I am so happy to have found this place. I have been unhappy with the last couple vets I have seen and so was nervous having to find somewhere to take my cat for an eye infection. These folks got me in right away and took such good care of my Belle. Pricing was fair, and I felt confident in the care provided. Everyone there was friendly and I left so happy that I had picked this place out of the few I was looking at.

I have been going to this vet hosp since 2011. This year I noticed they lost all of the doctors I was used to seeing. They also changed their format to one that resembles the VCA clinics, whom I avoid like the plague. I don't like that they now remove your pet to examine them. This makes removes the ability to talk to the doctor as they diagnose your pet realtime. I also prefer to see how my pet is being treated, and don't like the idea that she is being examined in a noisy, scary kennel setup. The prices also seem to have gotten much higher, I didn't find a vet there that I liked after there large personel exodus, so I changed to Oceanside Veterinary Hosp. I they still do things the old fashion way and see to your pet's comfort-and yours.

They are carrying about my two dogs and I would always go back to them. I lost two Golden Retrievers within one week and Pacific had a lot to do with helping me get through it and truthfully I am still dealing with the loss we were well bonded. I you care about you pets you should check them out you won't be sorry.

Was really nervous to take my dog to a different vet but it was worth it! Had to get my dog neutered and his recovery went super well and a lot faster than expected! I really want to thank Dr. Lisek for doing such an amazing dog and taking care of my baby

This place is the absolute best! They saved my pup from death! My dog was not eating and very lethargic. I took him in and in 10 min they diagnosed him correctly and sent us on the way to the ER. The ER vet said he only had hours to live. Their expertise and quick thinking literally saved him! Now we do all of his aftercare there. Katie is amazing and gets us in and out. She is so sweet and caring. Treats my dog like he was her own. She is super attentive and knowledgeable and is very patient with my 1 million questions. Scheduling is a breeze and I love that they always try to help keep costs down. With ongoing care, that is really important. I now take my two cats there too. And who knows, maybe I'll pop in with my tortoise and snake too! Katie loves them all! If you want a vet hospital you can trust, go see Katie and the doctors at Pacific Animal Hospital. You will be grateful you took this advice!

When the time came for me to bring my beloved kitty in to cross the rainbow bridge, my experience here at Pacific Animal Hospital was one of the best and most comforting I've ever had. First off the ladies at the front desk were so knowledgable and kind, they were able to help me very nicely with the million questions I had. Next was my experience with Dr. Lisek, coming in she was very kind and warm, she examined my little guy and we discussed all of our options. She was incredibly thorough and provided me with so much useful information about what he was going through, and how to make him the most comfortable. In the end when we made our decision, Dr. Lisek was very understanding, supportive, and proceeded professionally. Thank you Dr. Lisek and staff for being so wonderful on one of my darkest days.

Pacific Animal Hospital is the BEST!! Not only is the entire team always so kind and engaging but the Vets there truly care about your animal and love them as much as you do. Dr. Jarrah goes above and beyond to make me and my animals feel safe. Can't recommend enough!!

Our American Eskimo Dog (Dolly) had serious gastro challenges for 3 days and Dr. Sarah Nisar passionately examined Dolly and recommended options to help Dolly recover. Dr. Nisar is a great listener with real-world skills at helping maintain our 17 year old dog's health. Thank you for your skills and efforts!

WORST! I do not recommend this Pacific animal hospital. No consideration from the Dr. Amy Jarrah. Brought my sisters dog in for a cytology ear test and X-ray. When I picked the dog up hours later, the doctor was not available to talk to. The assistant? Gave me TrizUltra fluid to drop in the dogs ears twice a day. I asked how was the test and X-ray. The assistant said the doctor will call me the next day. When I got home, I realize the TrizUltra fluid they gave me they charged $49 for. I looked up online just to see what kind of medicine it is for. I found it everywhere for $20 or less. It is dog ear cleaner. I waited for doctor to call me next day with results and also ask about the charges. Doctor never called! I tried calling them again leaving message to have doctor call me. Again, never called back with the dog's test results. So I talked to assistant who told me there is no infection. The liquid is to keep her ears clean. I told her that if it is just ear cleaner I don't want it, especially for $49! She said I have to keep it no returns. It is not fair since I never spoke with the doctor about the dogs condition and what that fluid was for. This animal clinic charges triple the price on their "meds", and also their service. The whole experience was very unprofessional! Do not waste your money. Find a different animal clinic for your pet. This place just wants your money!

I switched vets when Dr Pearson closed in San Marcos. My neighbor recommended Pacific Animal Hospital in Oceanside. Even though there are lots of vets closer to us, he spoke so highly of them that I decided to give them a try. And they are absolutely amazing. They take all the time needed to check your pet, explain to me in great detail what is going on, my options and all potential side effects. They are very thorough and detailed, which I appreciate so much. I am grateful for the entire staff at Pacific Animal Hospital. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

Absolutely love this vet clinic. I have two dogs that needed to be caught up on shots and just have an overall check be done as well as a spay. I took them two separate days as it's just myself and they can be a handful. I got a different vet each times however they were both wonderful! The vet techs were very kind and reassured me every step of the process with the spay.

Dr. Jarrah, Dr. Geerstema and all the staff at Pacific Animal Hospital are the best veterinary hospital we've attended for the past few years. Dr. Jarrah is so compassionate, listens to all my concerns, and genuinely tries to find the best plan of care for my 12 year old senior corgi. Even as I've cried many times in her office she goes above and beyond calling late or as early as possible with test results to ease my anxiety. I have nothing but good things to say about her and all the other vets and staff who've helped my sweet girl Daisy throughout the years. If you are looking for a quality veterinarian hospital who will do their best to help your furry friend, I would highly recommend everyone at Pacific Animal Hospital! Thank you to all of you that have helped me keep my sweet senior lady going strong.-Nancy, Daisy, and Winston.

I was worried reading all the negative reviews so I had to write my personal experience. I had a really good experience at Pacific Animal Hospital yesterday. The receptionists are so very nice and helped accommodate getting my dog in. The techs were quick to put us in a room and the doctor followed in soon after. Her doctor was Dr. Jarra, I believe. The tech's name was Katie. They both were on the exam room floor giving my old lady love during the exam. I thought the extra care they put into everything was very sweet. My girl gets scared at the vet easy but I feel like they really helped ease her anxiety. I appreciate everything that you guys do!!

Where to start...we have been taking our pets to PAH since they were in the little building next door. Dr. Palenscar and Dr. Attix were our vets. Amazing wonderful doctors and then we also would see Dr. Caskey. Sad to say but with the retirement of Dr. Attix and Caskey it was never the same especially after Covid. I am not sure when Thrive bought the place but now it is a money churning machine. We can never get in, hours are shorter, Doctors change frequently. I recently called with an emergency for our dog and was told they could see her in 6 days. We took her to the emergency hospital in Carlsbad and received excellent care. 2 weeks later our dog was having continuous issues so I called for a wellness appointment and to have her stool checked. $537 later we had blood work done and a needle aspiration of a fatty tumor. They took her in the back and came back after about 40 minutes. No evidence blood was drawn at all. I was told I would get a call back in 2-3 days. It has been 7 days and nothing. I am not sure they actually even did anything. The vet was nice but rather nonchalant about everything. My dog is a very anxious dog so we talked about meds to help. For $12 I got 2 small packets of a probiotic. Enough for 2 meals. This is sad as it was once such a great place to take your beloved pets. We will be searching out a new veterinarian for our dog and cats.
