In September of 2022 my teenage son went on a website claiming to be Best Buy Geek Sqad to get his Ear Buds fixed. The website ended up being fake and a scam and had him go buy gift cards to pay for the repair. He called me and was confused and told me what happened. I immediately called Best Buys gift card line and explained what happened. I was told they were able to flag the cards and the purchases that were made by the scammers. I was told to call back with the case number 2959920 if I didn't hear back from someone from Best Buy. I did eventually hear back and was told the purchases were intercepted and my son would receive a gift card in the mail for the amount ($500). I waited for a month and never received any cards in the mail so I called back and was told the gift cards were sent to an email address. The email address did not belong to me or my son. I believe the gift cards were sent to the person working at Best Buy. I believe my son was also scammed by the employee at Best Buy. I was told again they would look into it and get back to me from corporate. I called about 20 times and not able to get my son's money. The cards were canceled after the scammers made purchases,so there was a 0 balance, but the purchases were intercepted by Best Buy and never sent to the scammers. Best Buy kept the amount from the gift cards and the items. So they are now the ones scamming my son out of his money? No one will even call back and deal with this and I can't get a hold of any one in a actual store to help. I've asked to have a regional manager call me and no response for over a year. I've just been strung along. I filed a complaint with the BBB and finally a rep Carlos from the corporate office called He was no help he told me I needed to contact the original store. Which I did and they let me know the money was never refunded by Best Buy, the cards had a 0 balance. So this million dollar corporation is scamming my son out of 500 dollars. Merry Christmas Best Buy you suck.

I had no problem with items I purchased but the poor rating is a result of how Best Buy handles disputes about delivered goods. My items were delivered to the wrong address by the carrier and rather than help me resolve or look into it, they left us to figure out what happened and get our items back. Just was a word of advice if you order on line for delivery--if your package is stolen or lost by the carrier it will be up to you to figure out how to fix it.

The worst costumer experience I've ever had in my 51 years in life. It was insane. To make a king story short, I had to waste hours and hours going back and forth to 2 Best Buys because they lied to me and said I had to go speak to the other manager, they lied multiple times saying it would take 2-3 days as I went in for something minor, and each time I had to wait for 5-6 days and my lab top had worse and worse issues. I called multiple times. I have never been a complainer but this is outrages! I wish I can give them a 0 . I would take it maybe to another place or small business ...

Nate is great. He helped me out, was prompt and explained everything that was going on. He’s definitely a technical expert and gave me the impression he knew what he was doing. He also helped me find supplies that i need in the store. If i need computer help I’m returning, hopefully when he’s available!!!

Not sure which one is worse, Best Buy or my Green works Blower I recently purchased 28 days ago. My battery charger stopped working so I walked into Best Buy hoping to swap it out. They told me I would have to deal with Green works due to it being past the 15 day policy. Been trying to get a hold of green works both by chat and by phone, going on about 2 hours with no luck. I should have know to only buy from Amazon or Costco due to the refund policy and quality of equipment. Best of luck to the next victim.Update: Answer to the first question above is ...Drum Roll....Best Buy. Green Works customer support is very easy and made everything smooth sailing and able to get me a battery charger in 5-14 days. Green Works: 4 starsBest Buy: 1 star

Friendly staff, but the unfortunate truth is they are not helpful. I have paid for their subscription for quite a few years and they have only successfully helped me once.

Customer service at the Oceanside location is so poor that it cannot register on any reasonable metrics. The sales associates regularly ignore you while typing away on their little devices. You need to exactly what you want and where it is at this location. If you should happen to find the article of your search, you will still need to try to get the attention of the sales associate who clearly doesn't want to talk to you. I said previously that I would never do business with them again. My only reason for being here today is because I received a gift card for Best Buy. I think I will return it to the giver and have my electronic needs fulfilled by Amazon.

I don't know why we don't learn. Don't buy anything from Best Buy. We have purchased TVs, washer, dryer and other stuff. When the TV was delivered the guy said not to bother using the remote that came with the TV. Dude! The remote controls ALL the 'smart' functions.But here is the most frustrating: Our Washer and Dryer are still under warranty. The washer leaked some suds and we called and it took about 4 days for their 3rd party to come (after speaking to about 5 people in countries where English is NOT their first language.) Anyway, they came and fixed the washer. But the dryer had an issue illuminating the sensor for lint. And we couldn't do it the same day, we had to make ANOTHER appointment.Ok...playing their game. The communications were good and we appreciated that. We would have given them 5 STARS had this not happened: They 'fixed' the dryer. The next day I went to dry some clothes and it simply turned off after 3 seconds. I tripped the circuit breaker....still didn't work. I called the number and after many messages back and forth and BEGGING for them to come back they arrived and 'fixed' the issue. They had 'forgotten to 'plug in a plug'. They put it in place but didn't plug it in. Well, we are all human. BUT, there was no apology! For some reason an apology would have been appropriate. Like: hey, we are so sorry. And sorry for the inconvenience. I suppose apologies aren't necessary any more. Where are your manners?

Their auto dept is the best for helping elderly people to pair up their phone and car. I took my mom here when we could not figure out how to pair her phone with her car. Verizon was the worst. They sold her the phone and would not pair it up with her new phone. They are not allowed to leave the store.They told her to go to Best buy, who paired it up for her and didn't charge her anything. It was 100% customer service.We bought our new kitchen appliances from them. I had no idea that they did auto stereo installation too. Now they can add phone to auto pairing.Thank you Geek squad!

My local Best Buy. Ordered up a Nintendo switch OLED for pickup. They make it nice and easy. Bought it in the morning and picked it up a couple hours later. Noah helped me out at the counter and was super cool. I had to come back and buy a game and he checked me out again. Nice and friendly employees make it more pleasant when I'm spending all my hard earned cash on games and electronics! I'll definitely be back again.
