I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marbella in Oceanside, and I'm happy to share my experience. I grew up in Oceanside and needed the perfect place for my partner and I to enjoy a weekend getaway. This was perfect! The room was clean, well-stocked with the essentials and even pots, pans, and other kitchen necessities, making it feel like a home away from home. The room itself felt very spacious, offering the comfort of a small apartment that you'd be happy to stay in for a long while. The interior was all updated with a nice modern and beachy aesthetic. There is a large deck to enjoy the views of the strand with a nice fireplace and a grill too! The other residents were super friendly and respectful during our stay. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves thoroughly. For anyone considering a peaceful getaway by the ocean, the Marbella should definitely be at the top of your list! I will certainly be staying here again. Cheers!

Great place for vacation, need to know there are steps to climb, apart from that nothing to complain about!

After following the Marbella on social media I booked a 2 night stay. I always like to try out vacation rentals and airbnbs as much as possible to help small business versus the hotels if possible. This is my long, but honest review. The check in time of 4pm really was tough as I got there early and I had to tote my heavy suitcases around downtown Oceanside as you cannot check in early. Check out time is 10am which is a tad earlier than other places I stayed. Toting my suitcase was not too big of a deal but just a smaller inconvenience at the start of my stay. When dropped off at the entrance of the Marbella, I was concerned as the overall look of the outside of the place did not seem to fit with the feeling I get when looking at their social media outlets.Upon checking in the code would not work as the door locking system seem to be in need of repairs. I called management and he was very friendly and responsive and told me I needed to lift up the handle etc. This worked but was not ideal as I had to do this every-time. I understand being that close to the ocean corrodes things faster but I think switching out the locks before they become an inconvenience to the customer is just part of ownership. Again just another minor inconvenience. The room was nice, nothing special to be honest. The bathroom was tiny and the shower even smaller. The place definitely needed some repairs and updates. The toilet paper holder kept falling out of the wall when using, but my biggest issues was the lack of blackout curtains. There were plastic blinds that were on the 2 large windows in my room and the light coming in from the outside during the night lit up the room which made it impossible to have a good rest even with the ocean sounds. I also felt uncomfortable as the blinds did not provide too much privacy as other visitors walked by or stood outside smoking. I was traveling solo so not having the security of an additional window covering was not ideal for me in my opinion and I would have preferred a little extra "layer" for peace of mind and a more sound sleep. The location was great and I find that a lot of airbnbs/vacation rentals rely on this without taking into account other issues and updates that need to be addressed in the space to get recurring bookings and people wanting to stay again and again. The last complaint I had was the ants. There were a ton of them under the sink in the kitchen. I should have called management but honestly, I felt that in my 2 day stay if I called management as many times needed, I would have been on the phone for most of my stay inside the room. I am not the person that complains easily and it is not shown with this review, but am pretty easy going. After my stay at the Marbella, I headed to a nearby large hotel where I stayed for the rest of my vacation in Oceanside. I won't say the name of the hotel but my stay there was the opposite experience than I had at the Marbella. After all said and done, I hate writing reviews that are less than 5 stars but felt it was necessary. I really prefer to give my business to smaller vacation rentals/airbnbs when possible, but this really did not suit.I will say looking at the other reviews of the Marbella, it does look like they do take in account what is said as I see they have added some things mentioned in some of the other reviews. I am sure it is tough owning a vacation rental/airbnb as competing luxury hotels are nearby but I think that should push these smaller places to be as great as they can be. A couple of inconvenience's here and there are common, but for me I am sorry to say, it was one too many.

My wife and I recently celebrated our 1 year anniversary at Marbella vacation rentals, and we couldn't have been happier. The location is unbeatable, rooms are clean and staff is easy to coordinate everything with. We'll certainly be staying with Marbella vacation rentals again here very soon!

Overall: Our stay was incredible! Everything was as expected or better. I couldn’t recommend this place more if you’re looking for a spot right next to the beach! If you do your research, you’ll know that the beach may be really rocky in some parts. Wear some water shoes or walk 10 minutes toward the pier where it’s softer. The only problem we had was drying our shower towels out well. They don’t dry hanging in the bathroom too well but I found a small fan in the room that we left on for a while to help dry them out.The area (not the building) can be a little noisy at night, so if you’re a light sleeper bring some ear plugs.Parking was simple even though we had an oversized vehicle that wouldn’t fit the garages. Management provided us with a parking pass for the street directly behind the building which seemed to always have a spot within a 5 minute walking distance from the stairs leading to the building.

Beautiful view, large open patios with propane fires places on each patio for those cooler evenings. Kitchens on each floor and bathrooms in every room. Outside shower for after the beach and complimentary beach towels for use. Wo derful place to bring the whole family together.

Location is awesome, the rooms were smaller than expected but it was workable. Clean room, nice bed, small but usable kitchen. Shower was low flow and took about 5 minutes for the hot water to get to the tap, management should look into on demand hot water.Parking worked out but wasn't clear in the description and a little confusing until we got to the room. Basically you park on the road.Beach access is immediate and about .5 miles from the pier, a very nice beach walk.I would stay again without hesitation, for the price its a better deal than almost anywhere on the beach.

(Location) Absolutely STUNNING views from the corner King room #307. Literally steps from the beautiful rocky end of Oceanside beach. Walk just a few minutes and you can reach the sandy area and a park, and of course, the famous pier. If you can bring the gear, a bike and a shade tent is the way to go if you’re staying at this end of the beach. This part of town is best navigated by bike, so that would be a bonus. Also within walking distance is a bodega-type grocery store. But I had to make a car trip to Frazier Farms to stock up on actual groceries (produce, bread, quality food ingredients). You’re also a short walk away from great restaurants and the gorgeous new hotel properties right on Pacific St. Grab a cocktail at the ocean-facing bar at the Seabird. Also, The Strand is pedestrian-friendly for a walk, bike, skateboard, rollerblades, etc… Saw lots of cute dogs on their morning walks.(Ambience) You have the beautiful white noise of the ocean waves. But, The Strand (the street that Marbella is situated) can be quite “bustling” on holidays and weekend nights. This street is a place to “cruise” and “be seen” so you might hear loud music and engine revs, however, all of that calmed down by 10/11pm at night though and it was actually pretty fun to people-watch.(Parking) VERY tight garage parking — If you can find a parking spot on Pacific St, it’s easier to get into the third floor units with groceries. But it’s also very good to know that on a busy weekend, you can pop your car into the garage if there’s zero street parking. Just go realllly slow so you don’t knick your mirrors. For reference, I was driving an EV Ford compact rental car and I was fine.My unit #307 has the following:(Kitchenette) Keurig coffee maker with starter coffee pods, cream/sugar packets, electric tea kettle, paper towels, dish soap, sponge, 2 free bottled waters in the mini-fridge, salt/pepper, and all dishes & utensils that you would need for a short stay.(Bathroom) Hand soap, shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower, lots of towels including black “makeup” washcloths, toilet paper, hair dryer, but bring your own Kleenex! Bathroom also has a good working exhaust fan.(Room) Included 4 beach towels, a small fan, and an iron/tabletop ironing board, and a luggage stand.(Property Amenities) See photos for all the beach gear you could want: “backpack”-style beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys, a couple of umbrellas, etc. — all for use during your stay, first come first serve basis. I wanted to call this out especially because I wasn’t sure what type of beach gear would be here at the property.(Very minor inconveniences) The bathroom is tiny, I would recommend bringing a hanging toiletry bag as there is not a lot of countertop space. Also, there is no closet, no hangers. When I arrived, I noticed some small clothing style racks (with hangers) outside some of the rooms from previous guests that housekeeping had set out - these apparently don’t come “standard” to the rooms, you must have to request one. I ended up not requesting one, and just lived “out of my suitcase” and used the little cubby/closet to fold my clothes. The front patio of the property is pretty cute, but unfortunately the chairs actually aren’t that comfortable, which is a real bummer. I also agree with some other reviewers that the bathroom towels need a closer eye to retire the ones with stains. Also, the Keurig coffee maker needs a good deep-clean. Lastly, as a note to management: there needs to be a manual on how to turn on the induction stovetop - I even tried to find a manual online or a YouTube video, but I couldn’t figure out how to use it. I ended up not wanting to fuss with contacting someone over something so small.(Overall) I really enjoyed my stay here and even chatted with some of the longer-stay residents. The location absolutely cannot be beat, and for reference, I was looking into Robert’s Cottages, but they are SO expensive. All in all, I would recommend Marbella and I had a great stay!

Very nice and updated. Don't bring anything bigger than a Palisade, which is what we have, the garages are tight. ButI do recommend, especially if your a fan of Animal Kingdom. Baz house is like 6 properties down.

Great weekend getaway. Everything close by. And how awesome to be able to sit right in front, and record dolphins swimming.
