Beware! This auto-wrecking yard has really changed. Was just there today and was shocked at the prices. First of all, they have raised the entry fee to $5.00. All other LKQ Pick Your Parts store I've been to (Riverside, Ontario, Rialto, San Bernardino, etc) still charge $3.00. And that's just the beginning. I needed a hood release cable for a RAV 4 and when I went to check out was told it was $28.56! I said I didn't need the warranty, which they always try to add, and he said it would be $24.56. Needless o say I didn't purchase it.I just bought a brand new one on Amazon for $16.80. It's not an OEM but it's from Dorman's and I've never been disappointed with their products. If it doesn't work Amazon will take it back.Do yourself a favor and make the drive North to one of the other LKQ's and you'll save a bundle.

Pricing is ridiculous. To start, you must pay $5 dlls to enter the yard. The part prices were the same regardless which car you took it from; now the price varies per car, year, model, left side or right side. I been shopping here for years , but they are pushing customers away.

Their prices have tripled and they all around just suck to deal with, can't get anyone on the phone. Horrible company

The yard is very organized, but the prices are a little high. They got me on the warranty charge. Had I known about the option to decline I would have done so. Also the prices they charge are set non negotiable. They should charge on the condition of the parts.

This one goes to the new manager. You probably have me confused with someone from your ordinary daily customer demographic, someone below average on the lower end of the spectrum on the totem pole. When hours say closing at 5pm, that means AT 5PM, not 4:45 or 4:50. The business is technically open UNTIL AT THE TIME said. The Company and employees are responsible for staying and handling closing procedures after closing time, during AFTER HOURS and not doing so beforehand. Do you understand? If it was a new employee making this mistake I would understand, but it was you personally doing it, and you didn't even have the guts to make an eye contact while making wrong moves. I have been coming to that yard for 20+ years and have seen bigger fish than you come&go. Consider this a friendly warning, next one will be from your Corporate Human Resources department also to address other shortcomings.

Horrible prices very high price so better to buy from junkyard ready parts and warrantylKQ they bought the car from 500-900$ and they sale couple parts from that car and they return the 900$ so at less if they have mercy or if they have god they have to lower the prices but I don’t think soPlus if you want to call they don’t have phone number to check if the car in that yard available or not sometimes I drove 100 miles and what about if the car not available after that long way ?They are not organized

Used to be a good value for parts, original and aftermarket sometimes. Found an aftermarket radio with navigation and thought the price was reasonable compared to new. I've bought radios before and never had an issue but this is ridiculous. The wire harness that plugs into the back of the radio they called "miscellaneous" and charged me for it separately from the radio. It's bad enough they assume you want the 90 day "warranty" and tack on that price without asking, but for the actual harness that comes with the radio when you buy it in order to make it connect to your vehicle,is bs. It's like a car dealership selling you tires and charging for the lug nuts and wrench that automatically comes included. Or a taco place selling you a taco but no shell. I can understand if it was an actual "miscellaneous" harness like between the body and the tail lamps or somewhere under the console, but the one that is necessary to connect your vehicle to the radio is price gouging at its finest. The fact I had to drive over an hour to go get his radio, I could've saved my gas money and headache and ordered it online and got everything I needed to install it into my car without extra charges. Thanks for being such customer friendly in this inflation ridden economy with California gas at a stupid $6-$7 for regular unleaded. More price gouging through monopoly. If I never have to buy a part here again, it'll be too soon.

I never post anything but with my experience today 9/15/2023 , I have to make this post publicly to help others. First of all just to enter the junkyard you have to pay a $3.00 fee, so I checked their website for a 2010 Toyota Corolla, which the website says they have 2 of the 2010 Toyota Corolla available a white one and a silver one. The white one shows heavily front end damage and the silver one shows in good shape to include the hood which is what I told them that I was looking for. So I was told where the car was located at which was correct but when I got there the silver Toyota Corolla had no front end at all so I took a picture of the car so that they could update their inventory and they refused to update their inventory, I was just trying to help them so that people going in would not be deceived but it seemed to me that that’s the way they trick or con people into paying for something that was probably taken off months or weeks before you get there so I was very disappointed by the scam that this place is running so if there’s a way to report this establishment to the better business bureau please help, I posted a picture so that you can see the complete front end and hood that in their website says that is there

The website says $22 for a plastic intake tube and $35 for the intake air box. No filter. They tried to charge me $95 for them. Subaru parts online charges $89 for the assembly new. They don’t even honor their own websites prices.

Beware this company will charge you for a warranty. They don't even bother asking you if you want it or not. When you go up to pay for your item be sure to say that you don't want a warranty otherwise you'll get screwed. This is their biggest scam.

Gas tanks are listed for sale on the website, they even come with a "warranty". Why then would you drill holes in all of the gas tanks??? Waste of my time and effort

They should said that they closed at 4:50pm because I got there for a return and they told me that it was closed. Also their staff members should have more training because the told me that some of my item I have to return them back to Chula Vista Yunk Car. They just don't want to deal with the paperwork they suppose to deal until the end of their shift.

Just want to say to be careful when paying for your parts. They will add the warranty to your total with asking you. You need to tell them before you pay. They should have signs up say to ask for warranty. The guy at the the gate said most people know, I didn't know.

Last weekend I went there 2 days and spent $15 on entry fees for me and my buddies. The vehicles that they showed online in Oceanside said that the parts would match my vehicle. Come to find out neither one of the parts matched what I had and I tried to return both parts. So they give you 2 receipts a gate receipt and a window receipt and I was somehow missing one of them and they are identical receipts. Right now I am in battle with John from corporate in LA and waiting for his phone call so I can get my money back on the window receipt that I have. 3 days ago it was supposed to be turned into a manager and they were supposed to contact me. I had to call them once again and they said they were going to send out another email. As of today I still have the receipt for the part the sticker on the part and they will not refund my money as of today. Was on hold for 25 minutes to tell me that they were going to call John. John I guess is the district manager of California so we'll see if he returns my call.So the memorial of the story is, do not misplace your gate receipt because the regular employees stick to their protocol.John the district manager did get in touch with me and I did get a full refund today from the Oceanside wrecking yard. Martin is the one that handled my receipt and everybody was very polite at the front. Also if you know the part you are looking for, that will help out immensely before you get to the yard. I highly recommend LKQ in Oceanside.

Horrible experience!I went to the Oceanside location for a module I need for my truck. I went in, paid the admission fee and looked for and found the part I needed. Then I went to the cashier's window to pay for the part. No one was there to take my payment and when I asked if there was someone available I was told that the cashiers were on lunch and they'd be back in 45 minutes. I couldn't believe this! So I decided to leave the place and asked the guy at the entrance to refund me the admission fee. He said: "Sorry, we can't do that." What kind of business does this? This people have no regard for the customers that keep their business open and feeds their employees. As for me, this was the last time I set foot in this joint. This was robbery and a total waste of time. F#$@&* them!!
