So I've been looking for a new credit union that gives me a sign-up bonus and found their promo online. As of 2/2/24, you can get $200 if you sign up with a direct deposit & meet their other requirements. I printed the promo and brought it with me. I didn't have an appt so I had to wait a bit. James Lewis was very friendly, knowledgable, and answered all my questions. By the time I left, I had my new debit card. I also downloaded the app as I waited in the bank. So far, so good! Also, I did not realize that they were formerly called Pacific Marine Credit Union. You don't have to be in the military to open an account and this branch location is accessible to everyone. It's huge and clean and nearby Kaiser Permanente off of Old Grove.

1-30-24 An unnecessary long day when I tried to renew my cellphone account for three times it couldn't activate my Frontwave debit card. So, I had to wait when the branch opened. It's already strained cause I no longer live in CA but have kept the cards active and my direct deposits open. Well not after today. I should've followed my instincts bc back in July when a very similar situation occurred and Frontwave sent the replacement card by REGULAR MAIL, refusing to do so by FEDEX or UPS. Back then I had NO, CARD, NO MONEY FOR 36 DAYS AND WOUND UP HOMELESS. The police transported me to a DESC (Department of Emergency Service Center who then, almost two weeks later established me temporary living at the shelter. This nightmare was being compounded by someone I thought was a Friend but a prostitute, MJ smoker and meth user where I was stuck living with her and trying to endure the unfit living I was subjected to during this 36-day duration through which Frontwave held the replacement card and my money for all those weeks. When the card did arrive this woman I stayed with never told me it arrived. and setout to use it, to no avail. Thank God I finally got reliable support as mentioned below. ONLY This was through the DESC personnel (Department of Emergency Services) where the police escorted me and they intervened in my behalf with FRONTWAVES AGENTS and DESC assured my card would arrive in 24 hours via FEDEX THAT NEXT DAY. So, imagine my dismay today to find out something was wrong with THAT new card. When I contacted FRONT WAVE they told me they'd BLOCKED that card and it was blocked every since January 8th. My silent response was "oh... HELL no ... NOT again... NOT ANOTHER one of their aggregious transactions. First off FRONT WAVE NEVER CONTACTED ME ABOUT THE BLOCK NOR WHY THEY BLATANT PROCEEDED TO BLOCK THE CARD DUE TO A FRAUD ALERT THEY ACTIVATED BUT AGAIN DID NOT INFORM ME OF. Second, this monstrosity of events is PERMANENT and the BLOCK UNABLE OR BEING REFUNDED TO REVERSE. Third, just as they did back in July they INSISTED NOT TO SEND A THE REPLACEMENT CARD VIA FEDEX OR UPD BUT DEMANDED MY RECEIPT ONLY BY REGULAR MAIL, WHICH OPENS GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR THEFT. Fourth and finally, I would've had to wait at least 7-10 BUSINESS days, no telln... Nor Guarantee. So, instead, I demanded FRONTWAVE MONEY WIRE EVERY SINGLE PENNY THAT HAD JUST POSTED WHICH they always hold prematurely for at least a week accruing lucrative aprs from their customers. They charged me a $25.00 FEE TO WIRE MY MONEY... At the end of the day, my account denotes $0.00 which I prefer until I CLOSE MY FIRST DIRECT DEPOSIT ACCOUNT AS WELL AS MY SECOND, WAITING TO BE REL

No customer service. No compassion to help me resolve my son's account he was active duty and passed recently. Christina in the dept that handles beneficiaries was the most rudest un compassionate human I ever encountered. I wouldn't put a penny in this bank. They are not military friendly, not enough branches just a small cult not following the FDIC . Take your money elsewhere. Run to a bank that values your deceased loved ones.

horrible customer service, was a member because my family talked me into joining but after a couple years or being treated rude, having my account closed twice cause of fraudulent charges I was over it leaving was the best choice. I still get checks from family for Christmas they won't cash them for me when I go in even though it's from the same bank. stay away I take my business elsewhere

I accepted a cashiers check from a member of theirs and go to cash it and they said since I wasn't a member I couldn't cash it. Cesar Cardoza proceeded to lie to me and tell me even if I was a long time member I could only get $3-4k. know that was a lie because there member took out $20k the day before. His solution was to go to a check cashing place. I asked if he could order the money. He said no, not really. I should pay the fee at a check cashing place. What good is accepting a cashiers check. I asked to speak to his supervisor. He told me that he wasn't.. The manager took care of the situation and resolved it the next day!!! The manager and staff had great customer service after the issue get resolved

This place is horrible. Customer service is a joke. They are rude. Not helpful! Ask to many personal questions. Please find a different company to deal with, this has been nothing but a nightmare.

I was working on a mortgage application, and I have to say Hajnalka Calihan, is an extremely hardworking employee. I was a little bit skeptical about it first but she made it very clear and very precise, and outlined all the steps for me. She gave me very good customer service answered all my questions, and no matter how many times I called she was always there for me and was very patient. Great place!

I applied for a loan to purchase a new vehicle. Tyler Hong was really professional and helpful in the process of opening an account and applying for the loan. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the manufactured urgency with which they required documentation from myself in regards to the car I ended up purchasing. I'd been called twice and emailed while I was working and in the middle of some important staff meetings and could not have simply left to deal with that. They gave me about an hours notice that they needed documentation by 11am the same day. Reading some of these reviews, I'm hoping that there aren't any mistakes or issues that could lead my car to get impounded or repossessed. I'm still very new in this process so if there are issues I'll have to come back and revise my review.

HORRIBLE AND I MEAN THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER HEARD OF. My daughter is active duty military and has a loan thru this company for her vehicle. They stated at first that the would not do a split payment to be paid on her pay cycle with the military then all of a sudden decided they could do it. They charge her a late fee ever single month and that late fee has never been the same. They call her 50 times a day if her payment is 1 day late. She made a payment on July 14 and on July 24th they repossessed her vehicle with her children's car seats in the vehicle along with her purse, identifications, and everything else in her vehicle. When she called to get answers they refused to give her any answers passing the buck onto another person. I was on the phone with her when she called to get answers and Maria refused to answer any questions because she had me on the phone with her. Maria wouldn't give us Andre Serano's number or extension to contact him directly and would only put her thru to his voice-mail. They are telling her they require a payment to be made 10 days before her due date. The worst loan company I have ever heard of in my life, the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life, and the rudest most unprofessional employees I have ever come in contact with ever!!! This place should be shut down and everyone fired because of their unprofessionalism. How can u have a mission statement stating u stand behind the military yet will screw over a mother of 2 small children who is active duty. Only giving 1 star because they wont allow me to give ZERO STARS!!!!!!!!!

My wife & I were recently involved in a car accident, unfortunately a DUI driver rear ended us, totaled our car. After much prayer, we visited our local frontwave branch, who were extremely busy that Saturday, yet they scheduled us an apt at the rocky point branch. We were helped by Tyler H, and all I can say is thank God for this amazing worker! Tyler was extremely warm hearted, and made us feel supported by our bank to help us get back on the road after a new auto loan application. Tyler's friendly customer service should be the model for care in our opinion. Thank you frontwave for hiring Tyler, he represents your company well . It's customer service like that that motivates us to want to stay with frontwave. Thank you again.

This branch has gone to the gutters. Probably because of new management trying to save money on toilet paper. They will not let you use the bathrooms anymore. They said somebody did something? If you need to use the restroom use plantery or parking lot management is ok with that.

To say that Leah, Tyler, & Cesar go above and beyond for their members is a complete understatement. I left the branch very upset this past Saturday because of a mistake that was made (Not their mistake specifically). I was ready to jump ship to Navy Fed right then and there. When I came back into the branch for some understanding, the Branch Manager, Cesar, was extremely apologetic and promised to not only to find a way to resolve the mistake immediately, but to also provide a thorough explanation as to what caused it. The matter was resolved in less than an hour. Once complete, Leah helped me complete the process and followed up with me days later to assure me that everything was being taken care of on their end. Tyler is incredibly knowledgeable and detail-oriented. He makes sure to not miss anything that would delay the process or inconvenience the member. They are the Frontwave Dream Team in my eyes. GIVE THEM A RAISE PLEASE!

Been a member for almost 20 years. They say they work with you but they never do. They have gotten to the point where all they do is pass the buck on to someone else. Everytime I call it's a new issue with someone else with is bank. So after almost 20 years I will be finding another bank to do business with.And yet again you all fail. You get my hopes up and then crush them. This a terrible bank. I am disabled vet they are literally forcing into bankruptcy. What a nice bank thanks guys.

Frontwave Credit Union reported me 30 days late IN ERROR and won't fix it. They are costing me perfect credit because they don't want to admit that their online banking system reports incorrect information. I've contacted their Call Center and Lending Department, written letters, everything and they refuse to take ownership. Hours of my time and they won't fix their mistake. Don't believe the false advertising. Worst part is I used to work here so I know how bad their systems are. Avoid at all costs. This credit Union doesn't know what they're doing. Absolutely the worst.
