Camped here with a big group, we had a wonderful time. All the staff were extra helpful and super nice, can’t wait to comeback soon.

We just drove across the country from NY as we are moving to the central coast. When we arrived after 6 days of driving, our property still wasn’t ready to close. We had our motor home full of dogs, all of our belongings and 5 vehicles. We booked Pacific Dunes Ranch last minute, literally the same day, and stayed for about 2 weeks until we could figure out our property. Our rv spot was awesome, plenty of room for our motor home, 2 vehicles, picnic table and fence we set up for our dogs. We were able to park all of our vehicles in the main parking lot as well. There are so many area to walk pets, we loved walking over to the horses! The shower and bathroom was amazing, super clean. So many cute sitting areas outside and an easy walk to the dunes. The staff here is incredible, they really saved us during this difficult time. They were so accommodating and understanding to our situation. I would 100% recommend this amazing resort and I can’t wait to come back- for a vacation this time!

Great location, reasonable price. Maintenance is lacking. Sites not cleaned of trash. Bathroom not inviting. The modesty panel between the sink and the urinal is missing. Makes it uncomfortable for the man brushing his teeth next to the guy taking a leak.

Overall a great place to camp, sad to see the horses go as that is a memory I grew up with camping here as a kid.
Some of the back in spots are very tight and there is not enough parking room for all the tow vehicles so we have to squeeze into our small spots, making them smaller.
With the size of rvs and cars getting bigger with time, I believe this place will have to adapt and lose some of the quantity in exchange for quality of room.
Thank you thousand trails for your dog breed friendly policy, it keeps us coming back

Mediocre property with even pros and cons. Right next to the dunes but no vehicle access and quite far from the beach. Lots of long-timers with some being borderline hoarders. Sites are quite small with our neighbor's sewage system right next to our outside chair set-up. Some cats and dogs wandering the park unleashed. Sites are a bit rundown and dated with weeds present especially under the permanent residents RVs. Downtown Pismo Beach is a wonderful excursion with lots of iconic restaurants to indulge in. Beautiful beach off-roading available to those who happen to tow a vehicle. The park is somewhat isolated which did provide a sense of security and safety

We have been coming here for years for our family reunion. Pleasantly surprised to find all facilities updated. Both the marine hall and the bathrooms are pristine and look great.
Rv sites perfect for our various rvs. We will be back.
