Service is always top notch. As a female I have been scammed multiple times to have my car fixed or serviced, here the employees are always honest. West Oceanside Automotive never does me dirty. They also offer a complementary shuttle service to whichever destination you need to get to. They are amazing!

Would not trust this mechanic. They charged me almost $3500 for transmission work that did not fix my vehicle's condition. Misdiagnosed the problem and refused to own it. Stuck me with the full bill and offered no help. Extremely poor experience

Fan clutch went out again shortly after WOAT replaced it. They were quick to get the last one in the nation shipped from CO and replace it under GM warranty. All good so far! This team is professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and respectful. Hard to find these days.

Service Manager, Dart Fritz, was very accommodating when we brought our Jeep back in for warranty work on failed transmission that they had replaced two years ago. Dart, his mechanics, and West Automotive Group completely stood by their 3-year warranty! We highly recommend this automotive group!

Mangled the drain plug and Quality level was low. And the boss had a terrible attitude and raised his voice at me.I have taken a couple vehicles here. First A manual for a clutch swap and finally an automatic Chevy. The clutch swap was a problem when a bolt was improperly torqued and actually ended up falling into the clutch assembly where it made a hell of a racket as it bounced around the bell housing till I removed it and showed them. He wanted to take Zero accountability for that. Then the automatic blew up after 2 years when the original lasted 20. Upon inspection this was the condition of my drain plug. Tightened beyond repair. A ruined affair. I’m pretty disappointed so that’s my take.

Had a transmission rebuilt by this Company. Had a 3 year, 50,000 mile warrantee on the work. After 4 years and just 22,000 miles the transmission failed. Went in and talked to them. They wouldn't even offer to take a look at it much less offer any help on any work needing to be done to get my car running again.

My truck's transmission finally gave out near 200k miles after another long road trip. Based on Yelp reviews I barely limped into Oceanside Transmissions. They were honest and straightforward and price wasn't bad considering the situation. Unfortunately, after the work was done I drove away and low fluid alarm started going off. They took it back and fixed an oil sensor that had some crud that got knocked onto it free of charge even though it was not through their own mistake. Outstanding customer service and overall experience with this team. Exactly the type of shop that earns and keeps your trust.

I'm an auto tech instructor so I'm picky, fuzzy, and freaky about who touches my car. A fellow tech recommended Oceanside Transmission when my clutch went out and these guys did not disappoint. No nonsense, fair pricing, but most importantly, I couldn't have done it better myself, and their customer service is excellent. I highly recommend Oceanside Transmission. Thank you for such a pleasant experience and a job well done!Service: Transmission

Can't recommend Oceanside Transmission highly enough! Other shops I tried gave my troublesome EuroVan zero input time but Dart and the team took a heck of a lot of extra time and attention to thoroughly asses my needs, give me a true diagnosis and advise me on the best course of action. Honest and fair I really felt they went way above and beyond to help me and charged only a minor fee for all the time they spent. I'm extremely grateful, a happy customer. Thank you team!

We took our VW Passat in with a hard shift into 2nd gear. After diagnosing the transmission by Oceanside Transmission, we were told it could be the valve body in the transmission or the transmission is bad. He said when we take the transmission apart, we will look for debris in the transmission. If there is debris the transmission is no good, if there is not debris, we only need a valve body replaced. SO, The took the transmission apart and told us that the transmission needed a valve body. We agreed to have the car "fixed". We pick up the car and there was still a hard/bad shift between 2nd and 3rd. We were told that we need to drive the car for a few weeks to "re-train" the cars computer. After a few more weeks we took the car back to Oceanside Transmission, this time we were told the problem was a fuel pump and that we needed to take the car to a mechanic and have it checked out. SO, we did. The machinic told us it was not the fuel pump but that the transmission was bad. SOOO, we took the back to Oceanside Transmission. We were told that they had checked the transmission the last time it was in and that if we wanted to have it checked again it was going to cost the diagnostic fee. I talk to them, and they agreed to look at the transmission. After a few days we talked to them and was told the transmission was had debris and need to be rebuild. Soooo, I asked, "but when. You worked on it the first time you said there was not any Debris and that the car needs a valve body. I was told" well its been 3 months and the transmission had deteriorated in that time. Soooo I ask what do we do now. I was given 1 option. Oceanside Transmission could rebuild the transmission and we would get a 700.00 credit on the cost to rebuild, our cost was going to be 4500.00. Soooo Now I am out 5500.00 and the car does not shift correctly.

Dart helped me out and he was super helpful and educated me on the problems and fixed it in a timely manner. I felt like I was in good hands here.
