More upscale boutique in the middle of everything, also close to the beach. Nicely decorated place and very attentive customer service, lots of merchandise from clothes, to books, home goods and gift ideas ! Prices are on the higher side, the quality of products is good. When we stopped by around the holidays, they were very festive with music playing, vendors offering food samples and drinks. It made the shopping experience more fun and festive! Enjoyable visit at The Ozone!

There was zero customers in the moment I went in today on Nov. 16. 2023 it was at 3:35ish on a Thursday afternoon. I went into the store because it caught my eye. I wanted to get a head start on my Xmas gift shopping. I've never been in there nor seen the store before, it's very beautiful. I kid you not, I've never had this happen to me but I was being followed by one of the assistants/ employees. I wasn't even greeted when I walked in but was followed until I noticed. That's when she came up to ask if I needed help. The energy felt so off. I declined her help because I was just browsing at the moment. Again, it was my first time in the store. There was another employee talking to another employee and I could just see them looking at me, staring me down like I didn't belong there. I just felt really uncomfortable when the employee kept following me and stopped to check at every place I touched or picked up an item to look. I've never had someone follow me because they thought I was stealing. I had no backpack, I carried my money and had my hands out at all time. I honestly felt racially profiled. This lady was wearing a pink sweater, short brown hair to her shoulders, white. Again, this lady kept following me and staring at me through the mirrors they have in their store. She pretend like she was fixing her hair but you can definitely tell when someone is staring at you. I saw her and she again, was just staring down. When I left, the two other ladies were just grinning. Such a weird experience.

Love this store. Keeps me "up to date" on what's cool and relaxed to wear with flair and style. This holiday season I'll pick up great gift ideas as well. I enjoy browsing and all the people who work there.

Beautiful merchandise but super expensive. This is an up and coming area, not yet flourishing so I imagine sales are rough. Two stores side by side beach front can not be cheap. There is some hope but it's going to take time to get the stigma of Oceanside to evolved. I expect that to take 5 years or so. Fashion Valley, UTC or Hillcrest would have been a much better choice.

I love this store. So many wonderful attractive nice gifts & clothing. I find I always end up wearing the quality, beautiful pieces I buy here no matter what else I have. Has a very Los Angeles cool feel. Great for medium to high priced gifts....and of course for yourself. It’s great and the sales people are the best!

At first I thought it was racism, but after reading a few other reviews I realized these people are just plain jerks. It is a relief, so to speak, because it really almost ruined the rest of my day. I was followed around the store and every time I looked up some young brunette girl was right on my heels. Then I turned around and saw the two more "seasoned" women behind me. I really liked the hats there, I am a person who owns a lot of hats. I bought so many at Goorin Bros. when I lived in Atlanta that they gave me a free one. Anyway, I was curious to know if the hats they had were Panama hats because they looked very similar. However when I looked under the rim it said it was made in China, so no...not an authentic Panama. Anywho, it was $150 which is average for a good hat. However, it wouldn't be in my best interest to reward someone for treating me with distain. The geriatric broads are training little miss brunette to be like them. It's sad. She said something to me and I did not respond, that is so out of my character but no response is better than calling them all out. I took my leave in order to be peaceable. Anyone who treats other humans this way will have their day. What goes around, comes around. And what is coming for them is already on it's way. I don't need to do anything. My friend asked about thrift stores in the area and one of the workers was kind enough to help her, she put together a list. However, she was screaming it so loud that it was disturbing to say the least. Some of the clothes are decent but not great. Items are marked up about 400%. It wreaks of "we can't afford to be here so we are going to pass that on to you, the customer. By the way...we also want you to feel extremely uncomfortable if we look at you and based on our ignorance decide you can't afford our trash." I will be back in maybe a year or two, when the space is occupied by Anthropologie or something like that . Get outta here!

If you like items trying to look expensive but the inside tag says "made in China" and a horde of humans staring at your every move following you around and responding to your questions in a passive aggressive way. This is the store for you! I put a long post up the day I went to this store because I was so upset. I since took it down because I took some personal shots at people because of their age. That was wrong. I cannot however, just move on like it is ok. I am not sure who is responsible for the way the employees move in this store. I can only say that their tactics are evil. Whoever is responsible and those who participate in this type of behavior will reap what they sow. I actually was going to buy a hat there, even though it was extremely overpriced. It was made of paper and made in China. It was trying to look like a panama hat. When I asked the salesperson about it she didn't even know what a panama hat was. Then she made some remark about how low the price was ($150). Maybe she was looking for a reaction from me. I am a hat collector and I have paid well over that amount for hats. Not because I need to prove anything to anyone but because I like the hat! Needless to say I will never go in there again. We were so determined to stay away from the implicit bias and micro aggressions that we used the sidewalk across the street to walk back from the beach. To all the salespeople in that store who participated in this foolishness and who continue to promote treating others in this unkind way, all I have to say is shame on you. It really is a shame.

Came to the store while enjoying the nice weather- I was immediately spoken to by Sam. She seemed pretty nice and helpful, detailing the different items, like a plastic or straw looking hat that was handmade in Ecuador.... it was $298! While Sam was searching for a different size, one of the women followed behind me talking to my back. Creepy. When Sam came back, a gaggle of older women. Employees. ok ok..2 off them gathered behind us whispering- until I turned to look at them. They started back, then hesitantly dispersed. My sister did not like being followed around so she left the whole store.Ultimately- overall I don't like being followed around in a store as if I am a thief- so I'm just going to be more positive about this one and believe that they all work on commission. Like car salesman- they wanted to make sales.

Was really looking forward to shopping at the Ozone since a few months back while visiting the Mission Pacific Hotel my friend and I fell in love with the scent the hotel uses in their common areas and bathroom. We learned you could buy the products at Ozone but it was closed for the night. I went back yesterday to buy some of the products for my friend's birthday. I was the only customer in there and at first it seemed friendly, but as I held up a couple sweatshirts to look at I realized they were looking at me very suspiciously. Granted it was an adorable snoopy sweatshirt that for some reason had a price tag of $435 so perhaps she thought I couldn't afford to shop there. For the record, I can, but that shouldn't have mattered and everybody should be welcome to come in and shop. The older brunette woman, who is probably about my age, asked if she could help and when I told her the product I was looking for, she did do a good job of directing me to it. As I was picking out the products and buying them I made some small talk about how long I've been waiting to come in and how my friend and I discovered these products. Honestly, I don't think she cared anything about what I was saying, she didn't engage me back, didn't smile or even make eye contact. She just rang me up and off I went.

Wow! I never though I would see the day that Oceanside (no offense) had such high level products and services.Great place if you’re looking for a gift for yourself or someone else’s. There’s a variety of beachwear, casual wear, jewelry, perfume and home goods.Aidan (the assistant manager) is a pleasure to speak with and we will definitely back for more lovely treats!

We were staying at the seabird hotel across the street and wanted to get sunblock,,, i don't recommend the ozone storesDon't shop here unless you want to be followed around like a bad person, the old brunette lady and the security guard were following my girlfriend with our 4 month old baby, then once when we bought stuff the guy followed my girlfriend to the other straight to the other store while she tried to buy sun block. Then i caught him peering out the window at our other friend with their stroller and 1 year old . Way to make customers feel creeped out
