Monday was a bit slow because they're getting the groups and playlist worked out. Tuesday was better... By Weds-Fri my shy son is having a good time and ended up nailing the drums on 6 songs at the mini concert. He had never played music with others, so he learned so much. Everyone is really nice. It's a chill but competent vibe. You might want to make sure there are other kids there same age as your child. The other child the same age as my son didn't show, so he didn't really have peers, which was honestly kinda sad, but he still had a good time with the staff and some of the students that were helping. Glad he stuck it out, so was he! A shout out to all the teachers and helpers. At the end of the day we remember how others made us "feel". You made my son feel welcomed and that he belonged. That means a lot!

School of rock is the best. We have my daughter in a lot of different activities but this one is her favorite. It’s cool seeing her play and learn about all the different instruments at the same time having fun. She always looks forward to going.Thank you school of rock!!

Excited to have our second day at the school of rock! Everyone seems to be very friendly, we had a very great first day with Uncle “E”… I think his name is Eric. I have four little kiddos and they all seem to be super excited about music right now and I pray they stick with it. Thank you so much for your great program, we can’t wait to see what is in store for their future.

Super patient with the kiddos, and adults. They give a lot of grace to their students. Carly is who I've met most often and she's super kind and encouraging. It's exciting witnessing our kids grow in their knowledge of music. Looking forward to more classes. If you are not sure, they offer a free visit via their website. What do you have to lose?! Go check them out.

We are enjoying watching our son learn and develop his drum skills. He enjoys the one on one drum lessons and the performance groups. As parents we enjoy attending the live shows. As a musician myself I applaud the school of rock for their hard work and dedication molding new musicians.

We really like how the programs include group and performance based curriculum. The instructors are experienced and very competent, as well. We also like that the school has the perfect ratio of casual fun to serious commitment

We love our son's instructor, Aubrey. The whole staff at SOR is awesome, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our son's love of music had really taken hold as well. He will pickup his guitar at home and practice on his own and is always singing. Love SOR!

Oceanside School of Rock is an exceptional music school, and I am thrilled that my child is participating in their private lessons and performance program. The environment is supportive, and the progress that my child has made in the past year is remarkable. I’ve watched my eight year old go from zero experience, to playing with a band on a real stage within a year. The highlight for him was a workshop with Sum41 drummer Frank Zummo, he talked about it for weeks. The School of Rock teaching method allows students to dive into playing rock songs while building theory at a slower pace. For younger players, this method seems to keep them excited and engaged much better than my experience in traditional music schools. Students in the performance program aren’t just learning to play music, they are learning what it takes to be a musician. They learn about band rehearsals, gigs, sets, and promotion. The shows take place in professional venues with professional equipment and the students get a true rock star experience. The performance program can be a bit cost prohibitive, but the experience School of Rock provides is well worth it.The absolute best part of Oside SOR is the staff, everyone is kind, patient and extremely caring with the students. Matt and Nicki do a great job running the office, they are welcoming, helpful and responsive to questions. Every instructor has been extremely knowledgeable and great at working with kids. My kid loves going in to see Jason and always comes out of his lessons excited about what he learned and ready to go home and practice what he has learned. I absolutely recommend Oceanside School of Rock to anyone interested in learning to play music, they have a unique program that will have new students playing songs from the start.

We love SOR, awesome staff and very patient with kids. My son has been here about 10 months and already knows so many songs on his electric guitar.

Our grandson had a great time at the 3-Day Winter camp. He thought he was interested in piano or drums, but after camp broke, he's hooked on playing the bass. Thank you Matt, Audrey and Eric for making this a fun learning experience for our grandson. We appreciate and love the work that you all do for our youth. I highly recommend the School of Rock!!
