The Sauna stinks!!! It's been over a month that I've told the front desk with no changes. Its smells musty, and it needs to be cleaned more often. Until this changes ill leave these 2 stars.

New to the area and trying out the local gyms. Was excited to check this one out because I heard good things but they wouldn’t offer a trial period to see if was the right gym for me and wouldn’t let me walk around without scheduling a tour.

Not a single employee was friendly or even slightly polite to me the two times I went in regarding hiring. The workers barely looked at me and clearly didn't want to talk to me. The tall white male employee refused to give me a tour after I said I wanted to work out and get a job there, he said since I wasn’t paying for a membership right then he didn’t want to help me.
He obviously has no manners but worse I went back again to see if my job application was considered and another worker this time a short female with dark hair didn’t even tell me she was a manger when I asked for a manger. She said they weren’t hiring even though there was a sign out. I said you are hiring there is a sign out. She then asked what I wanted, a part time or full time job and I said part time, she then told me they weren’t hiring part time people.
I guess these immature, rude and overall mean spirited employees gossiped about me from my first encounter with the same man beside her who denied me a tour and she denied my hiring as well just by looking at me today.
Discrimination is no joke, this place is embarrassing, the manger Jourdan over the phone almost defended these poor excuses. LA Fitness needs a manger who hires decent people for god’s sake. All the employees so far I have seen have no business working in customer service with their piss poor communication and lack of basic manners evidently these workers are miserable gossipers too.

I give him a 5 out of five but these people in there no one takes a shower before they swim or get in the jacuzzi think of the hundred of people and if three years fell out for each one of them that would be a hair ball, Band-Aids

I was a member at this club over 6 years ago. At that time I changed clubs because the competitor had better amenities; however, I heard this La Fitness made some changes to their club and wanted to check it out again to consider joining again. Sadly, the GM JORDAN, refused to give me a simply one day guest pass to try the club out after 6 years of not stepping foot in the club. Her reasoning is I was a member in the past but the club has had many upgrades since then and nobody should join a gym without first working out there. Why didn’t Jordan give me a guest pass. I hope LA Fitness sticks to this policy and NEVER gives any guest passes to any former members even if 5 or 10 years ago. If LA fitness does they will show different treatment and that wouldn’t be fair nor right. Filing a complaint with the local San Diego BBB just so this is a matter of record of the bad treatment. Terrible customer service, Jordan. Do better! You lost a possible lifetime customer because you didn’t let me workout one day as I WAS considering changing gyms.

I like this gym a lot. Always busy but not overwhelming. Middle is the day is pretty good. Always sufficient machines to use and weights. Personal trainer available, courts available to play and rooms for classes. Pool and hot tub also available.

This is a great gym offering many options for group workouts,which is my focus.great value for the cost of the monthly dues.I particularly enjoy the spin classes.great atmosphere,very clean and spacious gym and friendly staff members!!!!

Old men constantly parade around the locker room naked and hit on me (and I am not an attractive person). Shitty instagrammers constantly take selfies in the locker room with people changing in the background. Have made frequent complaints to the staff and it's clearly not enforced. This is clearly not a safe space to work out at and the staff and/or management could care less. Surprising as it's apparently a flagship location.

This gym is a flagship location. The staff is extremely professional and the facility is well run. The patrons are serious about their workouts and they get their money's worth. I was only a guest, but if I lived near this gym I would join in a heartbeat.

Clean gym, great classes, and never too crowded. My issue is management. I was working out on a cardio machine and the cleaning crew proceeded to mop the floor in front of me. Meanwhile, I'm literally trying to catch my breath with cleaning product fumes I'm inhaling. I asked to speak to management, and she immediately got defensive! I asked why were they cleaning the floor while people were on the machines and she just proceeded to tell me they had no other time otherwise, they would have to shut that area down, she kept cutting me off. No sympathy, no "I'm sorry about that with reason of why"... Just defensive and rude. She clearly has poor management skills. Her communication style was off putting and dismissive. So basically, my gym session smelled like cleaning products topped with a stank attitude. Not the vibe.
