Their % rate loan to purchase my 1 year old Lexus beat my bank, the dealership and my husband's Navy FCU % rates. Their service is friendly, helpful, and quick! For all these reasons I give them 5 stars!!I have always had excellent service from Irma and others at the Oceanside branch during the past 2 years.

Overall it’s a great bank but if you happen to go to the Oceanside branch, I highly recommend avoiding working with “Irma.”She is quite negative and definitely needs some training on customer service. Im a 10 year member with this bank and she is the only bad experience my family and I have had here. Hoping they will open another branch in North county.

This bank is amazing!! They helped me purchase my first home and two cars! They treat their clients like family and go above and beyond to assist them. I have been a member for 20+ years and I truly appreciate their dedication to service with a smile. I would not bank anywhere else!

I lived in Orange county for about 50 years. This Cu has the best customer service of any CU I have tried. I was a contact person for the FDIC and while they don't oversee CUs, I know a great institution. The manager at the Oceanside branch recently went WAY above normal duties. I was having an issue (not her department) and she followed up even though it was turned over to another department. This is not the only superior person I have known at this company. They hire quality people.

By far the nicest SchoolsFirst I have been in. Andrea was the superstar here along with her warm and friendly colleagues. She got my daughter a new debit card, as hers had expired, as well as updated an address, (She even told us where to find the peppermint puffs at Albertsons that are for customers to enjoy). She went above and beyond and made it a memorable experience. Excellent people at this branch and stupendous customer service

They opened this branch not all that long ago -2016?- & thrilling to first see it here, I was on the road all the time from OC thru SD County. As a member for 20 years in Costa Mesa and Irvine, I first knew this (truly awesome) Federal Credit Union as "Orange County Teachers FCU".At the start of this branch they were a godsend for small but important banking needs, ones that couldn't wait for OC or a commute to their other branches many miles away. A great location for such members. The reception kiosk at the entrance has very friendly and capable reps, and Daniel stands out as very skilled. All of them are just great, in fact.In our work, venues and routes have just now changed and it's unlikely we'll be passing through this branch again during business times, but the outside ATM is always very handy after hours, not nearly enough yet in SD County. In leaving town before it slips my mind I wanted to post a glowing review and small thanks for so many nice turns and favors, since one is well-deserved at this branch. Here's hoping the O'Side office continues to grow apace along with their outstanding credit union -my favorite- and with yet another fine branch to its "credit".... There should be more than five stars as an option but we'll just have to stick with that until Google comes up with some upgrades!~~~~Not yet an upgrade, but update: late "May of Coronapalooza" 2020~Closure of most business, if not almost the entire planet (?!) --- has put the opening of nearer and more "convenient" FCU branches on hold. I had emailed the FCU about the projected opening of a San Diego branch, which had been a welcome heads up, I was replied that it's soon but not yet a fixed date. That was New Year's. But since then?! Hold on to your hat, the world's been turned upside down, since my Lakers beat the Clippers March 8.Then NBA suspended the season, the Governor suspended the State, and most of the world was put on the "pause" button!?But I digress. Our own business of the past 5 years was suspended for the entire season, anyway, so a San Diego branch opening is now a moot point altogether. Whenever. The global panic pandemic drew most of us back to OC, & myself with it for some while, SD is now off limits.Moot point or not, it has done little enough to dull your standard garden-variety "conspiracy theory". Right? The lead epidemiologist in England, who said this virus might take millions of lives in his country, was forced to resign last night for violating his own lockdown orders, caught having his "married lover" at his flat (!). He had had a mild case of this dread flu recently & his excuse last night was, "I thought I already had an immunity." Wow.Just HIS "errors in judgement" -as "Professor Lockdown" put it- are affecting even all our FCUs, & all else!~~£4£&$4$+my2¢"Coincidence or Conspiracy? We report, you decide!"(Meanwhile, I originally posted the review, above the line, a month before the post by Mr. Carlos Martinez. (It updates each time it's edited.) I'm trying to guess how his got nearly 500 views, and mine got 30? All the others, before those, even those without comments, had comparable numbers of views as his. 1000s or more. How could one of mine then only get five or ten percent of those? Aren't same?Google tracks those numbers. It almost defies scientific explanation, absent a hack by a 3rd party? Exterior manipulation? (Certainly no personnel in-house would do that.)Russians?! LOL. I have never seen such a thing before at Google reviews, or anywhere else. So for that reason alone, and of course in the interests of member security, I thought it should be pointed out for closer scrutiny. (By either staff or, possibly, credit union membership.) So I post that here.Well, with Covid the star of our season, it drops off the chart for now. But my issue is: "exterior manipulation"."3rd party"?Whatever caused it, th

I didn't feel very welcome this afternoon. Especially with my account history. I felt like I was dealing with Wells Fargo or BofA and not SFFCU. What a disappointment!

I had to get a cashiers check so I stopped by this location and was quickly greeted as I walked in and helped by Kristina at the window. At first there was only one teller already helping a member so Kristina walked over logged in and helped me right away. I really appreciate the Teller that was busy with the member telling me someone would be with me soon and then Kristina pops up to help me. I was having a bad day because my Cat Lola died earlier but Kristina went out of her way to help me and even talked to me about her two cats. Thank you for great customer service!! it helped me since I was having a bad day.

I always get quick and prompt service when I come to this location no matter what time of day or what day of the week. From small items such as getting a cashier's check to bigger things like rolling my accounts into my trust, everyone I've dealt with is friendly and knowledgeable. A breath of fresh air compared to the decline of service at Bank of America. If you work in education or one of your immediate family members does, do check them out.

I have been using Schools first for several years and have been very happy with their wonderful and above the mark customer service..... UNTIL, during the past month, I have had 2 issues and it took many hours to reach a customer service person. In one case, I ended up going to the branch and sitting there until it was resolved. Then today, I discovered that a check I wrote to a relative back in April was debited from my account TWICE - once in April and again 2 weeks ago. My relative did NOT deposit it twice and if someone DID attempt to deposit a check twice, I trust my financial institution to insure the funds are not withdrawn twice. So I waited for 2 + hours for a call, and once I got one, spent another 2 hours speaking with a representative and on hold as they investigated. The bottom line was this: Schools First doesn't appear to have any system to insure this doesn't happen. If I had not gone through my account, I would have lost $1200. I asked what protected members from this and there is nothing. He claimed "it happens". Time to find a new credit union. So bummed.
