I have been taking my puppy there now since November and we just LOVE working with Laurie.
She is such a knowledgeable trainer and always has great ideas to help me be a successful dog partner.
We have a pretty wild girl but she loves her Aunt Laurie and is so well behaved for her.
Laurie has lots of patience with both of us.
I'm not sure who gives her more grief but I suspect it's me.
She works so well with all the dogs.
We will continue to attend classes until we get kicked out...hahaha
We just signed up for our 4th package and it's a real hoot.
If you get a new puppy I highly recommend you check out Laurie!

We like when his hair is longer but it's so much more bathing and brushing. He was very overdue this time and had a few mats from our Mexico trip being in his harness most of the time. Maria got him trimmed up very well. Very sweet and kind staff there always.

Fire Mountain Veterinary Hospital
613 Crouch St, OceansideWe discovered an 8 week old kitten hiding under the hood of my car the other day and took her in to Fire Mountain Vet to make sure she was ok. They were more than diligent when having us seen and took great care of our kitten. They even inspired us to give her the name "Turbo" which we loved ?❤️ They also gave us some kitten food and a carrier to take her home in ? all in all we're so grateful for their care and can't recommend taking your pet here enough!

I always feel comfortable leaving her. My only frustration is scheduling. I really don’t mean to be a brat but I get told different things every time. Recently I have been told twice that their last appointments they do (every day) is 4:30 but they advertise on the wall that the office closes at 6. I understand that there has to be availability but, I've been scheduling 5-5:45 appointments since Sept 2023. It’s upsetting to be kinda gaslit when I’m just trying to get care for my dog after I’m off work at 4:30p or 5p. The staff is great otherwise and that’s why we keep going to this location.

She was so thorough and set out a treatment plan to keep her as comfortable as possible. Including physical therapy and meds. The entire staff there is excellent! They have a full compliment of treatments and therapies. They even offer alternative medicine. Highly highly recommend them.

I started here with one of my dogs & we had such a positive experience, we decided to make the change for both our dogs. The office is always clean The staff at Neighborhood Vet is great too btw, my most recent visit I had the pleasure of meeting their intern Camille, & she is a gem that is going to be one of those Vets people become lifelong patients. I truly hope she ends up working as a Vet here too!

Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital
815 College Blvd #102, OceansideI drove here from an hour away because my vet and every vet up in my area was full. My geriatric cat had an upper respiratory infection and it came on so fast and brutal I thought we were going to lose him. Dr Llamas and all of the staff were amazing, same day appointment, I waited less than 5 minutes once I got there, but most importantly, Ivan is breathing and eating again and he is on the mend. He received an IV for dehydration and a course of antibiotics and some prescription food. Very very happy with the care he received here.

2909 San Luis Rey Rd, OceansideGraham and his team at Specialty Dog Training are the call you want to make to disucss the possibility of being matched with an almost indescribable canine companion and/or service dog. Graham knows a lot of things, but two things he knows exceptionally well are dogs, and people. The latter obviousy the harder! But, getting properly matched between person and/or family, with the dog that is most likely to become one of the most important parts of your life... well, how could it be more crucial?? My advice is to make it your first call.
SDT and Graham can trustedly help you figure out this not-so-simple equation. Dealing with the experience and scale of the operatrion has been a pleasure. My neeeds and wants were fairly particular and I was fortunate to spend time at the SDT facility. It is top notch.

After researching, we found ware woof pet resort and couldn't have been happier! Tanya was extremely friendly and accommodating to our dynamic schedule - she was transparent throughout the process and would send picture and video updates of our dog :). Our dog has separation anxiety but felt right at home at Tanya's. Highly recommend ware woof pet resort - we will be going back when we're in the area next! Thank you Tanya!

Chris is truly one of the best. After one hour session of simple eye contact clicker training, door entrance commands and some tracking, JUDAH the next morning was SUPER confident. They always make sure our dog is happy & well accommodated. We rescued a pit bull that was a bait dog in a fighting organization, she was very hard to handle at first & we are extreme helicopter parents with her, PPR is the only place we have ever felt comfortable leaving her at & trusting that they know exactly how to handle her. We couldn't be happier with the services offered here. I'd recommend anyone to use them without thinking about it for a second. Thank you for making being a dog parent so easy!

I feel that it is critical to support the smallest, family-owned businesses as much as possible in the city, and this is what leads me to reviewing Ignite Coffee. Ignite Coffee Co is owned by locals and operated by locals. This traits are what makes the heart of Oceanside businesses. Located on Mission Ave. near the downtown area, Ignite Coffee is right on a main road just blocks away from Oceanside Beach. This makes it a great place to "people-watch" from their open-window seating area. Parking can also often be tricky in the downtown area, luckily there's street parking right in front and around the corner from this café. The interior is very simple & straightforward with ample seating for couples or small groups. They recently opened up patio seating to the rear as well and this adds to their versatility. Ignite Coffee also showcases pastries from other nearby small businesses. This is yet another reason to support this small café, as they are the epitome of best local business practices. Their menu is quite simplistic, featuring all of the basic coffee flavors and also boasting seasonal specials. Service is fast, friendly and even neighborly and they keep everything clean. I personally love getting an "extra dirty" chai latté. All in all, I love Ignite Coffee Co for what they stand for in the Oceanside business community.

Great portions for the price, friendly staff, cozy ambiance that encouraged our family to hang out and take our time enjoying our breakfast. We also ordered the Açaí smoothie and chai latte. The Plot
1733 S Coast Hwy, OceansideThis place was pretty amazing with a cool concept, many of their ingredients come from the garden around and behind the restaurant. The food was delicious and creative. I've never had ketchup made from beets! The decor was relaxing and homey. My only problem is that parking is difficult is limited, and you have to use the alley to access it. The fries were amazing! I wish the "cheese sauce" on top was called "gravy", and they can just call it "poutine"! As cheese sauce, it want good. As gravy, it tasted much better! It also gives you the chance to add more seasoning to the gravy. Lean into it chef! I would go here regularly if I came to Oceanside more often.

I got a latte and the everything breakfast bagel. Both were great, especially the breakfast bagel! The cafe itself was super cute and the owner and barista working were super friendly!!

I can't speak for the food but they do have flatbreads and little apps. The cheese board that someone ordered by us looked really large and shareable and good! They have a wide array of drinks from teas, coffee, mocktails, and other alcoholic beverages!! The vibes are 100... love all the comfy seating lounge areas and the outdoor patio with fire pits. Definitely a fun place to go with a small group and enjoy some vinyl being spun!

2550 Jason Ct, OceansideBlack Plague beat all expectations by leaps and bounds. This place is the definition of cool and the beer is spectacular!! So much so….I bought a t shirt commemorating the Troublemaker IPA.
The space is gigantic, the vibes are a mix of brewery meets cool basement meets Medieval Plague hospital complete with a guillotine.
The Troublemaker (West Coast IPA) and Gothica are two strong recommendations with the emphasis on Gothica.
Worth the long venture from Oceanside, loved my evening at Black Plague!

1334 Rocky Point Dr, OceansideWhat a spot!!! Came in around 8:30pm on a Monday and the bartender was such a stellar dude. Had a great conversation and enjoyed the bar to myself!
Enjoyed their Mexican lager and west coast IPA. Mexican lager was perfect, had that subtle hint of salt & lime that landed just right. The West Coast IPA was solid, not too hazy which was great on the stomach.
With a name like Belching Beaver, had to get a t shirt. Definitely add to your Oceanside/Carlsbad bucket list. A fantastic brewery!

Best Pizza & Brew Oceanside

Pizza slices here are very affordable but I go to Best only during the last hour of their operating hours. You can’t beat discounted $2.50 slices of pizza which you can only get during the last hour of the day and the beer selection is huge. I’ve never been disappointed with any of the beers I’ve tried there. My go to beer is either the Best IPA or Best Hazy.
I’ve ordered a whole pie once before here and you can definitely tell the difference between a hot fresh pie versus their discounted slices at the end of the day. Both are good—A whole fresh pie has great flavor and is a bit more doughy while the discounted slices appear a little flatter. The ranch is homemade for sure. You can tell with how much dill they put in it.
Overall a great spot for pizza and beer.

572 Airport Rd, OceansideVisited several rescues before finding our new fur babies at the Oceanside Humane Society . Besides finding the purrfect kittens we met the most wonderful staff. Donna listened to our lifestyle and what we were looking for in a bonded pair of kittens. She knew exactly which kittens we needed to meet and we fell in love! The facility is incredibly clean and spacious. The animals are well cared for and loved. Everyone we met during the process clearly loves the animals and cares about where they are placed. Thank you Donna for the time you spent listening to us and walking us through the “adoption and beyond” process. You were amazing and we will think of you as the kittens’ “Aunt Donna” always!
