It was my first time at the office and the vet was so nice and helpful. She took the extra needed time to answer all my questions, and my puppy is now feeling 100%. The staff was also very nice as well.

Extremely polite and professional staff at every step of the appointment. Respect for my living situation and my inability to afford the diagnostic services at this time. Charlie was examined and Dr Allison Doherty answered all questions thoroughly. I was given multiple resources for assistance. I will be returning once approved by Feeding Pets of the Homeless. Very kind and compassionate experience in this difficult time for me. Highly recommend

Dr. Allison Doherty is the best! Excellent care for our 16yr old Chihuahua Chuck Norris led to a great experience with the new Chihuahua puppy Regina George. It has proved to be a night and day difference for a happier doggie household. Thank you so much Oceanside Veterinary Hospital.

The entire staff at this office have gone above and beyond to save my 2 fur babies from Parvo! They worked with me any and every way they could. Dr Jon was a great doctor and the assistants were amazing. Thank you Peyton for everything ! I’d highly recommend them, I’d also highly recommend pet insurance. This office was incredibly cautious and careful with spreading the disease, they treated my dogs in the car with the new antibody treatment(which the staff drive out of their way to find for us) they disinfected the ground outside, used proper gowns. They care about our pets and make sure everything is done safely.

I wish I had never taken my dog here. I am surprised by all the positive reviews but need to share my experience. My dog is a former patient of OVH. I took him here since he was 8 weeks old until he was a little over a year old. He had always been fine with shots here and at SD Humane Society, and other exams, easily distracted with treats.
When he turned a year old, he had to get a heartworm test (blood draw). The vet techs took him in the back where I couldn't see him and all I heard were screams from my dog. Much to my dismay, I was told that the techs pinned him down without any distractions in order to draw his blood. On top of this, one of these techs turned it on my dog and started to blame his breed and their "aggressive" nature. I couldn't believe her audacity. If I was a young puppy who couldn't speak English, of course I would be terrified if a bunch of strangers tried to pin me down in order to jab a needle in my arm. Who wouldn't?
Unfortunately this has completely ruined my dog for all vets. I still took him to OVH for a few more visits before deciding to pull him out and find a new vet. I had to purchase sedation meds to sedate him for every visit. Every subsequent visit I was also subjected to hearing from that same tech about his breed, as if it was his fault that he had such a fearful reaction.
I am now left with a dog who is extremely skeptical of the vet, even though my current vet is incredible and patient. I will have to deal with this for the rest of his life, all thanks to OVH and their extremely unprofessional and ignorant conduct.

Dr.Jon has been incredibly kind and thorough with our cat. With something as expensive as teeth cleaning, he was very transparent about cost upfront but didn't press anything on us. Everyone from him to the receptionist Emily have been nothing short of genuine and empathetic. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

I visited Dr Allison for my dog and was great! She and the technician were super friendly, helped us go through the different options we had to figure out what was wrong with my pup, and never pressured me into buying anything. I would highly recommend.

I want to keep this place to myself but I have to share. This place has been reversing the anxiety and fear affect my dogs been put through in other vets and hospital experiences and I couldn't be more thankful to the staff and Dr. Jon for taking such good care of my dog and taking the time to understand her and care for her as if she was there own. If I could give this place a million dollars to just say thank you, I would. This place is golden. Not a single ounce of bad energy here. Every vet should learn the practice that this operation puts forward. I live an hour away and I make the trek because the service and care and consideration beats any other place for me and my fur baby. I LOVE EVERYONE AT OCEANSIDE VETERINARY HOSPITAL, Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!

Nice new facility. Only took one visit to get 2 basic vaccines to see how they pay for it. They seem to treat the pets well, but they charge pet owners through the teeth.

Dr ally is amazing, she is very thorough with her exams and caring with the animals. The staff at Oceanside Veterinary is exceptional. Koko is comfortable with the staff and Dr Ally and that is everything to me!!!
