I’m pretty positive all of the good reviews of this place are from employees. (I know some are)Mind you, the mechanics in the back are positively brilliant at restoring cars and even coming up with rad custom modifications. The front office staff are some of the most dedicated and hard working people you’ll ever meet. (A shame they get no recognition for it)The owner is an absolute ego maniac. He’ll treat you with all the kindness in the world when he’s trying to sell something and believes he’ll get your money. However, if you’re not making him money- or if there was any issue with the quality of work done on your vehicle- he will treat you with the same respect he would show a mosquito.I worked there for few months, watched 3 employees walk out crying because of his behavior. If a customer walked in, I was expected to ignore them entirely instead of greeting them to make them feel welcome. I didn’t feel morally right working there, being required to communicate untrue things to customers.

We recently purchased a 1964 Porsche 356 from Classic Showcase, Oceanside, CA. It was advertised as ready to drive, show and enjoy. Not so. We drove only 41 miles before it has to be flat-bedded back for costly repairs, at our expense no less. Some repairs were completed satisfactorily; some were not. We discovered safety issues, mechanical issues and even dashboard rust and cosmetic issues. Electrical problems, steering problems, fluid leakage problems, lock problems, tire problems, transmission problems and lighting problems etc. abound. Just yesterday, one of the exhaust tail pipe extensions they recently installed simply fell off and was lost on the side of the road. So far, we have spent hundreds of dollars and countless hours trying to make this car roadworthy. As long-time Porsche owners, we have enjoyed exceptional Porsche service for over 5 decades. But, not this time. We will not do business with Classic Showcase again.

I purchased 1964 Porsche 356 recently from Classic Showcase, Oceanside, CA. They certified the car was ready to drive, show and enjoy. Unfortunately, it was not. I only drove 41 miles until the problems began. The car meandered all over the road and wouldn't start. Therefore, I replaced a bad battery then had to flat-bed it back to Classic Showcase for repair. This at my expense. They refused to cover anything. They then worked on the car, charged hundreds of dollars but many of the problems including electrical issues, locks, and fluid leaks continued. Much of their work had to be redone at my expense. They even charged almost $200. to make a key and I paid $800. to have the car towed back to my residence because it was unreliable. When it arrived on the flatbed truck, I discovered a large puddle of oil under the engine. New problems continued to arise such as incorrect tire alignment, significant hidden rust under the dash top cover, an exhaust tip they installed that fell off and was lost on the roadside and missing seat parts. Paint problems were also discovered. While they claim to have a service warranty, it is limited and not useful. They continue to concoct all sorts of excuses for the problems. In fact, the car is not ready to drive, show or enjoy. I will not do business with Classic Showcase again.

We brought our 1969 Jaguar E type and our ask was to help get the engine running and drivable. $13K and 2 months later, we drove it 50 miles and the "new tire" they put on popped and car stopped working. We had to get it towed to another mechanic and for $1000 less, car is working fine! We were ripped off, they charged us for cleaning and inspecting the car and did minimal service to it. The owner blamed us because we couldn't understand their confusing service order notes. It was all BS to take our money. We thought we were paying for their knowledge instead they took advantage of us. Don't go here.

Bought a 1966 E Type 4.2 Jaguar for 180,000.00 and it looked stunning. Well reality is a lot of window dressing, drove the car 200 feet and it died, called Classic Showcase and the owner said I would have to ship it to him for repair at my expense if I wanted him to look at it. Wasn't happy about that but did it, was told the problem was wrong size head bolts that were installed by them incorrectly. So they covered the repairs I paid shipping, The owners comment was no big deal most people I sell cars to don't drive them they let them sit in a garage or showroom, WOW Really. So anyway I just put the into winterization opened the hood and found the paint flaking off the exhaust manifold, big time the car has 250 miles on it. I didn't have time to check it out completely but I pretty sure they painted the Manifolds with the same paint they painted the car with lacquer instead of ceramic coating them. My feeling is they tend to cut corners for more profit and get a heck of a lot for the cars. I won't even call them it will take to many call to get the owner to take the call.
