“We stayed in the farmhouse. It is really beautiful and well maintained. I love the outdoor showers! We were with such a big group, I opted to actually sleep outside on the front porch, just so I wouldn't have to share of them with someone. And also I love sleeping outside. The vibe was amazing, I slept Great! The peaceful and gorgeous. The big enormous hot tub is so cool, you fill it up yourself and then drain it when you're done. We looked around the grounds and saw the other buildings, which are all incredible. We weren't there for an event, just renting the house, but the event space is absolutely gorgeous and anyone who gets married very very lucky!”

7900 Orcutt Rd, San Luis Obispo“This place is incredible! They have really put in a lot of work and effort to make it such a great looking wedding party barn venue facility that they have to offer!Jim and Brandon, who are so nice and easy going, really go out to make it work for you! The location and environment is beautiful! Look at all of the wonderful photos for proof! It is even a true working cattle and farming ranch! Also the food caterers they have had there serve up some delicious grub! You can call Brandon to even get a live FaceTime video like some who book it that way!Keep up the great work!I can hardly wait until we get invited there again!Kevin R.”
“We are so happy to have stumbled upon this gem in the SLO area for our wedding venue. We had around 150 guests at our wedding and I would say the venue accommodated the group just fine. The family who owns the property was very friendly. We had no issues with booking and our wedding planner took care of all the details/coordination. I believe their wedding package comes with white plastic chairs/round tables, wine barrel tabletops and white umbrellas. There are two bathrooms onsite and ample parking space as well. Wifi can be spotty so I recommend guests drive vs. uber/lyft. Pricing was very reasonable compared to the other venues we were looking at.The greenery is unreal and there are loads of different areas for your wedding photos which I liked (i.e., lower lawn, garden/stairway, orchard, pergola, etc). I would describe the venue as having two different areas. The upper half is where we had the welcome area and cocktail hour, there's also a storefront that is open to the public and the lower half is where we had our ceremony and reception. We did have to flip the layout (changing from ceremony to reception in between) so it was nice to have a separate area for our guests to go to for cocktail hour. We did not experience any issues with the storefront/campsite customers. Everyone was respectful. The dance floor was large enough for our wedding size and I liked that there are benches surrounding the deck which gave our guests the option to sit or rest and still be close to the festivities. The only thing (which wasn't a deal breaker for us but could be for others) is the venue has an early stoppage time and requires music to stop by 8pm. We ended up having our wedding from 2pm-8pm and added an after party in downtown SLO.Overall, I loved the venue and we have such fond and amazing memories of our wedding day.”
“My kids love exploring time, and Legacy has made my oldest son feel welcome. My oldest is eight years old and on the autism spectrum. He has a blast each time he goes to the gym. He always comes home smiling and in a great mood ?”
“Very welcoming, family feel bar and dining hall. You need a sponsor/ current member to become a member. Very family oriented with lunches or dinners cooked periodically by members for reasonable prices! Great drink prices too. The organization is a charity for youth!”
“Truly and amazing place. Once you walk in you'll establish the full effect of the place and it atmosphere. The workers are very nice and polite. A must go for a gathering of any relm. Enjoys yourselves...”
“Nice atmosphere. Servers are prompt and courteous. Food is not 5 star but for limited menu you have a wide variety of good chooses. A couple of the bartenders are real mixlogist. Sometimes we just have appetizers and cocktails. Live music a couple times a week.”

“Unrivaled event venue. Judi has almost 5 decades experience, with a reputable name, and wonderful setup, this is the place to have an event/wedding/party. 11/10, hands-down.”
“My husband and I were looking for the perfect location to get married: he wanted a barn, I wanted a vineyard, we wanted a wedding weekend with a place for our bridal party and their significant others to stay. We found Greengate Ranch & Vineyard very serendipitously and it was basically fate that GGRV had our exact date open ONLY in the month of May. After viewing the grounds and all of the available locations, we were sold. Greengate is downright gorgeous. We chose the barn to have our ceremony in and had the cocktail hour outside of the barn, and we chose the stables to have our reception in. Jena was very professional and made our wedding weekend very comfortable. She knows exactly what she's doing with the property. The housing accommodations are designed to perfection and we couldn't have dreamt up a more perfect location for our wedding.”
“This venue is stunning! I photographed a wedding here and I have to say - this place has one of my favorite ceremony views of all time! You can’t beat that afternoon light and that mountain backdrop!”
“Windfill Farm offers a humble and heartwarming experience, a place where simplicity and joy go hand in hand. With just $2 for entry and another $2 for a basket of feed, visitors are given a charming, self-service opportunity to connect with animals in a way that feels refreshingly genuine. Each animal brings its own gentle character to the experience: a mini horse with an inquisitive gaze, a wise old turtle, friendly goats, and a pig with a personality as big as its appetite.
This farm offers more than just the sight of cute animals—it’s a reminder of the innocence and peace found in nature’s small creatures. Feeding and petting them instills a quiet sense of gratitude for the simple pleasures life offers. In their company, time seems to slow, and the ordinary becomes memorable. Windfill Farm isn’t just a visit; it’s a delightful reminder of the beauty in small, thoughtful moments.

We will definitely come back.”
“Food used to be good until Elks rented out our kitchen. The food the new kitchen owners make is awful!!! I feel like I'm eating in a rest homefor the elderly..Small portion, no taste,Price $$ high.Ordered Chicken Fried steak, had a dab of gravy on top.Asked for extra gravy,I received 2 more tablespoons in a tiny dish..We won't be eating at our favorite Elks Lodge again..Our Lodge is loosing money, that's a shame”
