confidence in this bank to protect my funds. Something very wrong is going on there!

US Bank - (Nice TV Commercial) - BUT - 1st Clue - Be Buzzed through the security doors into the Lobby (Like Fort Knox) - Because US Bank knew i HAD PAID OFF MY CAR few years ago (Which was Good - i guess (??)) and i TRY and Open a checking account last week - (My Credit Score is approaching Mid- 700's)- (but Good Credit Score is not considered) ... Because U.S. Bank use ChexSystems ==> and Nov. 2021 - Because i was a victim of Fraud Activity/ Suspected Fraud - (but - "ANY AMOUNTS OWED HAVE BEEN PAID IN FULL "/SETTLED IN FULL)... and because ChexSystms report - i check my credit score through CREDIT KARMA once in awhile ==> US Bank Reject Open Checking account .. . - 1 star for the The "Teller".

I said to the bank teller thank you for not asking me to wear my mask, I told her I look forward to the day California becomes a republican state ??, her reply was no comment I just work here this Hispanic Latina teller had no personality like some of the other bank tellers do that I have come across I told her I'm just sharing my opinion since I'm here , also the last few times I have been to this branch the teller has to go to the back all the time, they are acting like i have to cash a 6 figure check or something by going to the back its a 3 figure check honey, I also look forward to the day the bank tellers are not wearing a mask for me its a prepandemic for you its a pandemic I really enjoy the vista us bank better on vista village their is a young woman around her 30s that works their she has a great personality and is very nice and it least this teller does not have to go the back , I will be back to this Oceanside location but maybe in 2023 or 24 but not anytime soon

I tried to use the atm to withdraw cash. The machine malfunctioned, and ate my card. When I went inside to retrieve the card I was told it could not be returned to me, because there was nothing on the card to identify me as the owner. They shredded my card, and I had to pay a replacement fee to get a new card.

Tellers are friendly but I dont think the branch is managed well. It seems as though they only have a skeleton workforce. This is either due to a poor job of scheduling or hiring. It may also be because US Bank could be going through a hiring freeze for whatever reason and the manager may not be allowed to hire more people.

Needed banking services for my new business, during the pandemic. They were easy to contact, I could get an appointment to meet with an advisor quickly, and was set up and ready to go with no difficulty. Luke was fantastic to work with and I really like having someone like him locally on my side. Great experience.

Super frustrating with these folks. Tried to do a wire transfer to close a home loan. The branch manager has every reason in the book for why he didn't want to do the transfer. I am fully aware that he is looking out for the banks interest and our best interest but the process really didn't have to be so difficult. I have dealt with the manager on Melrose/Hacienda and had such better experiences. Unfortunately, they are closed for walk in business right now so I had to go to this beach. Could have been so much better! A little customer service could have gone a long way.

I just had a great experience with a former Marine that works at the Oceanside branch. He was professional, courteous, and went above and beyond. He recognized problems before I even mentioned them and was quick to fix. Thank you Luke! Thank you US Bank for hiring military members like Luke and for taking care of former military members, like myself, through your different rewards programs for prior service.

Horrible tellers even a worse branch manager. Rude and unwilling to help. Open accounts elsewhere.

By far, this was the worst experience with a bank ever. I do not have enough time or room here to describe everything that US Bank did to me and my business due to their lack of professionalism. I still cannot believe the way I was treated by my home branch manager (Patrice), phone support, and basically everyone at US Bank that was invoked in handling my 4 year old account. Patrice Is the manager at the branch, so she is ultimately my interface to US Bank. Patrice really started the problem by not contacting me and relaying important information that would have my business disrupted. Information of that magnitude needs to be followed up with quickly, completely, and professionally. Patrice got me here without a doubt. My small business account was in perfect standing, perfect credit, not a single overdraft, not a single bad check deposited, and thus not a single extra service fee was paid due to any mistake on my part in the 4+ years that I had the account proving that my account was trouble free on my part. My account was abruptly closed after I did not receive a letter (stamped USPS letter with no tracking or signature of receipt) asking VERIFY my Tax ID (4 years after opening the account). This is after the branch manager (Patrice) already contacted me once and I supplied the needed info a few months ago (guess what, Patrice did not do her job). If this new letter was lost or I was on vacation for 10 days: ACCOUNT CLOSED! No phone call, voice mail, text, email, secure message in my (paperless account) account even letting me know there was an issue or a letter was even sent out and for me to look for it in the mail. US Bank JUST CLOSED MY ACCOUNT which I have been using consistently without them even talking to me about what was happening! US Bank would not allow me to take my money and walk it to another bank. US Bank told me (when I called customer service at 5am) to go into the branch and they would authorize the withdrawal for me if the branch would call them back. By the time the branch opened at 9am, my account was closed, a check was mailed, and I was told that there was no tracking, timeframe, or way to know when the check with my complete balance ($Thousands) would show up. How would you like to wake up to a zero balance in your checking and be told a check is in the mail? How would you get by with paying bills and running your life with no money in a heartbeat? No, I would never recommend getting involved with a company that would treat a great customer like me this way. Truly, I wonder how US Bank employees can even work for that company the way they treat people like me, so of course I would discourage people that I care about from being abused the way I have been by US Bank. To date (it has been days), I am still waiting for thousands of dollars to show up in the mail, so I do not have funds to even pay my bills appropriately due to US Banks unethical behavior. Hope this saves some of you some grief! Zero Stars
