I was GOING to join BUT after reading the LONG NEGATIVE list of reviews.. it is apparent they have a dirty gym in need of repairs and upkeep..and their comments are merely blah blah blah..since the negative reviews keep coming.. I WONT BE WAISTING MY MONEY.. off to LA FITNESS..

(Warning to Prospective Members) Dear 24 Management; Instead of replying with your same generic words, 'we're sorry... we'll try and do better in the future...' but not actually doing so, why don't you just do what it takes and either; 1) fix the jacuzzi (it's been down for the last 3 months now, right?!), or 2) remove it from your list of amenities. Otherwise you are opening yourselves up to a potential lawsuit for false advertising and misrepresentation (hint, hint). Too bad that, besides feeling great, there are numerous other health and wellness benefits to hot water therapy, which your members can't experience at your club. ...Well, it's been 5 months since my last post (so funny how they actually responded non-generically only after hinted legal action), and I finally got the motivation to return here, and so here is my final take; In addition to weights the pool, jacuzzi, and saunas are my main focus. I originally joined 24 at Frazee in O'side because it is only a 7 min walk from my front door. The club overall was so disgusting and the pool water quality so bad, with the wet facilities filthy and only sporadically-working, that I decided to shuffle cars with room mates and drive over the hill 15 mins to the 24 Carlsbad, at the mall. So glad I did. You will find the crew cleaning in there regularly to keep things nicer and I've never seen an amenity not working.
Having said all that, on my last/most recent visit to Frazee, I must admit there has been much improvement to my areas of concern, and I am adding a star because of it. It's still not up to my personal standards and preferences, but I am happy to say there has been improvement. All the wet facilities were working, the pool area was cleaner generally, the water clearer, but still an overwhelming unhealthy-feeling, heavy, chemical-smelling air, and the steam room, though actually working, smells like a soiled jock strap. Simple solution; regular cleaning, like Carlsbad does.
A more minor but telling note; they have a triangular/3-faced digital clock hanging in the weight area. 1 of the 3 faces was 2 hours behind? While I was working out a super-ripped older guy said, 'shows you how much they care, they don't even bother to fix the time.' His words not mine. Still, they have definitely improved. Still again, I won't be back. Be Well fitness enthusiasts!

By far the grossest 24 Hr Fitness I have ever been to. The sauna and bathroom are literally unusable. I don’t understand how this management team is still in business.

Love this place and so happy they fixed the pool area. I wish through that they would clean the locker rooms better. All the mold, and, nasty hair, and whatever, else is on the floor. I prefer the Carlsbad one it's much clear and better kept. I wish the one closer to my home was cleaner as it's maybe 1/2 mile from house. So I'm going out of my way by 6 miles to go to a cleaner gym

I am new to the area and was looking for a gym and requested a free trail pass. I think they gave me like 3 days but after the first day I made up my mind that I will not be a member. Bathrooms are dirty and the pool and sauna area were disgusting and they smelled. People workout out then jump in the pool without showering. I’m sure somebody will get aids from this place. Stay away!!!

I’ve been working out with a personal trainer since January, named Kaitlyn✨. She has seriously been the best thing I have done for myself. She’s extremely open-minded caring and knowledgeable. I’ll be forever grateful for Kaitlyn!!!!

Health concerns as the gym floor around machine always full of dust and hair. Feedback has been given to managers several times, but no improvement. Not to mentioned bad ventilation which could have been improved by installing big fans like the one in Carlsbad.
Members still keep coming because it is near where they live.

Infested with ANTS! need to clean and sanitize the gym is filthy and the shower drains are clogged so it creates puddles when showering.!
