Just a word of warning do not open a business account here period if you're ATM card gets compromised, they will make you wait 10 days to get a new one, which if you're running a business you know is totally unacceptable.

I was originally super frustrated because my debit card was blocked without any notice however when I called Carolyn picked up and was SO helpful.She explained the situation to me and had my card back up & running within minutes!This is my favorite bank (and branch) and I’m happy to overlook the little issues because of the awesome staff.

Service at the local branch is generally pretty good. My complaint is about online banking. I frequently am unable to connect and get the "try again later" message. At this time the system has been down for at least two days and when I called they suggested using a different search engine. This worked sometimes but the experience is frustrating. They need to upgrade their online banking technology.

I wish I had read the reviews before wasting my time and gas to drive to this location. You might as well be talking to a computer as to engage the person who walks up and asks you what you need. I sat down and he handed me a piece of paper. no orientation, no questions, no offers no alternatives -- and this is why we are paying people minimum wage ---- because they are not worth even the minimum.

The staff at the Oceanside location are very nice and efficient! A special thank you to Dan and Lupe who have been at this location for the past few years. Each time I have been there, they have been friendly and professional! The New Accounts team and the Management there are equally as nice and knowledgeable too! Their stupid dress code when you walk into the bank is ridiculous. I'm 120 lb little white girl. I'm not going to rob your freakin bank. My sunglasses are transitioning and I cant see without them so no I'm not taking them off. So freaking rude. I hate this bank.

They are a terrible institution to do business with. If you have online statements you won’t be able to access your account over 80% of the time their site including your app will be under repair unable to access. Branch staff is not inclined or trained to help their customers. SDCCU will NEVER notify you when there is an issue with your account tellers are trained to charge you a $5.00 fee for any print outs, this is SDCCU policy. They are unhelpful unwilling to help the manager said they have a mandatory fee charge of $5.00 that must remain on your account for 24 hours before it can be removed?! Why even add the fee? Avoid SDCCU at ANY Cost! You will Regret it!! You will NEVER get Customer service on the phone! Even if you lost your card or there is fraud to report! This bank is a sham!

Lupe has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Her tone and the way she talks down to customers is unacceptable. I have been with SSCCU for over 20 years. I will be canceling my account.

I wish there was a zero star option for this review. SDCCU is not only a rip off with their higher than average interest rates, their online banking is abysmal. Their customer support is worthless. I am in the process of refinancing an auto loan to get away from this bank, and when I called to get the 10-day payoff, the agent told me he could not stop the auto-payment I have set up. Well neither can I. It is physically impossible to access the auto-payment on their website because when you access it in your account it says there is no eligible account. There is no page for "recurring transfer" like any other banking site has. Now I am stuck waiting for this payment to clear so I can get a new 10-day payoff because this bank is worthless. Go check out their online banking app, it was apparently developed by a middle school drop out tech student.

Came in because chip wasn’t working( 2nd time in 6months ) I just wanted a new card with same numbers. Instead without telling or asking I get a card with all new numbers. I was trying to transfer money from 2 other apps into my checking and all got placed on fraud because it didn’t recognize the card. That’s how I knew it was messed up. Went in. Upset because I was already feeling inconvenienced by the chip. Then was told there was nothing they could do. I rarely ask for a manager because I think that’s annoying however this wasn’t my fault and was ruining my day. Manager was able to fix it. This left a bad taste. I’ll be closing all of my accounts in the near future. I don’t recommend this credit union.
