I recently bought a 72" dvd cabinet as was very happy with it. It was well-protected in the box and quite easy to put together. The finish is very nice. The shelf pegs fit nicely into the holes. All-in-all, I'm very happy with it.

We just received our 50" Stereo Cabinet with Glass Doors and are very pleased with our purchase! Shipping was on time, shipment tracking excellent, the cabinet parts were well packaged with no damage in transit. The cabinet was simple for one person to assemble, and looks great! Looking forward to many years of use.

I ordered a custom cabinet from Peter in October ‘23. At the final stage, Peter decided to use cherry for the lower third of the 100% walnut cabinet I had ordered. I tried to be gracious and try the door in my home, but the cherry was not what I wanted—or what I had ordered and paid for.
Peter then got a bit short and told me that I would need to pay to return the door that had been made wrong. $375 later he had the door. It then took him 4.5 months to return the door to me (made with walnut)—when received I realized that he had used the shipping box that had been used for the prior two shipments.
The door was broken when received. Instead of continuing to try to get what I ordered from Peter I had a friend glue the two slats that had popped out and carefully repair the third slat that had broken clean thru.
The remade door was not sanded or glued properly—but it is what it is. Let my $3k lesson save you the cost.

Peter's craftmanship is excellent! Fit and finish of the kit was superb as was the packaging. Very well done. Shipped on time and delivered as promised.

Purchased a media cabinet in black with pull out drawers. Compared to most cabinets it is much better built as you would expect for the price. Customer service was truly excellent. I would purchase from Decibel again. Now for details. First I was surprised that it showed up in an ikea like box demanding ikea type build. At the price point I expected the case to be one unit. Perhaps I didn’t read the description closely enough. The build was pretty straight forward and the end result is very good indeed. I had to buy some matching stain as a few places were not stained as well as I liked but I’m fussy. Getting the glass doors to align was a chore for sure. I ordered two sliding shelves (glad I did) but was surprised it shipped with three standard shelves as well. In this short cabinet they are useless. The only real gripe I have is the skirt at the bottom surrounding the casters are “taped” on and you cannot do it without a gap at the corners. Took off the tape at the corners and put in a couple wood screws. All is well

We visited the shop and selected Maple wood and the Stain color we wanted. Peter showed us how the cabinet is constructed and finished. It arrived several weeks later in two heavy carefully designed shipping boxes. All the pieces were beautifully manufactured and finished. Everything fit together perfectly. No problems with the assembly at all. I worked slowly and patiently and was rewarded with a wonderful cabinet for my audio equipment. We highly recommend decibel Designs.Services: Cabinet design

Like another reviewer, I needed a good-looking, solid cabinet tailored to my old school amp and turntable. I bought the 27" Stereo Rack and am very happy with it. Mine was ordered unfinished and without doors. Staining the prices prior to assembly was easy and the assembly process was very straightforward. The finished cabinet is very solid and looks great. This is a well-engineered product.

I needed an old-school stereo cabinet for my vintage gear. I was nervous about having glass shipped cross-country, but everything was packed with extreme care, and arrived in perfect shape. The cabinet itself is rock-solid, especially after adding in the sliding shelf. The only change I would suggest is a hinged back panel - that would make it so much easier to connect (or swap out) components. I absolutely recommend their work.

I purchased a hand made wooden Stereo Cabinet from this company. The owner Peter, is a fine craftsman. I selected a cabinet that allowed me to store a record collection in the bottom, with wood doors, and 5 shelves in the upper cabinet, one a slide out for a turntable. I was given the choice of finish from Minwax stains. I also chose a tinted glass door, with locks. The build included 6 plastic double caster wheels. The only hinges and knobs available are black and metal. The locks are plastic and not worthy of the unit. Overall a very nice cabinet. Some of the things I would change is to allow the customer a selection of knobs and hinges to chose from, I recommend steel casters as plastic breaks to easily. I was not happy with the construction of the back, even though it was wood. It was two pieces of 1/4 wood tapped down the center, and brads were provided to nail it on. I purchased and used small screws. The back was not stained not even a clear varnish, and in my case included overspray and handprints of the varnished used on the rest of the unit. I had to provide the wood glue. The instructions for assembly had to be downloaded, and did not include any information about hinge adjustment, or placement of the locks, and adjustment and/or the placement of the back was vague. I spent over two hours trying to adjust the doors to be even on both sides, an impossible task, I had not idea how to install the locks, but after emailing for instructions, installed them, then took them off and threw them away. There is no way the locks would prevent anyone from getting into the cabinet, they were just plastic junk. To be fair, I must say that Peter gave me 3.5" wider shelves to accommodate my wide receiver, for no addition cost. ( The extra wood equaled the width of a normal shelf.) The doors and locks are included with the base price of the cabinet even if you don't want them. The slide out was $29, and the stain ( I chose Gun Mental) was $127.00. Base Price was $636, with my add -on's I paid $763.00 a very far price. My biggest aggravation came to the method of packing, The cabinet came in two boxes that were stapled, taped and glued closed. Peter wrapped the parts in clear wrap, and then used spray foam insulation instead of Styrofoam, to fill in the empty spaces. On one side of the box, he sprayed circles of the foam to cushion the product and fill the space. I was left with one large green plastic bag of foam to throw away. It literally took me 1.5 hours just to open and remove the parts. Perhaps the dumbest way to pack wood, Overall I got a nice product with a lot of aggravation. I certainly will purchase some bookcases in the future, as long as he promises not to use spray foam for packing.Services: Assemble furniture

I ordered a custom cabinet from DeciBel Designs. The customer service was excellent as was the finished product that is custom built right here in the USA using quality materials. Working with Peter was a breeze. 5 stars!
