Dr. Lane and her staff have been extremely helpful, thorough and compassionate in treating our dog. Honestly, the care they have provided surpasses that of many human primary care practices. They are transparent about costs and the office is clean and well run. Highly recommended.

Was able to get my dog in for treatment in less than an hour after calling just after they opened on a Monday morning. Not only did Dr Lane treat an aggressive ear infection she was able to treat his allergies and annoying scratching and itching. he has been resting peacefully without the bothering itch. Thank you for taking good care of our Big Puppy.

Very nice office. Friendly, capable staff. Reasonable prices. Great doctor. Responsive phone, communication and good appointment availability. They were nice to my cat!

Found veterinArian very ridged. Not personable. Did not take time to regard the pet she was with. Would not recommend for humans or animals. Looking for the dollar.

Dr. Lane has cared for all of my pets for maybe a decade. My pets have only gotten the best care at Occidental Vet. Dr. Lane & staff are top notch & I highly recommend Dr.Lane. My dogs actually love going to the vet!

We are on a budget and trying to get our dog cared for. They were condescending when I had to choose to not go the full nine yards and only go with the $400+ option rather than the $1200 option for fleas meds and vaccinations. One of the vaccinations required a follow up shot that I assumed was included in the original charge since it was required, but it was not. It was another $126 that was never mentioned. Make sure you are well off before going here.

This vet helped us out in an emergency with our two dogs and got us in on short notice and provided excellent care. Also 24hr turnaround on fecal tests is very convenient. Would recommend.

I have been taking my critters here since 2009: 4 cats, 2 dogs. Dr. Lane, Sylvia and the staff are family. Besides the veterinary care, which is extraordinary, they are so much more. They are steady, They are compassionate. They are therapists all rolled into one complete clinic. I've had few in my life, who have been there for me and my beloved critters than them. The only possible exception being family. That's why I adamantly view them as such....family.

Dr. Lane is a GREAT Vet! She listens, takes time with you and your pet and thoroughly diagnoses and explains health issues and treatment options. Stella (my Staffie) and I love Dr. Lane!!!

This veterinary hospital did an outstanding job at our first visit. Every staff member I encountered was kind, caring, and professional. My dog has a bit of a long history but they were patient and understanding, which can be rare in businesses these days! They also have a great location that's easy to find, in "downtown" Occidental.

I can't say enough good things about the staff at Occidental Vet. My dog was experiencing vomiting and bloody diarrhea. They got Pepper in the same day and he was evaluated and treated by Dr. Graff initially, who drew blood, prescribed antibiotics and something for vomiting. The next day, I received a call from Dr. Lane, who gave me Pepper's diagnosis and recommended that we come in to get Pepper subcutaneous fluids, as he was pretty dehydrated. Mind you, Pepper is pretty vet-averse, so we had to muzzle and sedate him so that they were able to administer the fluids a little more calmly (yikes!). Pepper is now back to his high-energy self. A thousand thanks to the staff at Occidental Vet, who were very professional, caring and on top of it.

Dr. Graff provided excellent, compassionate, services to my mom and her feline companion of 18 years. With his help, a very vet aggressive cat was able to pass on peacefully at home, with his favorite human, in his favorite patch of sunlight. Picking up the cremains and paw prints afterward was made simple and convenient. My mom is older and lives alone, and I’m so grateful that she was able to say goodbye to her boy in this way, so thank you.
