I was here for 4 years, left for a year, came back and this gym is not as clean as it used to be. The turf is disgusting and there's so much dust everywhere compared to how it used to be. If it wasn't a mile away from my house I'd probably go somewhere else. At least there's a variety of machines and snacks.

Everything, Cleanliness, broken equipment, idiots taking pictures of themselves in locker rooms, people sitting on equipment while reading their phones, people taking multiple machines or weights, and always way too crowded, management does nothing. All they care about is selling memberships and personal training sessions. I would put zero stars if I could.

Avoid This Gym at All Costs! If I could give zero stars, I would. I signed up for a membership at this gym and made sure to follow their exact instructions to cancel when I no longer needed it. Despite this, they failed to cancel my membership and continued to charge me after my husband got orders out of state. Now, I'm stuck with a bill for over $300 for a membership I haven't used or wanted! Their customer service is non-existent. I've called, and they seem to not care or take responsibility for their mistake. Instead, I get the runaround and am told there's "nothing they can do" and pay all that money! They first went on to say I have to go in person to cancel and after I told them that I did, then proceed to say you should of called their billing department. Which one is it? This gym is a complete scam. They trap you with contracts and make it impossible to cancel, even when you follow their policies. I had a perosanal trainer, and they told me that I could cancel anytime then when i tried to cancel they said I'm in a 3 month contact and they could not cancel it! All lies!! Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place unless you want to deal with unnecessary stress and wasted money. If you do decide to get a membership and cancel make sure to get some type of confirmation that it was ACTUALLY cancelled. This place also smells really bad! I had to hold my breath everytime I'd go into the womens bathroom, and decided to go to the Ladera Ranch location because it was exremely over crowded. Even though it was a bit farther it was worth it.

The encinitas gym is great. The people are so friendly. There is one cleaning lady who keeps the place spotless. Love my trainer and the staff will help you with any questions or issues.

I upgraded my membership and ever since I began paying more $$$ for classes my App has been broken and I cannot register for classes --because my App doesn't work. This is extremely frustrating to pay for a gym membership to attend classes; only not to be able to get what I'm paying for because the app doesn't work; yet I'm still paying my increased membership fees. I really need help and all I get is told to email the offsite IT email address and then nothing happens. This is so frustrating!!!! This needs to be fixed ASAP!!!

I've been a member of EOS in Oceanside for almost a year now and was previously at Planet Fitness for 6 years (and other gyms before that) so I have experienced different gym settings. While I am grateful that EOS is such a good size and well maintained facility with many equipment options, the insane number of members who sit on the machines just reading their phones/ texting is frustrating enough that I'm considering finding a new gym. Last week I actually clocked a guy sitting on one machine texting for over 45 minutes! Not one movement towards working out other than with his thumbs on his phone! There are so many employees who stand around the entrance visiting with each other and who sit at the desks looking around. Couldn't someone walk the floor once in a while and remind members to move to a bench if they want to sit around and use their phones? Another idea is to post signs about phone usage? Some of us actually go to work out and have a tight schedule. Please help with this EOS! I've spoken to other members and they have all noticed this as a big problem as well.

You will join but have to die in order to leave!!! Still being charged 2 YEARS LATER. With supposed "No notes", and 700 dollars later! BEWARE.

This is the best gym I've been to! I had low expectations because the other eos locations have been dirty and crowded but I was pleasantly surprised at how upscale this location is. The membership is also cheap for what you get. The bathrooms and machines are clean, it isn't too busy, and it's overall a positive environment. I love how there is a separate sauna for men and women (it doesn't smell bad ). This gym is big and has a lot of different areas to work out. I enjoy having the highest membership for the massage chairs and recovery room. However, the massage chairs are broken half the time. I'm moving and am genuinely so sad I can't come here anymore!

Gym itself is actually pretty good. Unfortunately it's run by a bunch of scam artists - who keep taking unauthorized payments out of your bank account. DO NOT sign up for personal training. THEY WILL repeatedly take money out of your bank account - even after they agree to cancel the sessions. Then they won't take your call and never call you back

By far one of the cleanest gyms in local area surroundings and that for me is a plus.

Sorry but the smart phone app STILL does not work. I wrote a review complaining about this about 6 months ago. Today I still cannot get it to work. Clients are told to use the app to sign up for classes, but can't. the poor instructors are still burdened with manually taking roll. The instructors and classes are great but EOS needs to change their policy or fix the app.

Great classes (though they're often uncomfortably packed). You can't beat the price. Great value for classes, lots of cardio equipment (with good ceiling fans), a movie room with cardio equipment. The only negatives (that I've told the management about via a survey) is that the stretching and core area usually have mismatched, or missing, free weights - drives me nuts! The other thing is if you're going there to only do free weights, be prepared for a lot of muscle and fitness guys (& women in lots of spandex) dominating the area, staring at their phones even when they're done working out. The last thing is if you're going there for a class, plan to get there at least 15 min early or more bc the parking lot is always PACKED!!! I have no idea why but it's been extremely frustrating some mornings trying to find a parking spot at 7:45 am!! But again, good value.

So disappointed I've had my membership for about a month and I've only been able to go on occasions every time I walked into the gym it's packed like a concert filled with teenagers in their pajama pants and crocs, backpacks and all hanging around machines, groups of four or more you can't even work yourself in for a set. When I signed up, I asked a gentleman. Please tell me you don't have teenagers here. I've already left another gym for that reason he assured me multiple times that it was not like the other gym however, it's worse now I'm trying to cancel my membership and I can't login for some reason. It's telling me my name is incorrect clearly I know my first name. I'm so disappointed that I've wasted for a few months and haven't been able to work out let alone find a parking spot. I'm disappointed that the salesman really acted like a salesman and put on a show, but wasn't honest with me.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with EOS Fitness in Encinitas. I went in for a one-day trial, and they assured me that I would not be charged. However, I later found out they had charged me for an entire year's membership--while I wasn't even in the country! I reached out to Michael Laguna, their Operations Manager, multiple times. Not only was he indifferent to the fact that I had been charged hundreds of dollars for a membership I never used, but he also promised to refund the annual fee and the first month's payment. Instead, he ghosted me and continued charging my card without authorization. This level of dishonesty and poor customer service is unacceptable. I would never recommend EOS Fitness to anyone. They are more interested in taking your money than providing any real value or service. Avoid this place at all costs.

Worst managed and maintained EoS I have visited. I don't even mention issues or problems any more because staff ignores them. Here's a start of things they could do but will likely ignore: 1. Don't allow members to spend hours on one machine talking and using cell phione. 2. Get machines repaired quickly. One has been out of service 3 weeks 3. Add another bench in men's sauna so don't need to stand. 4. Maintain showers. Half aren't working properly or soap dispenser is broken or out of soap. Latches often broken. Water won't turn off. Sometimes hot goes left. Sometimes right. 5. Add two more hooks to hang items in shower. Add shampoo dispenser 6. Have some events or perhaps bagel/pizza days like Planet Fitness to get members to meet each other 7. Honor the 7 day passes they mail out with no BS exceptions. 8. Put a large sign at the start of the 8 machines that are for a cycle that the point is go through each quickly and not spend a day there. 9. Have a suggestion box and REPLY to every suggestion. 10. Bring in management and staff that listens and cares and is geared to customer service. You're welcome. If any of these get done I will be amazed.
