Betty was amazing! Recommended the poke bowl and the dessert from next door. Very sweet and kind and helpful. I’ll definitely be coming back and may even visit the restaurant next door again. Thanks betty :)

Love how close this location was to everything. Less than 5min walk from transit center, or movie theatre. Lots of shopping and food and bars nearby. Only thing I wish it had was a spa.
Rooms: Very clean, with excellent hot shower. Lots of outlets for charging.
Nearby activities: Bars, shopping, movies, and of course the beach. It's also super close to the transit center, so you could conveniently take a bus or train to anywhere.
Safety: Off street parking was clean and gated. Lounge area was kept secure with staff on hand at all hours.
Walkability: Very romantic. Was able to easily walk to dinner and a movie. Kinda wish I had stayed longer to explore more of the town.
Food & drinks: Hotel restaurant was nice and there were easily 10 other spots within 5min walks.

We stayed in the Kingbed Bungalow & it was so pleasant. The air conditioning was so quiet. The best experience in a Fin Hotel.

Hotel was nice and clean and walking distance near some nice places to eat and shop. But the walls are very thin. We heard our neighbors repeatedly practicing for what we can only assume were tryouts for an adult movie. Maybe they were celebrating how convenient the EV charging was at the transit center only a few feet away? Or that the movies and pier were so convenient? Can't be sure. But they celebrated, over and over, and over again. Judging by how much we heard, "oh god!," they could have also been pious, and just exercising a lot.

My wife and daughter checked in today, Saturday 5/25. So many things here.
The room smells moldy, musty causing headaches
Stan the manager should not
be in a customer service role, when customer service is not a primary focus of his. Stan admitted the hotel is not pet friendly, BUT they accept service PETS. Stan also said they don’t deep clean every day.
After sharing concerns with Stan (headaches, musty/moldy smell), he said well we are full, do you want to cancel your room. As if this was just a way to resell the room. I asked to speak to his manager he said call Hilton. Only after I called in to the national customer service line after waiting on hold for 30+ min, sharing with them my concerns, and then being told there are no other hotels in the area….. but we could cancel your room and they would refund you.
After all this shock from the hotel experience to the CS experience, then the fun hotel calls to ask if we were staying in the room because we left to go to the next soccer game, so they could resell?
Not really sure how to say anything positive outside of the fact that the hotel is kinda close to the water.
Edit…the room smell and headaches were so bad, they had to leave and another room had to be booked at a local Marriott in Del Mar.
I am hopeful, CS, corporate Hilton will see this and take a real look into the issue with this room and our overall experience.

Booked a trip to Oceanside and decided to go with this cute little hotel. It’s in a great location, walkable to many different restaurants And about 10 minutes from the beach. Booked online, but when I came in, I had forgotten a couple things and the check-in host was Friendly and helped accommodate us. I also get very cold at night, they were Very kind and provided us with a portable heater. 10 out of 10 would definitely be back.

Great location close to the water with lots of great food nearby. Sultan was super helpful in getting us to the best places around the hotel! Just don’t challenge him to shuffleboard!

Very disappointing and disgusting behavior from management and staff in general. I was hung up on multiple times when asking questions prior to booking. Due to a last min reservation I had no other choice but to stay here . My room had such a foul smell and when I told front desk they said there’s nothing they can do. To top everything out the hotel had ROACHES! absolutely sickening. I was very uncomfortable all night. I don’t recommend staying here! please give your money to a nicer hotel!

I wholeheartedly implore you to steer clear of The Fin Hotel for your lodging needs. My recent stay there was nothing short of a nightmare, and I would hate for anyone else to endure the same ordeal. The overall experience was marred by a multitude of issues, primarily stemming from the abysmal quality of service and the downright disrespectful behavior exhibited by the staff.Upon arrival, it was evident that the staff members were disinterested and lacked any semblance of professionalism. Their indifference was palpable, and it set the tone for the entirety of my stay. Requests for even the most basic amenities were met with sighs of annoyance and eye rolls, as if inconveniencing them was a cardinal sin. It became increasingly clear that guest satisfaction was not a priority for them.Furthermore, the condition of the room I was assigned was utterly appalling. It was apparent that cleanliness was an afterthought, with stains marring the bed linens and bathroom fixtures. The lack of maintenance was glaringly evident, with peeling wallpaper and chipped furniture detracting from any semblance of comfort. Additionally, the noise from neighboring rooms and the street outside was incessant, making it nearly impossible to get a decent night's sleep.Despite my attempts to address these concerns with the staff, I was met with defensiveness and dismissiveness. It was abundantly clear that they had no interest in rectifying the situation or providing any semblance of customer service. The entire experience left me feeling frustrated, disheartened, and utterly disappointed.In light of my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend The Fin Hotel to anyone. There are countless other lodging options available that prioritize guest satisfaction and provide a much more enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Save yourself the trouble and choose a different hotel for your accommodations.

We had a mixed experience with the room, but the manager's receptiveness and help was so exceptional that I feel like anything less than five stars would be a disservice.
We were on the bottom floor and the room itself was quite nice. It was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the robes/sandals were a nice touch. However, the musty odor was overwhelming in our room. Maybe it was related to being on the bottom floor, record rains the Oceanside area had recently experienced, or specific to that room because the hotel was booked up. Regardless, the smell was unbearable for us.
The staff was kind, responsive, and connected us with the manager to discuss options. The manager was receptive and very friendly. He navigated us through the options to address the issue and identified a positive outcome. The manager transformed what could have been a poor vacation memory into a positive experience.

PLEASE CLOSE DOWN THIS ABOMINATION!!! Honestly if I could give this “hotel” 0 stars I absolutely would. Nothing about this place is good, I don’t even know why this is a part of Hilton Hotels. The rooms are dirty and small, the location is terrible, and the staff are unbelievably rude, especially the general manager so don’t even bother trying to reconcile with him because he will not improve your stay whatsoever. I think there are definitely some concerns that need to be addressed about this place because this certainly does not meet Hilton standards. I would definitely like to report this property and hopefully it reaches a person of status, because I have been staying at Hilton Hotels for years now and the level of service that I received from the front desk and manager on duty was abysmal. Please safe yourself the trouble of staying here.

My recent stay at Fin Hotel could very well have made my Top 5 list of Hilton stays. This little hotel is a delightful mix of hospitality and modern charm packed into 1920s sized rooms. Expect to be cozy and comfortable! The manager and staff were all very kind and helpful and made my stay perfect. I highly recommend the adjacent restaurant and coffee shop too!
The pillows and bed were very comfortable; the shower was very nice; the room was quiet; the lobby lovely; the restaurant and coffee shop superb; the robes and slippers and towels thoughtfully provided; and the soaps and lotions were quality. The room, linens and towels were squeaky clean: it is the cleanest Hilton hotel I have stayed at in a long while.
The Fin Hotel staff clearly valued the customer and the quality of the experience for their guests. It was refreshing.
