Best salon experience ever, the stylist Linda is such a charm and she’s really god at her job, I loved how my hair turned out so much, and the price surprised me, I find it very affordable specially because she did such a great job!
My husband loved it so much he wants me to keep going back ?☺️☺️ recommend 10/10 there are some before and after pictures

We live in AZ and my husband waits for us to go to Oceanside 4x a year to visit The Hair Parlour for a haircut. MICHELLE is exceptional there. She spends time and attention to detail. She is pleasant to visit with and listens intently to what YOU want in a cut. She will always have our business!

2nd visit to this salon after a few years and with a different stylist than before. The lady who booked me informed me that there were 5 levels they rank their stylists and showed me the pricing for each level. She showed me that my first stylist years ago was a level 1/5 (explains the disappointment from my previous review). I chose a level 3/5 stylist this time, considering my hair is wavy and I wasn’t asking for much.
Short story: I didn’t get what I asked for, not even close to the photos I brought. I actually got what I specifically said I didn’t want.
Long story: I am disappointed, to say the least. My color and cut are good, but not at all what I asked for. I showed photos of both the cut and color I wanted and got neither. She gave me options of how she could dye my hair and I told her the color outcome I wanted and she kept asking me questions on the method she should use. I told her that I’m not a hair stylist, so I don’t know how to do it, and whatever she needed to do to achieve the outcome I asked for was fine with me. She involved the owner, who asked me a couple of questions and gave her advice on how to manage it. I asked for short layers and she gave me long layers. I asked a 2nd time for short layers and she shortened them, but they were still long. She refused to give me short layers, told me she would not give me short layers bc it would make my hair appear bigger, since I had mentioned before that I don’t like when my hair gets frizzy, fluffy and big.
I thought, “pay high price, receive high quality.” It’s really unfair that I spend $350 (color, cut, 3 products, & tip) and didn’t get what I asked for. I promise I could have gotten this exact outcome at a cheap salon.
The people of the salon were nice and easy to get along with. The environment was comfortable. A star for that. My hair does look good, decent. One star for that. It could have been worse, however for the price it should have been what I asked for. Shame on you.

Lastly, to the reply by the owner to my 1st review. I had gone to the salon a few months prior to leaving the review. Them stating that I hadn’t in 7 years was false because I’d only been there once at the time, a few months prior…?

I have been coming here since 2018 and been a loyal customer. Over the last few years the quality and customer service has gone down hill. I been pretty understanding and been unhappy a few times but kept coming back because I had such a good experience when Rebecca the owner use to do my hair. Today i sent my daughter over for an up due for her senior prom. We went to Michelle. Within an hour of leaving she sent me a photo of her hair falling apart. She was trying to fix it herself but was having a hard time. I called the salon to see if I could send her back so they could quickly fix it.... (I was out of town mind you) i was told "No we are all booked!" And offered NO apology or a solution of any kind. I basically begged and said we just need 10 mins to make it look presentable it doesnt need to be all redone. Surely someone could throw a few pins in her hair while their client is sitting under the dryer or proccessing right?! "My teenager daughter is crying on her prom " I told them. Avery? the manager was not at all empathetic or understanding in the least. I will definatley no longer be returning because how this was handled really rubbed me wrong. More than what had happened even. Update: Rebecca's reply to my review and time line of Events is all false. If someone told me right away we could return in 30 mins we would jump on it. I got a message and missed call an hour and a half later saying she could come in. After intially being told "NO" SEVERAL times after begging...My daughter was in route to a friends trying to get it resolved. After speaking with Rebecca the following Monday, I was further frustrated that she didnt really take accountability but made us wrong for weating a T shirt, (No one told us when booking) and for writing this "hurtful review". The salon has some good stylists and my experience over the years has been good.... But do not go there for updos. They simply do not know how to do them or have the man power. I wasnt going to ask for my money back but after getting further frustrated by the owners lack of accountability I did request my money back and I was refunded.

Terrible cancellation policy. They did not allow me to reschedule when I had an emergency and were very unsympathetic. I tried to call the shop to reschedule and it would go straight to voicemail saying they don't accept phone calls during the day??? Then she claimed they had received zero calls from me saying I didn't call the shop to cancel in advance.

I went in for a balayage. I knew I may not be able to get to what my inspo picture looked like but the stylist reassured me. My hair is really damaged and very orange. I spent 4 hours of my time and over 200 dollars. I called and they did offer to put a toner on my hair but I didn’t feel very welcome at the salon and they were making it seem like it was my fault. Now my hair is falling out and I have to go pay someone else more to try and save it/make it not bright orange.

Can’t say enough good things about this salon. I come here regularly for Brazilian Blowouts and recently got my hair cut here. I’ve always been blown away by the results. The stylists here are so knowledgeable and personable, and the atmosphere is relaxed. I always look forward to getting my hair done here.

I literally had the best time getting my hair done with Daisy! We did a gloss and she educated me on all the questions I had. You learn something new everyday, right!
Deffff see Daisy, she’ll make you feel comfortable.
Also I have a sensitive head and she really took her time with patience and care so I wouldn’t feel any pulling. Note my hair gets dry easily in San Diego and tangles fast.
My appointment went smoothly and that’s why I keep going back. You’re in great hands at the Hair Parlour

Tyler is an absolute magician with scissors and color! Finally, I found my hair soulmate with him! Not only does he have an incredible eye for detail, but he also takes the time to truly understand his clients' needs and preferences. My cuts and color always exceed my expectations- bc he always is sure to curate my cut and color based off not only what I want, but with what is best for my hair type, face shape, etc. Tyler is one of the few people I have and always will trust with my hair! I am very satisfied with my haircut! Second time at the Hair Parlour. My stylist was Sarah. She provided a thorough consultation, giving suggestions on layering and other options. Service was wonderful, and I'm so happy with how my hair turned out. Look forward to returning!

Love this salon! It was my first time there and when I walked in I immediately liked the atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly. There are pothos plants hanging that just add to the whole experience. Michelle did my hair and she did a great job. She's very personable and listened when I told her what I wanted. She also made some suggestions about turning down the temperature on my heat tools because I had some hair breakage. She recommended some product to repair the damage. I just wish I could do my hair the way she did it. I am returning for sure and will be asking for Michelle.

Rebecca and the staff here are nothing but rockstars! Their professionalism and talent are unparalleled. As a curly girl it’s so hard to find a salon that listens to all your hair concerns and fully understand and delivers what you want. And I can fully say they MORE than deliver. I always leave feeling like a billion dollars and my hair feels so soft and shiny- the bounciest curls with perfect volume every time. The haircuts and color I get here are the best hairstyles I’ve had in my whole life! I recommend The Hair Parlour to anyone in the area!
