“I’ve never experienced a hotel which honestly caters to their guests. Besides a great and knowledgeable staff, ample time to prepare a morning breakfast, afternoon munchies, late afternoon local wine and cheese selections, guests don’t need to leave their modest historical Mexican themed rooms. Everything is on site for fun!!!Although we did trek a couple blocks to the beach for some sand in our toes.I’ve stayed at several hotels around the world and I’m so glad my husband chose la Fonda!! My husband is like a,”hotel hound”. Can always sniff out the best ones, and yours is absolutely on the top of my list. Prepare for my huge family to visit!!!!”

“Beautiful place. My return back was even better than the last visit. Anytime I'm in Pismo and need a place to stay I highly recommend Inn at the cove! Stunning views. Amazing staff. I love this place and always tell family and friends to go. I can't wait to make return for a longer stay. Also inn at the cove was kind enough to extend our check out for a longer Stay which made my last day even better. Thank you. I garrentee you will be satisfied with your stay. My recommendation is book a room with beach front to get the full experience.”

“Thank you Shell Beach Inn! You were a saviour on a last min, late night trip (friends mum was not with us much longer).
I'm super picky about my bed, and usually can't get comfortable on most mattresses (almost all are too soft, and offer no support). Your beds were wonderful, fluffy, yet firm.
Bedding was crisp and clean. Room was spotless, too. (I check everything lol)
I didn't have any dinner, nor was I really hungry, but I hadn't eaten all day, so the popcorn was a wonderful thought, and meant more than you know.
The only negative, is the coffee. It isn't very good. I don't know if it's the machine, or filter, or bottled water, but both packets of sugar, and all 4 packets of yucky artificial sugar, could not mask the bad taste. (Room 5)
But now I know that, when I do stay with you again (and I WILL), I'll just bring my own, or buy a coffee.

“Such a lovely boutique hotel located on the most charming street and couple minutes away from most iconic locations like pismo beach , Avila beach , Dinosaur cave , monarch butterfly groove ! “Wow I just Love this Inn A Block from the Beach, I Love Room 7 Or 5, it got a Big King Size Bed and a small Kitchen that has all the Comfort of Home I open the Window and I can Hear the Beach, Two of most Favorite Restaurants you can walk Hoagies's and Splash Clam Chowder both have a great Choice of Food and Atmosphere. There is much you can do that in Walking Distance Bowling or Pool Tables for Breakfast I go to Cool Cats or Brad Restaurant, just one Block away. Less than 5 miles you have the Outlet Mall. Monarch butterflies.. Movie theater. Driving on the Beach or Rental of Four Wheeler's, and sand rails, there is Wine Tasting. And Downtown San Luis Obispo has Shopping Thursdays Night Farmers Market Parking doses Cost Restaurant are Plenty. Visit Avila Beach. And San Luis Obispo Pier fishing buying fresh Seafood Caught Locally and then Return to the Comfort of Home your Room and enjoy the Fireplace and all the King Size Bed you will want to Sleep in.”

“Vespera, simply put, was the perfect place to hold a wedding.Ally, Holly, and team were great from start to finish - accommodating, very understanding, listening to what our needs were and making sure that the venue was as customized to our liking as possible.The actual hotel location is gorgeous - right along the beach, with amazing sunsets, and that led to a really beautiful backdrop for our wedding.The food at Pequin is amazing too - our guests loved all the options.The color scheme of various shades of blue were exactly what we were looking for and that really reflected throughout.We used the Starlight Lawn patio area (by the pool outside) for our ceremony and reception and did Cocktail Hour alongside the patios by the boardwalk. We did not do a beach wedding even though some people choose to do that.We are super happy with Vespera and special shoutout to Ally and Holly and the team - thank you so much and we encourage you to consider Vespera for something that’s halfway between SF and LA.”

“Our stay was wonderful! Price was great for a weekend stay. The grounds were beautiful. We had the suite, very spacious. The only complaint was the shower head trickled and the drain in the shower didn’t drain so water was by our feet. The rest of the room was beautiful. Would definitely stay here again!!

“Husband super picky on places to stay in, and this place surprised both of us. We liked it, clean, no bad smell, beds were comfy. My room looks totally different from what someone on the reviews posted. Rooms Must been updated. Really appreciated was the plush blankets that were given in the room. I hate blankets all hotels give and I usually take my own and what was funny that on this trip I totally forgot my own ? Also the front desk was not rude, every nice and welcoming. Just one thing I didn't like was my toddlers (2&1 year olds) being able to open the door even though we would lock it. Other than that we enjoyed our Stay and will be returning! Thank you!!”

For $111 on a weekend you get a King Bedroom plus a Queen Bedroom as well! Walk down the street and you can go down a staircase right onto the beach! It is absolutely amazing for this price! A true hidden gem!

“I was really nervous when I booked my stay here , the reviews were horrible but I'm glad I took a chance !! Upon our arrival the first thing I noticed was how clean the room was , and I mean really clean !!! I got the double bed room , it has the fridge and microwave, it's pretty spacious. My expectations were pretty high considering we usually stay at Sea Venture but , we're members of the Elks lodge and it's really close and convenient so I decided to take a chance and stay here . There's a liquor store right next door so it's really convenient, the only downside is there's no ice machine but it was fine because the store is next door. The beds are super comfy and The customer service was outstanding , so friendly!! Im definitely coming back here !!”
