Before MROC, I never had a coach before. I never went to the gym and I never really exercised or did anything that made me sweaty. But after 5 years of fully embracing MROC and Spartan racing, I am an entirely different person. A much stronger, faster, more confident person who is capable of doing hard, gritty things. I owe all of that success to MROC for being so welcoming, empowering and fun that even when I was an intimidated noobie, I wanted to keep going back. I'm so grateful for the community and the awesome gym Coach Mike and Krista have created in Oceanside. North County is lucky to have MROC! Plus, one of the best things about MROC is how accommodating they were throughout my pregnancy -- I felt comfortable doing scaled work outs prescribed by the coaches even when I was 8 months pregnant because the coaches are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, but they were also very encouraging and didn't hold me back. It was just what I needed and I thank them for that!

This gym has been nothing short of exceptional, and I attribute much of my success to the outstanding coaching team, with special shout-outs to coach Matt and coach Brandon.From the moment I walked through the doors of MROC, I was welcomed with a sense of community that's hard to find elsewhere. I just finished the 3-part obstacle skills training course at MROC. It was invaluable and just what I needed to boost my training for an upcoming Spartan Beast. Brandon is awesome! He’s great at explaining things and is super patient with newbies like me. This course was well worth the investment!

I started the 28 Day Challenge on July 19, 2023 and I love the gym. I found it Googling "Ninja Gyms Oceanside". My favorite part is all of the obstacles, and that is from a 58 year old woman who can't even do a pull up (yet). I am confident the coaches will help me achieve my goals of successful performance of the obstacles. It may take a while but I have already gone from being afraid to do a 12" box jump to performing multiple reps on the 16" box, barely able to hang my full body weight to traveling 5 rungs on the monkey bars, and never flipping a tire to flipping the 300lb tire twice. The coaches are fantastic following the WOD (Workout of the Day) with their corrections and advice on movements in the gym for the last 2 months I see little improvements everyday which keeps me motivated and the best surprise was being able to descend stairs pain free. In the past the pain in my knees was excruciating. I have to admit my muscles have been sore ever since I started but it's a good kind of satisfying feeling that comes from hard work. The other members are great too, encouraging and lifting each other to better performance. Even when I don't feel like working out I know I am going to leave ther feeling fantastic. Exhausted but fantastic.

Great gym for all kinds of goals. I was fat and slow...now I'm just slow ?. If you show up, they'll help you get it done, I get faster every month! Obstacle course skills, running acumen, fitness goals, a no judgement community of classmates, and coaches supportive of your goals. If you want to get faster, conquer OCRs or have a challenging workout in a fun environment with unique workouts this is the spot! I'm excited to keep tearing through my goals and setting PRs here

I’m happy I found this place. Signed up for their Saturday obstacle course simulation class and I’ve been hooked. One of the best gyms I’ve been to! Wish I didn’t wait so long to join. The atmosphere is a really motivational and the coaches are always willing to help and push you to your limit. They constantly help with proper form and technique so it’s like having a personal trainer in a small group setting. I’ve been working out for years and have been to a few OCR gyms and this one def has everything you can imagine as far as equipment/obstacles. If you are in the San Diego / Ocean side area definitely check this place out.

Love this gym! Started here a few weeks ago and I feel like I have gained an instant gym family. Everyone is so kind, welcoming, and encouraging. I love the overall positive vibe at MROC and all the people I've met so far. If you are looking for a place to workout definitely give this place a try!

I can start by saying that this gym has been nothing but welcoming since the beginning! they are the best gym there is and I just love the variety of workouts they have! they challenge me to the next level of my workouts and this has been exactly what I been looking for! I love tough and challenging workouts. I also enjoy meeting new people and being sorrounded by an amazing community! I have no words to express how thankful I am that I have found this gym! I live in Escondido and I am willing to commute and when I see quality I stick to quality and that's what this gym is all about! they are so friendly and culturally diverse. I enjoy coming to coach Brandon's classes every time! He is the BEST coach, he is knowledgeable in all the workouts. I love that he focuses on me and others to ensure we don't get injured and that we are properly making sure we are doing the workouts correctly. Also since I am still knew at the gym I enjoyed coming to coach's Matthews class as well and getting to know him in how he does his classes and I loved his workouts too. I can't wait to do more classes with both of them and get to meet other amazing trainers and meet amazing people in the community! Thank you, much love, Rose

The. Best. GYM. Around! Yes, seriously! MROC is the best gym around!I would describe MROC as a unique gym with a fun mix of obstacle course training (think Spartan, Deka, Hyrox etc.), cross-fit, and HIIT workouts. Every workout starts out with a dynamic warm-up then goes right into a creative program that blends all the above training principles. It is fun, yet very challenging. Each day of the week presents a new workout so you wont be stuck doing the same things day by day. I think the coaches enjoy finding new ways to physically whip you into shape ;)The coaches I have taken classes with (Brandon, Michelle, and Matt) are great athletes who actively compete in various OCR races and are also extremely knowledgeably about fitness, obstacle course training, and strength and conditioning techniques. They strive to ensure safety and proper lifting techniques are applied. Their goal is to make sure you get a good workout in but without injury.If you are looking to run in a Spartan, Tough Mudder, Deka, or Hyrox competition. MROC is the place to train at.If you are looking to get in shape while surrounding yourself with awesome and encouraging people. MROC is the place to train at.Whatever your goals are. I took the Spartan Obstacle Specialist Course at MROC and it was an amazing experience as an athlete. I am looking to compete at a more Elite Level in OCR and this workshop was exactly what I needed. I am in the gym 6 days a week, but this class offered skill training in obstacles such as monkey bars, twister, carrys, running technique, Olympus etc. that you just don’t get time to practice unless your in a race. Not to mention OCR strategy tips from the coaches! Would recommend 10 outta 10.Bonus, the coaching staff was kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming to those who train and MROC or just come in for the short course.

I participated in the Spartan Obstacle Specialist class at MROC this past Sunday. I learned a lot of techniques about different obstacles and was able to try several that I have never been able to complete before. The coaches were helpful and knowledgeable and the members were all very supportive and welcoming. I signed up for the 28 day trial and I'm looking forward to learning more. This is an awesome environment for anyone looking to improve their strength, and learn new skills for obstacle course races.
