Fantastic experience, Doug was great at getting all 3 of our teen-ages kids on the board and ready to rip it up! They had a great time, felt very comfortable, and able to learn the basics. Doug is obviously a great teacher who loves to surf. Thanks for the experience Doug!

This experience was great overall. We were visiting from Wyoming and Our son Diego (born with only his right hand, nothing past his elbow on the left arm) wanted to learn to surf… and we honestly think Doug was the best instructor he could have had. Doug was extremely kind and patient and his personality shines bright. He keeps it light and cracks jokes from time to time but knows when to get serious. After a brief training session and some practice, Diego was up and riding full waves all the way to the shore in no time. Definitely recommend!

So much fun!! We went in with no experience and were able to stand in only a few tries. Doug was great and created a super positive experience. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

This was the most fun i’ve had since I was a kid! Seriously, if you’re considering taking a surfing lesson, sandiego surf is the way to go. The price is unbeatable, and it is an experience of a lifetime. (not to mention the amazing photos you get!) Cant wait for another lesson. ?

Doug was awesome and Sal was a huge help! Fun and informative, the lessons were super approachable and my wife was surfing within one or two tries once she got on the water! Beautiful! Look for the yellow shirts for the best instruction around!

Incredible lessons with Doug and Sal! Started us right on the beach and taught us fundamentals then got us into the water and loaded us into a ton of radical waves ??♂️ 10/10 left the beach more informed and with a ton of gnarly footy

my brother and i did surfing lessons with Doug and Sal and had an absolute blast!! it was our first time surfing and we both were able to get up on the board?couldn’t recommend them more—such an amazing experience!! ??♀️??♀️

I booked the class for my best friend and she absolutely loved it. This was her first time learning how to surf. The instructors were great. Doug made the lessons fun and easy to understand, even though some of the moves were hard to do when put into practice. We definitely recommend San Diego Surf. This was the only company we found that provided a 2 hour class; it’s totally worth it! If you’re unsure, book it. You will have fun and make sure to bring your sunblock.

I had a class this morning with my family, and it was awesome! The instructors are very thorough with directions so you know exactly what to do when you get out in the water. They were also super great at helping us feel safe/ prepared and have a great time! Doug and Sal are super fun! Thank you so much it was such a cool experience!!

A group of 13 year old girls in town for a soccer tournament took lessons from Doug and had a fabulous time surfing!! Doug and his helpers were excellent and made surfing easy for these athletic girls!! Highly recommend!
